  • Software requirements written in natural language may have different meanings from the stakeholders' viewpoint. When designing an architecture based on quality attributes, it is necessary to accurately classify quality attribute requirements because the efficient design is possible only when appropriate architectural tactics for each quality attribute are selected. As a result, although many natural language processing models have been studied for the classification of requirements, which is a high-cost task, few topics improve classification performance with the imbalanced quality attribute datasets. In this study, we first show that the classification model can automatically classify the Korean requirement dataset through experiments. Based on these results, we explain that data augmentation through EDA(Easy Data Augmentation) techniques and undersampling strategies can improve the imbalance of quality attribute datasets, and show that they are effective in classifying requirements. The results improved by 5.24%p on F1-score, indicating that handling imbalanced data helps classify Korean requirements of classification models. Furthermore, detailed experiments of EDA illustrate operations that help improve classification performance.

  • Obtaining and fully understanding the true requirements of customers is hard task. However, successful use of quality function deployment(QFD) depends on capturing customers' requirements and reflecting them during the design of a product. One of common mistakes in QFD is to perform analysis using an inconsistent house of quality(HoQ) chart. This article presents a model for prioritizing customer attributes and design characteristics in order to make a product more attractive to customers. The proposed model modifies the analytic hierarchical process(AHP) with simple pairwise comparison. Our exploration using of QFD identifies how practitioners maintain consistency, whist quantifying HoQ speedily from the customer's perspectives. This paper also identifies and justifies an alternative position on QFD that is supported by statistical examples.

  • Purpose: This paper proposes a structured approach based on Quality Function Deployment (QFD) for service development in the banking industry. Methods: SERVQUAL is modified and adopted as a tool to understand customer requirements for the QFD. Fuzzy theory is used to resolve the subjectivity and ambiguity of customer requirements and satisfaction. This research also uses the importance- satisfaction model to construct an additional House of Quality (HOQ). A pair of houses of quality provides a confluence of results to avoid a risk of depending solely on the results of a single HOQ. Results: A case study is introduced with three domestic banks. Conclusion: The proposed approach effectively addresses a service development problem.

  • A comprehensive understanding of functions and performances enables a selection of appropriate alternatives to the existing design and can prevent defective design. A performance-based design quality management can ensure successful project completion. This study proposes a new model for design quality management in order to prevent defective design and to minimize design change. The new quality management model defines the requirement about function and performance based on technical characteristic, and assesses suitability for design alternatives. This study attempts to propose a quality matrix assessment method that can compare the alternative design and requirements defined with the new quality management model. This method can judge conformity and suitability of design quality in accordance with the requirements configured.

  • Crowdsourcing is growing its interests in designing where various designers work independently to a given design task. Recent researchers discovered that collaboration by sharing designs among designers helps to produce high-quality designs. However, design task may still be hard even with that collaboration in case the requirements are not well-defined. Most customers sometimes do not know what they really want and do not know how to clearly define the requirements. Consequently, the lack of requirements creates issues on designers, such as spending much time and effort on collecting requirements alone or from the customers. The designers even end up missing important necessities to complete their tasks. To address this issue, we proposed a collaborative requirements elicitation method that supports designers who are working on the same task. We developed CREFD (Collaborative Requirements Elicitation For Designers and Developers) tool to enable designers collaboratively provide requirements, identify dependencies, add annotations and votes to the provided requirements. We performed the hypothetical and empirical evaluations to test and compare the proposed method with one of the existing elicitation methods, the results show that the proposed method helps in collecting accepted and well-organized requirements better than individual requirements elicitation.

  • This study was examined relation to comprehensive needs and the quality of life in cancer patient. The Study period was 15 to 24 October 2012. The participants were 100 cancer patients more than 20 years old with cancer. Information and educational requirements are the highest need, and social support is the lowest one in patients with cancer. The longer survival time after diagnosis of cancer was, the higher social support requirements were needed. The Information and education requirement about healthy life showed higher in a family history of cancer. The cancer patients with stage IV ask higher service requirement significantly. and showed that physical and psychological requirements were getting higher, the quality of life became lower. As a result of this study, Physical and Psychological requirements were the most significant factors that affect the quality of life in cancer patients. Therefore, it is necessary to develop the physical and psychological supporting system and to provide appropriate Intervention for them.

  • This study aimed to investigate the perception on dental hygienists and convergence factors to affect social requirements on their roles so as to utilize them as the fundamental data to assist the common people to understand the occupation and roles of dental hygienists and expand their positive perception further. Upon the multiple regression analysis from 235 final analysis subjects who underwent survey from August 1st to 25th 2017 among 270 adults in Busan and Gyeongnam areas, the awareness level on the dental hygienists was higher as the education level was lower and quality of life was more positive. Requirements were increased more as the education level was lower, quality of life related to oral health was more positive, quality of life was more positive, and awareness level on the roles and knowledge of dental hygienists was increased more. Further programs and promotional plans should be continuously activated to establish the career roles and expand the awareness in every field including dental clinic practices, dental hygiene training, related groups, and so on.

  • Currently, Building Information Modeling (BIM) is an emerging technological shift that involves applying and maintaining an integral digital representation of all building information for different phases of the project life-cycle. Although BIM has been recognized as a main stream in the construction industry, it is difficult to ensure the quality of BIM data due to the problems such as internal errors of BIM tools and lack of guidelines considering design quality. Such problems give lots of difficulties to BIM adoption for designers, constructors, and owners. Therefore, it is necessary to develop the requirements including the object-oriented modeling method and property definition by applying the Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) which is an ISO/PAS 16739 standard for ensuring the quality of BIM data. This research aims at proposing the requirements considering the quality of BIM data and demonstrating the efficiency of the requirements with using the Solibri Model Checker (SMC) which is a quality control tool in a case study.

  • Software is developing toward having more large scale and many functions day by day. Also, user’s requirements level for software is being high, especially, requirements for software quality is being high continuously. Methods which can satisfy such User’s requirements is being studied in various viewpoint. First of all, study about quality evaluation system and methodology is energetically in progress in viewpoint to improve quality of software by feed-back software quality evaluation result to developers. In this paper, we define metrics according to a system and developed quality measurement tables according to internal characteristics system of quality characteristics, subcharacteritics, internal characteristics for reliability between quality characteristics of international standard, ISO/IEC 9126 about software quality. And we propose evaluation results about development products using internal characteristics.
