Impact of Consumer Ethnocentrism on Reasoned Action and Brand Equity: Empirical Evidence from Local Fashion Brands in Vietnam

  • Purpose: The is study aimed to examine the impact of consumer ethnocentrism on reasoned action and brand equity on Generation Z in Vietnam. Research design, data and methodology: A quantitative study was undertaken on 302 Generation Z members. The data for the study was collected using a Google Form-based questionnaire from December 2021 to January 2022. Descriptive statistics, Cronbach's alpha, and structural equation modeling were among the data analysis techniques employed. The results: The results show that consumer ethnocentrism has a direct positive impact on reasoned action (subjective norms and attitude toward domestic goods) as well as an indirect positive impact on brand equity, including brand awareness, brand quality, and brand image. Major findings: According to the findings of this study, governments should continue to push propaganda and advocacy programs, call for national pride and encourage home consumers to support and use domestic goods. Domestic brands must strengthen their ties to the community and invest in community-oriented programs that promote domestic consumption. Vietnam's domestic fashion brands need to promote the exploitation of community-oriented and nationalistic content to call on domestic consumers to support them to consume domestic brands.

  • Amaranth is a nutritious and broadly adapted seed crop in high demand around the world. A preliminary approach for understanding the genetics of amaranth resources entails a morphologic characterization, which can provide the basis for breeding the first variety in Korea, leading to satisfying the needs of farmers and consumers. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the phenotypic characteristics of ten genetic amaranth accessions for the selection of outstanding accessions in terms of yield and grain quality. A randomized complete block design was used, with fifteen replications for each accession under field conditions. Five quantitative and three qualitative descriptors were evaluated with descriptive analysis. The results showed that the accessions with plant heights smaller than the average (>112.7 cm) presented lower yields and smaller seed sizes, thus decreasing the grain quality. The cluster analyses established groups of accessions with good yields (>30.1 g of seeds per plant) and stable morphological characteristics. Based on yield and morphological descriptors, the proposed selection index indicated four accessions as potential parents for amaranth breeding programs in Kora.

시대적변천에 따른 아파트단지의 경관적특성 및 선호도에 관한 연구 - 청주시 아파트 단지를 대상으로 - (A Periodic Change of Landscape Charicteristics and Visual Preference with Open Space of Apartment Complex -Specially Focused on Apartment Sites in Cheongju City-)

  • The open space of apartment complex has changed diversely according to construction periods which were divided into the introduction stage (the 1980s), the development stage (the 1990s), and the maturity stage (after 1999). This study set out to analyze the periodic changes of visual characteristics and preference with the open space of apartment complexes in Cheongju City. For analysis of visual characteristics and preference, nineteen adjectives that were determined to sufficiently express the feeling of the open space of apartment complex. The results are as follows. As for adjective image assessment by using descriptive statistics, favorable images were shown in complexes of maturity stage phase that were constructed after the liberalization of apartment sale in 1999. These results may be caused both by quantitative increase and diversification of materials in planting and landscaping furniture and by nature-friendly designing. The results of factor analysis by Varimax rotation method showed that common variance was 73.9%, which indicates higher explanation. The nineteen adjectives could be divided into three factors, 'pleasantness factor,' 'negative factor,' and 'irregular factor.' Visual preference was analysed by using Least significant Difference (LSD) by analysis of variance : complexes of maturity stage phase that were constructed according to the liberalization of apartment sale in 1999 were highest in assessment. The correlation between view preference and adjective images was analyzed by multiple regression analysis, and 'feeling like walking,' 'well-arranged,' 'beautiful,' 'friendly,' and 'clean' (in order) were adjective images that most affected the preference. As for the analysis of the correlation between visual preference and physical components of view, the preference increased as the rate of pavement and greens was higher, while it decreased as size of building was larger. Therefore, backgrounds of walking and greens had strong effects on the preference.

노인일자리사업 연구경향 분석 (An analysis of Trends in Senior Employment Project Research)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 노인일자리사업을 주제로 하는 학술 연구의 경향을 확인하는 것이다. 이를 위해 학술검색 엔진을 활용한 키워드 검색으로 연구 결과를 수집하여 총 133개 연구를 분석 대상으로 선정하였다. 또한 분석자료의 내용을 비교 검토하는 기술적 연구방법(descriptive study)의 내용분석(content analysis) 방법을 활용하여 각 연구의 출처, 연구 주제, 연구 방법, 연구 대상 등 연구 경향을 분석하였다. 분석결과 노인일자리사업을 연구 주제로 한 학술연구에서 사업 참여노인을 연구 대상으로 하여 사업의 효과를 확인하는 양적 연구가 지금까지 가장 주도적인 연구 유형으로 확인되었다. 반면 노인의 노동이나 사회적 역할 등을 노인일자리사업과 연결하여 이해하려는 철학적 윤리적 검토가 연구로 나타난 경우는 상대적으로 매우 적었다. 본 연구에서는 이 같은 연구 경향에 기반하여 노인일자리사업 내 다양한 참여 주체들뿐만 아니라 사업 참여 노인까지도 연구의 주된 관심사에서 제외된 상황을 비판하고 후속 연구에서는 이 같은 경향에서 탈피할 필요가 있음을 제안하였다.

