  • Wireless devices can communicate between each other without existing infrastructure in mobile Ad-hod network. Ad hoc networks can be used under difficult conditions, where it is difficult to construct infrastructures, such as shadowing areas, disaster areas, war area, and so on. In order to support to considerable and various wireless services, more spectrum resources are needed. However, efficient utilization of the frequency resource is difficult because of spectrum scarcity and the conventional frequency regulation. Ad-hoc networks employing cognitive radio (CR) system that guarantee high spectrum utilization provide effective way to increase the network capacity. In this paper, we simulate and compare the performance of conventional single and cooperative spectrum sensing with CR system using ad-hoc networks in additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) and Rayleigh channel model. And we demonstrate performance improvement by analyzing the system performance.

  • We have analyzed the frequency sharing in the range of 71-275 GHz, which was adopted as a main topic of the WARC-2000 at the previous conference WARC-97. Though the technology of the active services has not been fully developed in this frequncy range, the heavy usage of this technology is expected in foreseeable future. To protect the passive services from spurious and out-of-band emissions of active services, realignment of the spectrum between 71 GHz and 275 GHz is strongly required. In addition, some effort should be made to allocate special bands for the radio astronomy service.

  • In this paper, we provide efficient spectrum sensing technology for smooth use of frequency and energy charge of multi-copter. The proposed structures focus on improving performance of spectrum sensing that is based on Ad-hoc network. First, we explain basic principles and disadvantages of cooperative spectrum sensing and ad-hoc based spectrum sensing. To solve these problems, in this paper, we employ the beamforming technology that guarantees higher transmit primary users' signal power to secondary users in ad-hoc network. The performance of proposed algorithm is analyzed in terms of detection probabilities, and the results of this paper can be applied to the various ad-hoc based Cognitive Radio system.

  • In this paper, new spectrum sensing schemes based on analog/RF front-end processing are introduced for IoT wireless sensor networks. While the conventional approaches for wireless channel cognition have been issued in signal processing area, the RF spectrum cognition concept makes it feasible to achieve cognitive wireless sensor networks (C-WSNs). The spectrum cognition at RF processing is categorized as four kinds of sensing mechanisms. Two recent reseaches are described as promising candidates for the C-WSN. One senses spectrum by the frequency discriminating receiver, the other senses and detects from the frequency selective super-regenerative receiver. The introduced systems with simple and low-power RF architectures play dual roles of channel sensing and demodulation. simultaneously. Therefore, introduced spectrum sensing receivers can be one of the best candidates for IoT wireless sensor devices in C-WSN environments.

  • Frequency occupancy data can provide information on both the actual ratio of usage of individual frequency channels and the average ratio of usage of these frequency bands so that the reserved capacity of the spectrum can be estimated. Such an estimate can be used for the planning of additional spectrum allocations and as a means of assessing the impact of new technologies on spectrum usage. In this paper, we introduce about the frequency occu- pancy measurement system that is developed in Korea. And, we introduce Frequency Occupancy Ratio with a time period and with a area zone by using radio monitoing measurement datas.

  • In this paper, we analyze and simulate the performance of a pilot signal detection algorithm based on fast Fourier transform (FFT) for several system parameters in order to detect advanced television system committee digital television (ATSC DTV) signals. Requirements for detecting DTV signals are analyzed. And the detection performance is compared according to sensing frequency and time. Form the simulation results, it is confirmed that the signal detection performance increases as the sensing frequency rises. The results of this paper can be applied for implementing cognitive radio (CR) systems in the frequency band of DTV signals.

  • The right to the spectrum frequency and orbit is required for the broadcasting by satellite, whether the broadcaster might be given any license or authorization for the broadcasting. The reason is that the ITU Convention and Radio Regulation provide very specific and detailed rules regarding the utilization of the frequency spectrum and orbit. Outstanding issue arises as to the implementation process of the rules of international character. Domestic implementation of the Radio Regulation, in the way of letter to letter should be discouraged when the competitiveness of domestic industry vis-a-vis foreign competitor is taken into account.

  • In this paper, we discuss the transmit power of user in Cognitive Radio environment. Transmit power of user should be operated in order not to give a bad effect to PU(Primary user) and this power can be considered as SINR(Signal to Interference and Noise Ratio) measured in PU. Exact spectrum sensing is required to see which is the vacant frequency. And this spectrum sensing should be operated repeatedly within certain time because the vacant frequency is time-varying. In this paper, we reduce the existing defect by using orthogonal parameter and show the sensing operation is possible if SINR of PU can be guaranteed.
