  • In this paper, we analysed the standardized techniques for radio frequency identification systems. RFID system is to carry data in suitable transponders, generally known as tags, and to retrieve data, by machinable means, at a suitable time and place to satisfy particular application needs. The paper has discussed on international standardization trends and its techniques and provided with understanding the technical regulations for activating and harmonizing internationally domestic RFID industries.

  • It is needed to develop on-line real time management and RFID-PPS(Radio Frequency Identification-Pallet Pool System) by putting information technology. Additionally, it is possible to figure out the flow of all the materials loaded on the RFID pallet; product, material, raw material immediately, so that epoch-making management is possible and it contributes to the reduction of logistics cost because there are little loss or outflow of pallet. The materials flow is getting speedy and inventory is decreasing in the logistics process, and also bad inventory and loss problems are prevented. As a result, not only logistics cost of company but also national logistics cost is decreased. Thus it contributes to the strength of national competitiveness.

  • In this paper, we have designed an active radio frequency identification system solving the problems of moving transponder which is identification range expanding and low battery consuming of transponder. Developed radio frequency identification system is a bidirectional data transmission system which is composed of decoder data transmission of 120 kHz and transponder data carrier of 60 kHz which is a subharmonic frequency response with ASK modulation. The experimental results, designed system operating at 9600 bps, show good performances with detecting the 40 km/h moving transponder up to the range of 2 and 15 ${mu}A$ low consuming current.

  • We evaluated certain issues related to magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) coupled with the use of active 2.5 GHz radio frequency identification (RFID) tags for patient identification using low field (0.3 T) MRI and computed tomography (CT) scans. We also investigated the performance of the RFID reader located outside the MRI room by considering several factors. A total of ten active RFID tags were exposed to several MRI sequences and X-rays of CT scan. We found that only card type active RFID tags are suitable for patient identification purpose in MRI environment and both wristbands as well as card tags were suitable for the same in CT environment. Severe artifacts were found in the captured MRI and CT images when the area of the imaging was in proximity to the tags. No external factors affected the performance of active RFID reader stationed outside the MRI scan room.

  • In this paper, we propose a mobile Radio Frequency Identification antenna for mobile hand set. The proposed antenna with directive radiation characteristics based on combination of electric-magnetic radiators can be installed in the mobile hand-set. The combination of PIFA antenna for electric radiator and loop antenna for magnetic radiator is presented and designed for료 m-RFID reader system. Target frequency band is 900-MHz band. and desired gain is 4dBi. The antenna is simulated using Ansoft HFSS software and shows expected results. The antenna is also manufactured using FR4-epoxy circuit board (h=1 mm, $\varepsilon_{\tau}=4.4$). There are good agreements between the simulated and measured VSWR curves and radiation characteristics.

  • RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) is one of key technologies in ubiquitous computing. RFID system comprises tag, reader, and computer application. The tag is a small electronic chip, which is attached to a thing such as item, pallet, container. The reader has an tiny antenna obtaining the identification information of the things by radio frequency, and provides the information to the computer application for a business. In this paper we have proposed the military application of RFID and its implementation policy for the Korean armed forces. We believe that The principle application area would be logistics TAV(total asset visibility) and resource management, and the implementation should be achieved step by step considering the advancement of RFID technology and government policy.

  • The excitement over radio frequency identification (RFID) technology has gained momentum in the last five years, with a diversification in the range of applications. Besides academic research into radio frequency identification (RFID) has proliferated over the last few years, however there is much to be desired on Packaging industry. In this paper, we present a literature reviews of researches of RFID system on Packaging, especially focused on RFID system standardization into packaging. There is not any packaging standard or guidance about tag locations, classification with the materials and so on. Therefore it hampers reduction of the distribution costs on political and corporate sides, and lack consistency of applying RFID system. The main focus of this review paper is to establish a constituency about legislating RFID system standard on packaging. It is hoped that the review will be a good resource for future research in order to applly RFID system to Packaging industry effectively.

  • Radio frequency identification(RFID) combined with wireless technology has good potential for structural health monitoring(SHM). We describe several advantages of RFID and wireless technologies for SHM, and review SHM examples with working principles, design and technical details for damage detection, heat exposure monitoring, force/strain sensing, and corrosion detection in concrete, steel, carbon fiber reinforced polymer(CFRP), and other materials. Various sensors combined with wireless communication are also discussed. These methodologies can be readily developed, implemented, and customized. There are some technical difficulties, but solutions are being addressed. Lastly, a surface acoustic wave-based RFID system is presented, and possible future trends of SHM based on RFID and wireless technology are presented.
