Liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry with an atmospheric pressure chemical ionization interface (LC/APCI/MS) is evaluated for the simultaneous determination of carbamate pesticides and organophosphorus pesticides in a single chromatographic analysis. APCI mass spectra of those compounds were obtrained to study their ionization characteristics. APCI provided abundant ions such as protonated molecules and characteristic fragment ions for carbamate pesticides and organophosphorus pesticides. To evaluate the feasibility of the LC/APCI/MS for a routine quantitative analysis, the linearity and repeatability of LC/APCI/MS were examined by measuring standard solution mixtures of five carbamate pesticides and four organophosphorus pesticides over the range of 1 to 100 ㎍/mL. Teh peak areas in chromatograms of characteristic ions for those compounds showed less than 3% of variation from run to run. The standard calibration curves for the nine pesticides show good linearity in the concentration range. The detection limits of the LC/APCI/MS system for those compounds range from 0.006 to 0.2 ng.

A clorimetric determination method of pyruvic acid using hydroxylamine was studied. Hydroxylamine was reacted with pyruvic acid to form complex compound in the presence of Cu(II) ion. Optimal conditions for the quantitative analysis were investigated and the structure of complex was examined spectrometrically. The molar ratio (2:1) and the stability constant ($1.88{\times}10^{4}$) of the complex were measured. It was the characteristic feature of this method that the commonly encountered interfering substances such as fructose, glucose and lactic acid do not infuence the measurement of pyruvic acid.

The calcination characteristic of waste eggshell were examined by thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), qualitative and quantitative analysis by X-ray fluorescence, and microstructural analysis by scanning electronic microscopy(SEM). The calcined sample was lager grain and pore size.

A numerical analysis on the effect of the front shape on the aerodynamic characteristics of HST model is made, using FVM based general purpose 3D Navier-Stokes eq. solver, TURBO-3D program. Numerical solutions are compared with each case of different front shape for HST model. The result shows a good quantitative aerodynamic characteristic tendencies for variation of front shape of HST. Thus it may be used as a basis in the design of the shape of real HST.

This paper reports some results of Si and SiO$_{2}$ films obtained from the expitaxial growth by hydrogen reduction of SiCI$_{4}$ with a hydrogen and carbon dioxide mixture in an epitaxial-deposition chamber. The deposited Si and SiO$_{2}$ are studied by observing the process parameters affecting the rate of deposition, and the quantitative properties at the interface of Si and SiO$_{2}$ are also considered briefly according to the results of the optical absorption and the voltage-current characteristic of MOS etc. using step etching procedure for oxide films.

This paper presents the idea of staggered voting for the efficient TMR implementation of shift register chains for improving the yield of Poly-Si TFT-LCD driving circuits. The paper discusses the characteristic features of staggered voting and performs a quantitative evaluation of its effectiveness. Staggered voting allows us to improve the reliability of a single-voter TMR chain significantly when the probability of a voter failure is not negligible.

This paper describes a Chaos analyzer and its applications to characteristic analysis of ECG signals and the other signals. We can detect chaotic system among the various system by quantitative and qualitative analysis using the proposed system. And we also propose a new Possibility to recognize abnormal state of ECG signal using the chaotic characteristcs of signal.

The closed type sprinkler head is a component of sprinkler system for fire protection. The purpose of this study is to inverstigate the influence factors of the responsiveness of the head by heated wind tunnel experiment. As the result of this study, it was found that response time index and conduction parameter showed the same characteristic quantitative changes to head types and test methods.

Let f be a transcendental meromorphic function in the complex plane $\mathbb{C}$, and a be a nonzero constant. We give a quantitative estimate of the characteristic function T(r, f) in terms of $N(r,1/(f^2(f^{\prime})^n-a))$, which states as following inequality, for positive integers $n{\geq}2$, $$T(r,f){\leq}\(3+{\frac{6}{n-1}}\)N\(r,{\frac{1}{af^2(f^{\prime})^n-1}}\)+S(r,f)$$.
