초.중.고등학교 시설의 급수 사용량에 대한 연구 (A Study on Typical Rates of Water-use for Primary School, Middle School and High School Facilities)

  • A Study on Typical Rates of Water-use for School Facilities has been carried out in this work. Water supply system is given much weight in school facilities. Therefore, it set up a basis efficiency using of water sources to calculate typical rates of water use. The results are summarized as follows; 1) On the whole, typical rates of water-use was founded out 15 L/stu. d in pirmary school, 10 L/stu. d in middle school and 30 L/stu. d in high school smaller than the existing it. It was rate of water-use change as season and Max. Rates of water-use was July. 2) I deem that school hours are 5 hour's in primary school, 7 hour's in middle school and 8 hour's in high school. It the concept of 1 hour that is lesson time 40 minutes and resting time 10 minutes in primary school, lesson time 45 minutes and resting time 10 minutes in middle school and lesson time 50 minutes and resting time 10 minutes in high school. 3) It is desired that we calculate the volume of pump and water tank throughout this concept and the size of water tank should be 1.5 times with taking peak load into consideration by this study on typical rate of water-use. 4) The amount of using water increases in gradually and I consider the life cycle of facilities is more than 10 years. As a result, I can forecast that the size will be insufficiency but I deem that if we devise a plan about parallel pumping on water tank space, we can cope with it. Also, it is expected that we can cut back the transport energy by controlling pump volume.

다수 거래비율하에서의 SO2 배출권 거래 : 미국 사례 (SO2 Emission Permits Tradable under Exchange Rates : U.S. Case)

  • 본 연구에서는 다수의 교환비율을 가진 이산화황 배출허가권을 거래하기 위한 계획을 평가하였다. 이러한 비율들은 가상의 사회비용 최소화 과정 속에서 배출권자들의 한계 환경규제준수 비용에 기초하여 정해진다. 이러한 계획은 일대일 방식의 배출권거래로 알려진 현존하는 미국 환경국의 거래프로그램과 대조되어 고찰되었으며 두 정책들 모두 동일한 배출총량을 발생시키는 것으로 모형화하였다. 이산화황의 집중도와 건강피해 정도에 더하여 두 정책들 사이에서의 소비자와 생산자 잉여를 알아보기 위해 미국 환경산업에서의 부분균형을 수량화한 모형이 사용되었다. 그 결과 지역오염 수준은 두 정책에 따라 상당히 크게 변화되는 것으로 발견되었다. 다양화된 교환비율들의 구조는 단일비율하에서의 배출권거래보다 산업이익 측면에서는 22억 달러, 그리고 건강피해규모에서는 21억 달러만큼 능가하는 것으로 평가되었으나 소비자 잉여를 67억 달러만큼 감소시키는 것으로 추정되었다. 따라서 기대와는 달리 교환비율들은 25억 달러만큼 총후생을 감소시키는 것으로 추정되었다. 이러한 결과는 실증적인 문제일 수도 있지만 근본적으로는 메커니즘 디자인의 설정에 기인한다.

분할방법 및 투명대 부착 여부가 분할 초기배의 체외발생에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (Studies on the Effects of Bisection Method and With and Without-Zona Pellucida of Bovine Embryos on In Vitro Developmental Rates)