한국의 동남권 대학의 학내 교육자원이 대학의 취업성과에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of the Educational Resources on Recruitment Rates of the Universities in South-Eastern Korea)

  • 본 연구는 대학기본역량평가 등 대학 혁신과 생존경쟁이 본격적으로 시작되는 시점에서 지역사회에 필요한 인재양성과 취업이라는 산학의 지속가능한 상생발전을 위해 대학이 산학실용이라는 측면에서 궁극적으로 추구하는 취업성과와 관련해서 학내 교육자원이 실질적으로 대학의 취업성과에 미치는 영향을 분석하고자 한다. 이를 통해 대학 내 정량적 지표인 대학자원을 기반으로 하는 대학별 지표를 통해 취업률에 영향을 미치는 요인을 발견 하고자 하는 것이다. 연구방법으로는 대학알리미 공시지표에서 사용하는 교육여건 항목, 교육재정 항목, 연구성과 항목 등 3가지 항목을 기준으로 각 세부지표들을 독립변수로 사용하여 종속변수인 취업률과의 연관성을 찾기 위해 가설 설정 및 검증, 실증분석, 기술통계분석, 상관관계분석들을 접목하였으며 다중회귀분석 결과, 교육여건과 취업률, 교유재정과 취업률, 연구성과와 취업률 측면에서 의미 있는 결과와 시사점을 도출할 수가 있었다. 이를 기반으로 지역별 특성을 반영한 실증분석이 축적된다면 지역중심 대학의 취업률 추이를 예상해 나가는 방향으로 연구를 확대해 나갈 수 있을 것으로 본다.

농촌지도인력의 전문역량 향상 방안 (Capacity Building Strategy of Extension Professionals in Korea)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify professional development needs of Extension professionals and to evaluate competencies essential to be a successful Extension professional. For the purpose of this study, quantitative capacity data of extension professionals were collected from the survey instrument based on Extension Professional Evaluation Scale in Utah state university. Descriptive statistics, mean difference analysis, IPA(importance-performance analysis) analysis were used to analyze the data. The main results of the study are as follows. First, it is necessary to first reinforce education on specialized technical capacity among the three extension capacity areas. The current status of the professional capacity of extension professionals in the three areas was found to be at the average level, and the level of professional technical capacity was relatively low. In addition, the importance was evaluated that professional technology capacity is more important than the project development/evaluation capacity and communication capacity. Second, Second, in order to reinforce communication capacity, it is necessary to strengthen education on 'development of joint educational materials with colleagues'. Third, in order to reinforce project development/evaluation capacity, it is necessary to strengthen education on 'project planning'. In the IPA analysis results, the importance was high, but the capacity with relatively low performance were analyzed as 'project planning'. Fourth, in order to reinforce professional technical capacity, it is necessary to develop an education program for 'crop expertise' first. In the IPA analysis results, the importance was high, but the competencies with relatively low performance were analyzed as 'crop technology expertise'.

비가열 살균 후추의 향미특성 (Flavor and taste characteristic of black pepper by different nonthermal sterilization methods)

  • 본 연구는 소비자들의 식품안전과 위생에 대한 요구가 강해짐에 따라 식중독의 위험에 노출되어 있는 분말식품 중 전세계적으로 널리 사용되는 향신료 중 하나인 후춧가루의 비가열 살균 처리 방법에 따른 향미특성 변화를 비교 분석하였다. 색도 측정 결과 색도차(ΔE)는 저온 플라즈마와 자외선 살균처리 후에도 육안에 의한 인식 한계인 1.5 내외로 유지되었고, 광펄스 처리 후에는 6.58로 큰 차이를 보였다. Piperine 함량 정량 결과는 살균 전 후추가 10.7±0.53 mg/g로 가장 많았으며 자외선 살균처리(9.5±0.35 mg/g), 저온 플라즈마 살균처리(9.0±0.15 mg/g), 광펄스 살균처리(4.4±0.17 mg/g) 순으로 광펄스 58.9%, 저온 플라즈마 15.9%, 자외선 11.2%의 감소율을 보였다. 전자코 분석 결과 살균 처리 전후가 제 1주성분에 의해 두 그룹으로 구분되어 명확하게 향의 차이가 나타났으며, 제 1주성분과 제 2주성분에 의해서는 세 개의 그룹으로 나뉘었다. 강도평가 결과 살균처리 전, 광펄스, 저온 플라즈마, 자외선 살균처리 후 순으로 후추 향과 맛이 강하다고 응답했으며, 광펄스와 저온 플라즈마 살균처리 후의 후추는 유의적인 차이를 보이지 않았다. 강도평가 결과와 piperine 함량 정량과는 차이가 있었으며, 전자코 분석 결과와는 유사했다. 정량적 묘사분석(QDA)를 통해 13개의 관능적 언어가 개발되었다. 살균처리 후의 시료가 마른 솔잎향과 떫은맛, 고소한맛을 제외한 모든 항목에서 살균처리 전의 시료보다 관능적 특성이 낮게 나타났다. 이를 통해 살균처리 방법에 따라 후추향과 맛에 영향을 끼쳤음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 piperine 함량을 통해 후추 맛의 강도를 평가하기에는 어려움이 있으며 전자코 분석을 통해서 후추향의 강도를 평가하는데 중요한 자료로 사용될 수 있다고 판단된다.

