  • The purpose of this study is to empirically analyze the mediating effect of job stress and Job engagement in job satisfaction between WFC(Work-Family Conflict) and quality of LMX(eader-member exchange) relationship of married female workers based on JD-R(Job Demands-Resources) model. A total of 945 people were targeted using the 7th panel data from the Korean Longitudinal Survey of Women and a structural equation model was used to verify the causal relationship and mediating effect of each variable using spss 23.0 and AMOS 21.0. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that WFC did not directly affect job satisfaction, and it was found that job satisfaction was negatively affected through job stress related to WFC. It was found that the quality of the LMX relationship had a positive effect on job satisfaction and reduced job stress, thus positively affecting job satisfaction. Job engagement was found to mediate the relationship between LMX and job satisfaction. This study is meaningful in that the search for multidimensional psychological and contextual factors that lead to job performance and job demands of married female workers are conducted.

A survey was conducted from March 1 to June 30, 2015. The collected data were analyzed by SPSS 20.0 for Windows usingfrequency analysis, factor analysis, Cronbach alpha coefficients, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. The findings of the study were as follows: First, the quality of life was correlated with stress and job satisfaction. Second, the quality of life was found to have affected the levels of physical and psychological stress(p<.001). Third, the quality of life was found to have exercised an influence on job satisfaction. • Job's tears(Coix lachryma-jobi L.) chungkukjang powder and wheat bran powder were added to American cookies for practical use as healthy compounds. We examined the antioxidant activity and quality characteristics of cookies prepared with different amounts(as ratios of 10%, 20%, 25% to the flour quantity) of Job's tears chungkukjang & wheat bran powder. The antioxidant activity was estimated by DPPH free radical scavenging activity, the total phenolic compounds content and flavonoid content in Job's tears chungkukjang & wheat bran powder and cookies. The quality characteristics of Job's tears chungkukjang & wheat bran powder American cookie were estimated in terms of bulk density, pH of the dough, spread ratio, color, texture profile analysis, proximate composition, and sensory evaluations. While the spread ratio and the total polyphenol contents, flavonoid contents and DPPH free radical scavenging activity of cookies significantly increased, pH, hardness and L value of the cookies decreased with increasing Job's tears chungkukjang & wheat bran powder(p<0.01). The consumer acceptability score for the 10~20% Job's tears chungkukjang & wheat bran powder American cookie ranked significantly(p<0.05) higher than those of the other groups in texture andoverall preference. This suggests that Job's tears chungkukjang and wheat bran powder are good ingredient candidates for increasing consumer acceptability and functionality of cookies.

  • Purpose: The aims of this study were to examine the work, client, and personal environments of community health practitioners, including the level of their professional quality of life (ProQOL), and identify the factors affecting their ProQOL. Methods: Data were collected using a web-survey questionnaire, which was completed by a sample of 308 community health practitioners currently working in Korea. The questionnaire included items on ProQOL; three dimensions labeled compassion satisfaction, burn out, and secondary traumatic stress; job stress; job satisfaction; sense of community; and general characteristics. Results: The mean scores for the three dimensions were $39.2{\pm}6.44$ (compassion satisfaction), $31.9{\pm}3.59$ (burn out), and $26.4{\pm}5.05$ (secondary traumatic stress). A multiple linear regression revealed that compassion satisfaction varied significantly according to the satisfaction with job choice, sense of community, job stress, and job satisfaction. The factors affecting burn out were sense of community and work load, while the factors affecting secondary traumatic stress were education, job stress, and job satisfaction. Conclusion: The findings of this study suggest that comprehensive intervention focusing on improving the sense of community and job satisfaction and reducing job stress is essential to promote community health practitioners' ProQOL.

  • The aim of this study was to identify the influences of sleep quality, depression and fatigue on job stress of geriatric hospital workers. The subjects were 175 workers from 6 geriatric hospitals. Data were collected on March, 2015 using a structured questionnaire. The data were analyzed by using SPSS/WIN 21.0 program. The job stress was negatively correlated with sleep quality(r=-.364, p<.001), positively correlated with depression(r=.376, p<.001) and fatigue(r=.646, p<.001). The multiple regression analysis revealed that the most powerful predictor of job stress was fatigue(${\beta}=.581$, p<.001). These results indicate that fatigue affect job stress of the geriatric hospital workers. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare tailored fatigue management program and working conditions that can reduce job stress.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the job satisfaction and quality of life of nurses in a integrated nursing care service ward (INCSW) and a general ward (GW). A total of 88 nurses working in INCSW and GW were invited and followed up for 6 months over 3 times. There was no significant difference in job satisfaction between INCSW and GW for 6 months, while there was a difference in quality of life: overall quality of life (1st p=.033, 2nd p=.030), and overall general health (1st p=.049). Comparison of two groups by period in job satisfaction, there were statistically significant differences of the item 'recognition from the organization and professional achievement' (2nd versus 3rd, p=.037) and 'interpersonal interaction with respect and recognition' (1st versus 3rd, p=.005; 2nd versus 3rd, p=.006) in the INCSW. Comparison of two groups by period in quality of life, there was a statistically significant difference of the item 'overall quality of life' (1st versus 3rd, p=.025; 2nd versus 3rd, p=.010) in the INCSW. Development of various nursing strategies (such as manpower arrangement that reflects the nursing skill levels, patient needs, job training and organizational culture before placement) can be helpful for improving nurses job satisfaction and quality of life in INCSW and GW.