  • The studies were carried out to investigate the effects of bisection method and with and without-zona pellucida of embryos on in vitro developmental rate bisected embryos by micromanipulator, micropipette and pipetting. The ovaries were obtained from slaughtered Korean native cows. The follicular oocytes were cultured in TCM-199 mediurn containing 10 IU /ml의 PMSG(Sigma, USA), 10 IU /ml의 hCG, 1$\mu$g /ml의 $\beta$-estradiol(Sigma, USA) and 10% FCS for 24~48 hrs in incubator with 5% $CO_2$ in air at 38.5$^{\circ}C$ and then, matured oocytes were again cultured for 12~ 18 hrs with motile capacitated sperm by preincubation of heparin. Bisected embryos cultured for 1~5 days in 20% FCS + TCM-199 medium. Survival rate was defined as developmental rate on in vitro culture or FDA-test. The results are summarized as follows :1. The survival rates of bisected bovine embryos by micromanipulator and micropipett were 29.2% and 19.1%, respectively. The rates of non-bisection embryos(46.7%) were significantly higher than those of bisection embryos. 2. The in vitro developmental rates of bisected bovine embryos by micromanipulator, micropipett and pipetting method were 32.4%, 19.4% and 25.6%, respectively.3. The in vitro developmental rates of with and without-zona pellucida of bisected bovine embryos by raicromanipulator were 30.8% and 25.0%, respectively. The rates of nonbisection embryos(53.1%) were significantly higher than those of bisection embryos.

마산.창원 하수종말처리장 증설에 따른 근역희석률변화 예측 (Prediction of Near-Field Dilution Changes Due to Treatment Capacity Expansion of Masan-Changwon Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant)

  • 수중다공확산관을 통해 1차 처리수를 마산만에 방류하고 있는 마산·창원 하수종말처리장의 증설계획에 따른 하수방류량의 증가시 현재의 해양방류시설을 그대로 사용하였을 경우 방류하수의 희석률 변화를 예측하였다 하수처리시설 증설후 방류량의 증가에 따라 희석률은 큰 폭으로 감소하였다 이에 대한 개선방안 도출을 위해 현 위치에서 확산관의 배치와 길이를 변경해서 희석률의 개선효과를 CORMIX 모형을 사용하여 조사하였다. 확산관의 길이가 연장되고 확산관축을 해류방향에 대해 평행보다는 직각이 되게 배치했을 경우 희석률은 다소 증가하였으나 소조기의 약한 해류에서는 희석률의 변화가 거의 없어 현위치에서의 한계성을 보였다 하수처리장의 2단계와 3단계의 증설에 대비한 새로운 방류위치선정과 확산관의 최적배치로 희석률을 크게 높일수 있는 대안을 모형 모의 결과로부터 제시하였다.

생쥐 분할배의 동결보호물질 개발 (Development of Antifreezing Agent for Bisected Embryo in Mouse)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effects of cryoprotective agents and thawing temperature on the survival rate of the bisected embryos of mouse. The results of this study were summairzed as follows: 1. In in vitro culture after frozen with DMSO, glycerol, ethylene glycol or propanediol and thawed, the rates of normally developed bisected morula which was denuded were 31.7, 39.1, 28.0 and 23.1%, respectively. 2. The survival rates of bisected morula encased into the zona pellucida in in vitro culture after frozen with DMSO, glycerol, ethylene glycol or propanediol and thawed were 72.4, 68.7, 64.0 and 59.5%, respectively. 3. The survival rates of bisected denuded blastura in in vitro culture after frozen with DMSO, glycerol, ethylene glycol or propanediol and thawed were 48.3, 44.8, 32.1 and 28.6%, respectively. 4. The survival rates of bisected blasturae encased into the zona pellucida in in vitro culture after frozen with DMSO, glycerol, ethylene glycol or propanediol and thawed were 73.6, 67.4, 53.0 and 49.1%, respectively. 5. In in vitro culture after frozen with DMSO, glycerol, ethylene glycol or propanediol and thawed at room temperature, the rates of the normally developed bisected morula which was encased into the zona pellucida were 67.1, 62.3, 57.7 and 53.0%, respectively, and those of the bisected blasturae encased into the zona pellucida were 70.8, 65.4, 56.6 and 52.1%, respectively. 6. The survival rates of bisected morula which was encased into the zona pellucida in in vitro culture after forzen with DMSO, glycerol, ethylene glycerol or propanediol and thawed at 37$^{\circ}C$ were 74.3, 71.3, 63.9 and 57.4%, respectively, and those of bisected blastura encased into zona pellucida were 76.0, 69.1, 61.1 and 56.1%, respectively.

