수질오염총량제도 유역의 수질 및 부하량 평가를 위한 웹기반 LDC 시스템의 적용 (Application of Web-based Load Duration Curve System to TMDL Watersheds for Evaluation of Water Quality and Pollutant Loads)

  • In South Korea, Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) has been enforced since 2004 to restore and manage water quality in the watersheds. However, the appraisal of TMDL in South Korea has lots of weaknesses to establish the plan for recovery of water quality because it just evaluates the target water quality during the particular flow duration interval. In the United States, Load Duration Curve (LDC) method bas been widely used in the TMDL to evaluate the water quality and pollutant loads considering variation of stream flow. In a recent study, web-based Load Duration Curve system was developed to create the LDC automatically and provide the convenience of use. In this study, web-based Load Duration Curve system was applied in the Gapyeongcheon watershed using the daily flow and 8-day interval water quality data, and Q-L Rating Curve was used to evaluate the water quality and pollutant load in the watershed, also. As a result of study, water quality and pollutant load in Gapyeongcheon watershed were met with water quality standard and allocated load in the all flow durations. Web-based Load Duration Curve system could be applied to the appraisal of South Korean TMDL because it can be used to judge the impaired flow duration and build up the plan of load reduction, and it could enhance the publicity. But, web-based Load Duration Curve system should be enhanced through addition of load assessment tools such as Q-L rating curve to evaluate water quality and pollutant load objectively.

뇌졸중 환자를 대상으로 실시한 한글판 기능적 보행평가의 타당도 (Validation of the Korean Functional Gait Assessment in Patients With Stroke)

  • Background: The Functional Gait Assessment (FGA) was developed to measure of gait-related activities. The FGA was translated in Korean but only a few psychometric characteristics had been studied. Objects: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the validity and reliability of the Korean version of FGA scale using Rasch analysis. Methods: The study included 120 patients with stroke (age range=30~83 years; mean${\pm}$standard deviation=$58.3{\pm}11.1$). The FGA and Berg Balance Scale were performed, and were analysed for dimensionality of the scale, item difficulty, scale reliability and separation, and item-person map using Rasch analysis. Results: The 4 rating scale categories of FGA were satisfied with optimal rating scale criteria. The most items of the FGA showed sound item psychometric properties except 2 items ('gait with the horizontal head turns', and 'gait with narrow base of support'), and the 2 misfit items were excluded for all further analyses. The 8 items were arranged in order of difficulty. The most difficult item was 'gait with eyes closed', the middle difficult item was 'gait level surface', and the easiest item was 'gait with vertical head turns.' A person separation reliability was .93 and the person separation index was 3.57. Conclusion: This study suggests that the 8-item Korean FGA are valid measure of assess the gait-related balance performance, and to set the goal of rehabilitation plan in patient with stroke.

풍력터빈 기어박스의 베어링 수명 계산에 관한 연구 (Study on Bearing Life Calculation for Wind Turbine Gearbox)

  • Currently, wind power has become a major research field in the area of sustainable development. As one important component of a wind turbine transmission system, most instances of downtime due to a gearbox failure are caused by bearing failures. Gearboxes for wind turbines must have the highest levels of reliability over a period of approximately 20 years, withstanding high dynamic loads. At the same time, a lightweight design and cost minimization efforts are required. These demands can only be met with a well-thought-out design, high-quality materials, a high production quality and proper maintenance. In order to design a reliable and lightweight gearbox, it is necessary to analyze methods pertaining to the bearing rating lifetimes of the standard and of different companies, also including calculation methods for modification factors. This can determine the influence of the bearing lifetime.

  • The objective of this work is to study the restraining effect in fire resistance of framed structures and to evaluate the global response of reinforced concrete frames when exposed to fire based on advanced finite element method. To study the response a single portal frame is analyzed. The effect of floor slab on this frame is studied by modeling a beam-column-slab assembly. The evolution of temperature distribution, internal stresses and deformations of the frame subjected to ISO 834 standard fire curve for both the frames are studied. The thermal and structural responses are evaluated and a comparison of results of individual members and entire structure is done. From the study it can be seen that restraining forces has significant influence on both stresses and deflection and overall response of the structure when compared to individual structural member. Among the various structural elements, columns are the critical members in fire and failure of column causes the failure of entire structure. The fire rating of various structural elements of the frame is determined by various failure criteria and is compared with IS456 2000 tabulated fire rating.

