A study on the Packing ability of Concrete Filled in Steel Tube Column by High Strength Concrete (고강도 콘크리트를 이용한 CFT 기둥의 충전성 연구)

  • In this study, there are kind of property experiments like fluidity, compressive strength, bleeding measurement, concrete sink for CFT use high fluidity concrete. The property difference between before transmit and after transmit concrete in the mock up test with ready mixed concrete equipment is examined. The variable factors in mock up are diaphragm existence and nonexistence, diaphragm placing hole sizes. To investigate the concrete property under diaphragm, concrete packing ability tests is peformed. High fluidity and strength concrete which satisfied with mix criteria could apply to building construction field. It it is quality managed with use of packing ability analysis.

  • Recently, Trouble of sand supply is occurred according to exhaustion of natural sand resources. therefore, various measures are proposed for solution of trouble of sand supply also the government settled trouble of sand supply through application of crushed sand. but because both crushed sand are poor against general sand, they lead to lowering of qualify of ready-mixed concrete. Therefore, this study evaluated engineering property and durability of concrete using crushed sand and applied evaluation result to fundamental data for quality control of concrete using crushed sand. The results of this study have shown that quality of concrete using crushed sand independently is poor against general concrete. but, the workability, compressive strength and durability of concrete mixed crushed sand with genera can improve on those of concrete used general sand.

  • High flowing concrete has not spread whole in the normal concrete structure, because it requires special quality control technique. Recently owing to the lack of natural resources and reinforcement of environmental standard, the construction cost of cement is rapidly increased. Also ready mixed concrete industry has gone through various economical difficulty as the manufacture cost of concrete is increased. So, the purpose of this study is to evaluate the qualities of middle fluidity concrete using the fly-ash and portland blast-furnace slag cement in order to decrease the amount of cement and resolve the problem of the quality control of high flowing concrete and the manufacture cost. The results of this study show that it reduces the amount of addition of superplasticizer and develope properties of concrete to the use the fly-ash and portland blast-furnace slag cement.

  • The objective of this study is development of high strength lightweight concrete and application or structural use. For this, mix proportions for each strength level were selected from lab tests, and adapted to producing ready-mixed concrete in batcher plant. It was very important to prewet the lightweight aggregates sufficiently for producibility and also workability. Splitting tensile strength of high-strength lightweight concrete produced has lower values than that of normal weight concrete, but modulus of rupture and modulus of elasticity are not less than normal weight concrete. The strength reduction factor ($\lambda$) for sand-lightweight concrete make higher than 0.85 present in structures using high-strength lightweight concrete. And it was showed that not parabola distribution but triangular distribution of stress in compression zone.

  • The objective of this study is to investigate material properties and quality control of cast-in-place high strength concrete. High strength concrete with a design strength of 420 kgf/$\textrm{cm}^2$ is successfully produced at a ready-mixed concrete plant, and placed at a tall building. Many laboratory and field tests are carried out for the successful construction of the reinforced high strength concrete building. As the results of this study, the average actual 28-day compressive strength is 513 kgf/$\textrm{cm}^2$ and the coefficient of variation is 6.8%. The placing speed is comparable to normal strength concrete, however, the pump pressure is higher than that of normal strength concrete. To prevent cracks of massive and long concrete members, the control of hydration heat and shrinkage is very important.

  • Exact estimation of cement content in a hardened concrete can provide useful data to evaluate the quality and strength of the concrete and might be used to inspect the quality of precast concrete secondary products. Observation obtained in this research included : (1) the volume of coarse aggregate in the hardened concrete measured by the area comparison method has a high accuracy ; (2) the cement content in the mortar and the X-ray intensity of Ca-K$\alpha$ have a correlation factor of 0.96 ; (3) the cement content in the ready mixed concrete was estimated with high accuracy such as correlation factor of 0.99 and standard deviation of 0.64.

  • Recently, trouble of sand supplying is occurred according to exhaustion of natural sand resources. Therefore various measures are proposed for solution of trouble of sand supply and crushed sand among measures is used as one of most universal measures. But because crushed sand have poor particle shape and plenty of mikes micro particle, the quality of concrete using crushed sand deteriorated. Therefore, this study evaluated engineering property of concrete with replacement ratio of crushed sand and EEZ sand applied evaluation result to fundamental data for quality control of concrete using crushed sand and EEZ sand and The result of this study have shown that quality of concrete using crushed sand and EEZ sand and The compressive strengh of concrete up to 50, 70% EEZ sand replacement by crush sand, nearly equal to that of general sand.

  • Concrete has cracks from shrinkage that necessarily result from in hardening process. Shrinkage-reduced concrete developed for crack reduction was utilized at a sample construction project. As a result, it is confirmed that crack initation ratio was remarkably reduced when compared to the case of normal concrete utilization. Additional sample project is supposed to use delay joints as well as srinkage-reduced concrete. Subsequently, the result will be reported. The greatest factor which affects in drying shrinkage is unit quantity of water. However, there are a lot off difficulties in field supervision because proper measuring means is not presented in present standard. Therfore, problems depending on ready-mixed concrete concrete companies should be improved by preparing the related standard assoon as possible.

  • Discusses the results of an investigation of the relationship between maturity in field-cured specimens and that from the thinner dimension structure to thick, particularly at cold weather concrete. Tests were carried out on two different concrete mixes with 28 day compressive strengths ranging approximately 30MPa. Ready-mixed concrete was used, and test specimens were the conventional field-cured 10$\times$20cm concrete cylinder with insulating materials and without them, and test structures were the thinner(width 20cm), the general(width 40cm), the thick dimension(width 60cm), respectively. Tests were performed at age of 3, 7, 14, 28 day. Analyses of test results show that the maturity of concrete for require compressive strength was suggested to be keep higher than $164D^{circ}D$ until at least from 8day to 10day
