  • For Fast Real-time Recognition of Nonlinear Error Data, a new Neural Network algorithm which recognized the map in real time is proposed. The proposed neural network technique is the real time computation method through the inter-node diffusion, In the network, a node corresponds to a state in the quantized input space. Each node is composed of a processing unit and fixed weights from its neighbor nodes as well as its input terminal. The most reliable algorithm derived for real time recognition of map, is a dynamic programming based algorithm based on sequence matching techniques that would process the data as it arrives and could therefore provide continuously updated neighbor information estimates.   • The performance of real-time systems depends upon how well the tasks are scheduled within a cycle time and how fastly the response is made according to the occurrence of an external event. This paper presents the design of an effective real-time data acquisition system in order to gather the data from an automobile engine. This paper investigates an estimation and a restriction method of execution for aperiodic data. Also, the guarantee problem of real-time constraint is presented for periodic data. Through the experiments, the hard real-time guarantee problem of periodic data is studied and the damage problem of periodic data according to the increase of aperiodic tasks is analyzed.

  • 본 논문에서는 Qplus의 빠른 부팅과 연성 실시간 기술의 응답성 개선 효과를 입증하기 위해 절대적인 평가보다 상대적인 평가를 통해 실제 사용되는 서비스가 원활히 수행되는 지를 평가한다. 연성 실시간, 빠른 부팅, 파일 시스템 기술이 적용된 Qplus와 이러한 기술이 적용되지 않은 임베디드 리눅스를 개발보드에 탑재한 후, 멀티미디어 스트리밍 서비스에 대한 연성 실시간 기능 및 통신 성능 평가를 위해 AV(Audio/Video) 그룹통신을 개발 보드에 포팅하여 부팅시간 측정 실험, 연성실시간 측정 실험을 위해 자체 성능 측정실험, 통신 성능 평가를 위해 네트워크경유 성능 측정실험 등으로 나누어 크게 3가지를 수행하여 Qplus의 실제적인 성능평가와 분석을 수행한다.

  • 원격지 모형 물체에 대한 추출정보의 실시간 정보의 인식 및 전송을 위하여 실시간 신경회로망을 제안하였다. 제시된 신경회로망 기법은 내부 노드의 확산을 통하여 실시간 계산 기법으로 수행된다. 회로망 내에서 노드는 양자화 된 입력 영역내의 한 상태로 결정되며, 각 노드는 자신의 입력신호와 이웃하는 정보입력의 가중치 신호의 합에 의해 새로운 정보 유닛으로 산출되어진다. 모형 물체의 실시간 인식을 위하여 제안되는 가장 이상적인 알고리즘은 순서적 정합기법인데, 임의의 위치 정보를 주변의 상태 공간에 신속하게 전파시켜 자연스런 정보의 보간 상태를 이룬다. 비선형 불규칙적 영상정보를 실시간인식을 위하여 다양한 시뮬레이션을 실행하였다. 1차원 정보전파 신경망 하드웨어를 제작하여 정적 및 동적 신호가 있는 다양한 실험을 수행하였다.

A Dual Modeling Method for a Real-Time Palpation Simulator

  • This paper presents a dual modeling method that simulates the graphic and haptic behavior of a volumetric deformable object and conveys the behavior to a human operator. Although conventional modeling methods (a mass-spring model and a finite element method) are suitable for the real-time computation of an object's deformation, it is not easy to compute the haptic behavior of a volumetric deformable object with the conventional modeling method in real-time (within a 1kHz) due to a computational burden. Previously, we proposed a fast volume haptic rendering method based on the S-chain model that can compute the deformation of a volumetric non-rigid object and its haptic feedback in real-time. When the S-chain model represents the object, the haptic feeling is realistic, whereas the graphical results of the deformed shape look linear. In order to improve the graphic and haptic behavior at the same time, we propose a dual modeling framework in which a volumetric haptic model and a surface graphical model coexist. In order to inspect the graphic and haptic behavior of objects represented by the proposed dual model, experiments are conducted with volumetric objects consisting of about 20,000 nodes at a haptic update rate of 1000Hz and a graphic update rate of 30Hz. We also conduct human factor studies to show that the haptic and graphic behavior from our model is realistic. Our experiments verify that our model provides a realistic haptic and graphic feeling to users in real-time.

A Probabilistic Analysis for Periodicity of Real-time Tasks

  • This paper proposes a probabilistic method in analyzing timing measurements to determine the periodicity of real-time tasks. The proposed method fills a gap in existing techniques, which either concentrate on the estimation of worst-case execution times, or do not consider the stochastic behavior of the real-time scheduler. Our method is based on the Z-test statistical analysis which calculates the probability of the measured period to fall within a user-defined standard deviation limit. The distribution of the measured period should satisfy two conditions: its center (statistical mean) should be equal to the scheduled period of the real-time task, and that it should be symmetrical with most of the samples focused on the center. To ensure that these requirements are met, a data adjustment process, which omits any outliers in the expense of accuracy, is presented. Then, the Z-score of the distribution according to the user-defined deviation limit provides a probability which determines the periodicity of the real-time task. Experiments are conducted to analyze the timing measurements of real-time tasks based on real-time Linux extensions of Xenomai and RT-Preempt. The results indicate that the proposed method is able to provide easier interpretation of the periodicity of real-time tasks which are valuable especially in comparing the performance of various real-time systems.

  • Predictability of a Gaussian model, ISCST2 was assessed by scaling up wind tunnel experiments with a 1/3,000 terrain model to the real scale. Concentration profiles obtained from the flat-terrain experiment in the neutral condition were estimated to be in agreement with the calculated ones from ISCST2 in the stability class A, but the difference between the two was still large. Concentration profiles from the mountainous-terrain experiments were better fitted to the calculated ones primarily because in the experiment, concentration behind the source was raised due to the effect of a hill in the upstream side. Model prediction was improved with including the downwash effect of buildings and the hill, but overall concentration profiles were not much different from a typical Gaussian profile. While concentration profiles in the experiments were changed with local flows by varying the wind direction and the topography, those from the Gaussian modeling were mot freely changed together with these variations.

시험평가 실험계획을 위한 최적화 모형 (Optimization Model for Planning of Experiments in Test and Evaluation Process)

  • Purpose: It is critical to design a set of experiments in Test and Evaluation Process for a weapon system. Because there is no sufficient resources in real-world, one must choose a subset of experiments which is considered to be more important. Methods: We introduce an optimization model for choosing the subset of experiments by considering a priority of experimental variable and level and restrictions of resources. We describe in detail how we construct objective function and constraints which must be a right realization of our logic and assumption. Conclusion: Since our optimization model turns out to be computationally difficult to solve, we introduce an algorithm for reducing the size of problem. Various computational results follows.

점진적 팽창단조법에 의한 대형 노즐형제품의 성형공정 개발에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study of Forming Process Development in Large Nozzle-Shaped Product Using the Incremental Forging Method for Expanding)

  • In this paper, a new forming process of large-size forgings of converged nozzle-shape is developed by the experimental study using the incremental forging method and combined forming method. The development of the forming process is focused on the manufacturing of large-size forgings by the press with medium load capacity. Various related processes are proposed and modelling experiments using plasticine are carried out. Thus, the incremental forging method for expanding is recommanded from the study of formability and forming load, etc. The selected process is then subjected to modelling experiments of lead and the design parameters such as preform for final process, die-width of the upper die and reduction amount of each stroke are determined. In order to verify the effectiveness of the selected process, 1/7 scale prototype experiment of the real material is carried out. Forgings of converged nozzle shape can be produced by the developed process within the limit loads and with the simple tools.