청소년의 자아존중감과 부적응행동 간 관계에서 부와 모애착의 조절효과 (Moderating Effect of wealth and love in all the relationships between self-esteem and maladaptive behaviors of youth)

  • 본 연구의 주목적은 청소년들의 부적응 행동과 자아존중감 간의 관계를 규명하고, 자아존중감과 부적응 행동 간의 관계에서 부 애착과 모 애착의 조절효과를 검증하고자 한다. 이를 위해 D지역에 소재하는 H, G 고등학교 남 여학생 313명을 대상으로 편의표집방법을 활용하여 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 최종적으로 299부를 분석에 사용하였다. 자료분석을 위해 SPSS win18.0 프로그램을 활용하여, 기술통계분석, 단순상관관계 분석을 실시한 후 본 연구의 주 목적인 상호작용모형을 알아보기 위하여 위계적 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 청소년들의 자아존중감과 부적응 행동의 관계는 부적인 방향에서 유의하게 나타났다. 둘째, 청소년들의 자아존중감과 부적응 행동 간의 관계에서 부 애착은 조절하는 효과가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 청소년들의 자아존중감과 부적응 행동 간의 관계에서 모 애착은 양적인 조절역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과의 근거로 청소년 부적응 행동을 줄이기 위한 논의를 제시하였다

맞춤 골프장갑의 구매의도에 따른 혁신기술수용모델(TAM)의 차이 (The Difference of TAM According to Purchase Intention of Customized Golf Gloves)

  • This study investigates the attitude and intention of consumers to use customized golf gloves depending on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). TAM consists of perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness. To conduct the quantitative research, we collected data from 182 consumers. SPSS 14.0 was used for statistical analysis. Descriptive statistics, factor analysis, reliability analysis, t-test and path analysis were implemented. The results of this study are as follows. First, the subjects were divided into two groups with one group higher in purchase intention. The difference between the two groups was significant. The higher purchase intention group was higher in the perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and positive attitude toward customized golf gloves than the lower purchase intention group. In the lower group, the perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness influenced the intention to use through the attitudes of consumers. On the other hand, in the higher group, the perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness influenced the intention to use directly as well as through the attitude of consumers. Therefore, a different marketing strategy must be designed according to purchase intention in marketing innovative products.

패션명품의 상표자산 구성요소에 관한 연구(제1보) (Dimensions of Brand Equity of Luxury Fashion Brands (Part I))

  • Luxury fashion brand business is one of the most successful global businesses in these days. The luxury fashion brands with strong brand power permeates through various regions of the world with high added value and buying power. This study was conducted to determine the dimensions of the luxury fashion brand equity so that the fashion marketers can develop strategies to increase their brand power. ID find out the dimensions of the luxury fashion brand equity, qualitative as well as quantitative research methods were employed. Qualitative research was conducted by interviewing 12 consumers who were loyal to the luxury fashion brands. A total of ten dimensions(uniqueness, sophistication, display, economical and utility value, overall pleasure, satisfaction, reputation, trust respect, social acceptance) were identified as a result of the literature review and the qualitative analysis, and a questionnaire was developed based on them. The questionnaire was administered to 250 subjects and the responses were analyzed by factor analysis to confirm the dimensions empirically. As a result of factor analysis, 7 dimensions of fashion luxury brand equity are 'chic and pleasure', 'trust', 'distinction', 'reputation', 'economical and utility value', 'social acceptance', and 'status'. First, 'reputation', 'economical and utility value' and 'social acceptance' are similar to the result of the literature review and the qualitative analysis. Next, 'Chic and pleasure' included 'overall pleasure','display'and'sophistication'that were identified previously. We knew that People would expect emotional responses such as display through luxury fashion brand. 'Trust' included 'trust' and 'satisfaction' that were identifed previously. 'Distinction' included 'uniqueness' and 'respect' that were identifed previously. Finally, 'status' included 'sophistication' and 'reputation' It seemed that the concept of 'sophistication' was near symbolic rather than descriptive.