공동주택 급배수 설비소음의 주관반응에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Subjective Response for Water Supply and Drain Installations in Apartment Bathroom)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the appropriate evaluation method for the water supply and drain noise of bathroom in apartment and to propose some fundamental idea on its regulation. For this reason, it was studied the acoustical characteristics of water supply and drain noise as modifying the water supply pressure for the washbasins and toilet stools and suggested the optimum evaluation method through psychoacoustic test. As a result of investigation of the levels by evaluating the adjectives and noise sources with 7-step criteria corresponding to each level of plumbing noises and analysis of the correlation between physical evaluation values by comparing the criteria, dB(A), N, and NC, with subject's response, determination coefficient($R^2$) was shown to be relatively fair or higher ranged from 0.65 to 0.92. It is shown that 'Harsh', 'Nervous', 'Unpleasant', 'Distasteful', and 'Repellent' as a second factor are to be appropriate to evaluate plumbing noise. Above these results could be used in basic data establishing KS(Korean Standard) for evaluation and rating procedure and measures reducing these noise.

  • 신용평가모형의 판별력에 대한 검정방법으로 콜모고로프-스미르노프, 평균차이, AUROC, AR등과 같은 통계량이 널리 사용되고 있다. 이러한 통계량들의 판단기준은 정규분포 가정 하에서 평균차이를 기준으로 설정되었다. 본 연구에서는 모의 실험을 통해서 표본크기, 불량률 그리고 제II종 오류율을 고려하는 대안적인 판단기준을 제 안하고 현재 적용되고 있는 판단기준과 비교해본다. 또한 판별력 정도에 따른 각 통계량들의 의미를 10단계로 정의하고 모의 실험 결과와 현재 적용되고 있는 판단기준을 비교해 본다.

영유아 기본생활습관 부모 평정척도 개발 연구 (The Development of a Basic Life Habit Parents Rating Scale for Infant Early Childhood)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a basic life habit scale for infant early childhood. The participants of this study were composed of 1,000 parents of children aged from two to five years old in the Seoul, Gyeong-gi, and In-cheon areas. For the purposes of data analysis, the study made use of the following methods : descriptive statistics for SES variables, item-analysis, factor analysis for validity, and Cronbach's a for reliability. Most items were acceptable in terms of item response rates, and item discrimination. The results of factor analysis uncovered six factors, and 46 items were selected from a total of 69 items in the original scale. The six factors were (1) safety and rules (2) neatness (3) manners (4) self-help (5) eating habits (6) cleanliness. Power Cable Ampacity and Influential Factors Analysis under Operation

  • With the increasing of urban electricity demand, making the most use of the power cable carrying capacity has become an important task in power grid system. Contrary to the rated ampacity obtained under extremely conservative conditions, this paper presents the various steady value of cable ampacity by using the changing surrounding parameters under operation, which is based on cable ampacity calculation equation under the IEC-60287 standard. To some degree, the cable ampacity analysis of actual surroundings improves the transmission capacity of cables. This paper reveals the factors that influence cable ampacity such as insulating layer thickness, allowable long-term conductor temperature, the ambient temperature, soil thermal resistance coefficient, and so on, then gives the class of the influence of these parameters on the ampacity, which plays a great role in accurately calculating the real-time ampacity and improving the utilization rate of cable in the complex external environment condition. Furthermore, the transient thermal rating of the cable is analyzed in this paper, and temperature variation of the conductor under different overload conditions is discussed, which provides effective information for the operation and control of the system.

통계처리를 활용한 터널 내공변위의 분석에 관한 연구 (Estimation of Tunnel Convergence Using Statistical Analysis)

  • 백악기 경상계 안산암과 불국사 화강암류가 주로 분포하는 지반에서 시공된 터널의 내공변위 계측자료를 분석하였다. 터널 주변 암반을 RMR법에 의한 다섯 가지 암반등급으로 구분하고 각 등급에 포함된 계측자료들을 통계처리하여 암반등급별 내공변위의 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과. 로그함수보다는 지수함수의 상관계수 가 더 크며, 연약한 암반등급일수록 내공변위의 크기와 표준편차가 크게 나타났다. 또한, 최종내공변위에 대한 최대변위속도 및 초기내공변위의 관계를 도출하였으며, 이 중에서 최종내공변위와 최대변위속도의 상관계수는 0.87로 나타나 이들은 비교적 높은 상관성을 가지는 것으로 확인되었다

  • The present management of the domestic and international advanced enterprises is transferring the systems and the regulations to the prevention system management. Expecially, KOSHA (Korea Occupational Safety & Health Agency) in Korea has supported to set up the OSHMS (Occupational Safety & Health Management System) by KOSHA 18001 since 1997. But small & medium enterprises (SMS) has many difficulties to set up the OSHMS system because of limited natural and human resources. In this study, the rating system as a judgment method of an OSHMS based on the certification standard of the OSHMS, which was suggested in previous study, was developed for SMS to adopt voluntarily the OSHMS, certify KOSHA 18001, and improve the safety and health level.