  • The study was carried out to investigate the effects of morphology, reproductive cycle, incubation time and activation of oocytes on in vitro maturation of cat oocytes and development of IVM/IVF embryos. The results were summarized as follows: 1. When recovered from ovaries collected at different stages of the reproductive cycle (inactive, follicular and luteal stage), the developmental rates of oocytes to GV and MI stage were 72.5% and 27.5%, 57.5% and 7.5%, 62.5% and 17.5%, respectively. 2. The developmental rates of oocytes with cumulus cells to GV and MI stage in different conditions of incubation (5% $CO_2$ , 95% $O_2$ and 10% $CO_2$, 90% $O_2$) were 70.0% and 27.5%, 52.5% and 20.0%, 55.0% and 12.5%, respectively. 3. The developmental rates to GV and MI oocytes when cultured at different time of incubation (17∼20, 21∼24, 25∼28 and 29∼32 h) were 67.5% and 20.0%, 67.5% and 30.0%, 62.5% and 22.5%, 65.0% and 15.0%, respectively. 4. The fertilization and cleavage rates of freshly collected oocytes with and without cumulus cells were 72.5% and 25.0%, 37.5% and 7.5%, respectively. The rates were greater in oocytes with cumulus cells than those without cumulus cells. 5. The fertilization and cleavage rates of oocytes recovered from ovaries collected at different stages of the reproductive cycle (inactive, follicular and luteal stage) were 75.0% and 25.0%, 40.0% and 7.5%, 50.0% and 15.0%, respectively.

난구세포, Glucose, SOD 첨가가 소 수정란의 체외발생에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (Effects of Cumulus Cells, Gulcose and SOD Levels During the In Vitro Culture in Medium on In Vitro Developmental Rates of Bovine Oocytes)

  • The study was conducted to determine the optimal cumulus cells, glucose and superoxide dimutase(SOD) levels during the in vitro culture of bovine oocytes matured and fertilized in vitro for morulae and blastocyst development. Oocytes were cultured for 0~8 days in TCM-199 medium supplemented with 20% FCS, cumulus cells and with different glucose and SOD levels. The results are summarized as follows; 1. The in vitro developmental rates of bovine oocytes cultured in TCM-199 medium containing cumulus cells and 0.1, 0.5, 1.0, 5.0mM glucose levels 0~3 and 0~8 days after insemination were 21.1, 25.0, 23.3, 17.9 and 26.3, 25.7, 23.1, 19.4% respectively and there was significant differences on the development to the molurae and blastocysts stage among the cumulus cells and glucose levels. 2. The in vitro developmental rates of bovine oocytes cultured in TCM-199 medium containing 0.1, 0.5, 1.0, 5.0mM glucose levels 0~3 and 0~8 days after insemination were 11.3~24.5% and 17.3~25.0%, respectively. 3. The in vitro developmental rates bovine oocytes cultured in TCM-199 medium containing 100, 200, 300, 500 $\mu\textrm{g}$/ml SOD levels 0~3 and 0~8 days after insemination were 12.5~22.9% and 12.9~22.2%, respectively. Hight levels of SOD(500$\mu\textrm{g}$/ml) significantly reduced the rates ofmolurae and blastocysts stage(P<0.05).

천연가스 유량변화에 따른 터보팽창기 감압시스템 운전 최적화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Operational Optimization of Turbo-Expander Pressure Reduction System to the Natural Gas Flow Rates)

  • 천연가스 감압기지에 터보팽창기 감압시스템을 도입하여 천연가스의 감압과정에서 전기에너지를 생산할 수 있다. 터보팽창기의 효율은 천연가스의 유량과 터보팽창기 설계유량의 비에 따라 달라진다. 따라서 터보팽창기로 들어가는 유량을 조절함으로써 감압시스템을 운전하기 위한 최적조건을 결정할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 두 곳의 저압 정압기지에서 천연가스의 압력이 17.5 bar에서 8.5 bar로 감압될 때 천연가스의 유량에 따라 생산 가능한 전력을 계산하고 계산결과의 비교를 통해 터보팽창기 감압시스템이 최적으로 운전되기 위한 조건을 찾았다. 천연가스의 평균 유량이 크고 유량의 변화가 작을 때 터보팽창기가 효율적으로 운전되었고 터보팽창기의 설계유량은 천연가스의 유량을 가장 많이 포함하는 용량에서 결정되었다. 선정된 두 정압기지에서 회수 가능한 전력생산량은 9 MW(B 기지), 12 MW(D 기지)로 추산되었다.

Seroprevalence of selected porcine respiratory pathogens in the pig herds in Chungcheong and Gyeongsang provinces in Korea

  • We studied the seroprevalence of four respiratory pathogens in Korean swine farms located in Chungnam, Chungbuk, Gyeongnam and Gyeongbuk provinces during the period of spring of 2007 to winter of 2008. Serological tests were performed using commercial ELISA kits. A total of 530 serum samples were tested for the antibodies against porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV), porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2), Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae (M. hyo) and Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae (APP). Seroprevalence for four respiratory pathogens were estimated by ELISA-positive rates of the submitted samples. The overall seropositive rates of PRRSV, APP, M. hyo and PCV2 were 32.6%, 10.6%, 38.4% and 88.5%, respectively. By production stage, the seropositive rate for PRRSV was highest in nursery pig populations (46.2%). In contrast, the highest seropositive rates of APP and M. hyo were observed in sow and growing pigs. However, the seroprevalence of PCV2 was ranged from 85.7% to 89.6%, showing no significant difference among the production stages. In the seroprevalence by season, PRRSV, APP and M. hyo infections revealed typical seasonal patterns that the peaks of the seropositive rates were observed between early winter and late spring. In case of PCV2, no particular seasonal patterns were noticed. The pig herds in Gyeongbuk province where PMWS was endemic during the period of survey showed the highest seropositive rates for PRRSV (44.6%), M. hyo (47.5%), and PCV2 (92.7%). Seropositive rates for APP of four provinces were approximately 10%. These results might be valuable for control and prevention of the respiratory diseases and helpful to define strategies related to vaccine applications.

Growth and ingestion rates of heterotrophic dinoflagellates and a ciliate on the mixotrophic dinoflagellate Biecheleria cincta

  • To explore the interactions between the mixotrophic dinoflagellate Biecheleria cincta (previously Woloszynskia cincta) and heterotrophic protists, we investigated whether the common heterotrophic dinoflagellates Gyrodinium dominans, Gyrodinium moestrupii, Gyrodinium spirale, Oxyrrhis marina, and Polykrikos kofoidii, and the ciliate Strobilidium sp. were able to feed on B. cincta. We also measured growth and ingestion rates of O. marina and Strobilidium sp. on B. cincta as a function of prey concentration. In addition, these rates were measured for other predators at single prey concentrations at which the growth and ingestion rates of O. marina and Strobilidium sp. were saturated. All grazers tested in the present study were able to feed on B. cincta. B. cincta clearly supported positive growth of O. marina, G. dominans, and Strobilidium sp., but it did not support that of G. moestrupii, G. spirale, and P. kofoidii. The maximum growth rates of Strobilidium sp. and O. marina on B. cincta (0.91 and 0.49 $d^{-1}$, respectively) were much higher than that of G. dominans (0.07 $d^{-1}$). With increasing the mean prey concentration, the specific growth rates of O. marina and Strobilidium sp. on B. cincta increased, but either became saturated or slowly increased. The maximum ingestion rate of Strobilidium sp. (1.60 ng C $predator^{-1}\;d^{-1}$) was much higher than that of P. kofoidii and O. marina (0.55 and 0.34 ng C $predator^{-1}\;d^{-1}$) on B. cincta. The results of the present study suggest that O. marina and Strobilidium sp. are effective protistan grazers of B. cincta.
