Polymer cement mortar which is used as material for aging concrete structures is generally mixed manually and applied on the job site. but, to secure the required quality of the mortar, pre-mixed polymer cement mortar is favored. This study was initiated to four different pre-mixed polymer cement mortars which are produced in Korea. The for pre-mixed mortars were selected and tested with respect to physical and mechanical properties an proved that their qualities were better than those of common cement concrete mortars.

Recently in the domestic construction industry, source depletion has resulted in instances of ready-mixed concrete companies using river sand or crushed sand with high fine particle content. But the use of such low-quality fine aggregate is known to cause concrete quality to decline and have negative effects. So this study analyzed how much of an impact changes in fine particle content have on cement mortar's engineering characteristics. As a result, the flow rate and air quantity, which are characteristics of unhardened mortar, were shown to decrease as fine particle content increased, and compression strength, a characteristic of light mortar, was shown to subtly increase as fine particle content decreased.
The quality of cement mortar products largely depends on various work conditions, specially on the grading and grade shape of aggregates. However, the effect of grading and grade shape on the quality is not considered by both KS codes and production processes, resulting in the increase of the possibility of quality degradation. The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of grading and grade shape on the strength and absorption characteristics of cement mortar products. Flexural and compressive strength increased with the increase of fineness modulus and W/C. The strength increase was measured larger with river sand than with crushed sand. Absorption tended to decrease with the increase of fineness modulus and W/C, but did not affected by the source of sand.

The aim of the research is providing a fundamental data on quality and constructability of direct tile setting method depending on various cement to sand ratio for tiling dry cement mortar. A large number of tile setting failures reported is related with the cement mortar and its construction for tiling. Because of different materials of tiles, the properties of tiling dry cement mortar, an adhesive for tiling, can influence on quality and constructability of tiling differently. Practically, the easiest way of controlling the properties of the tiling dry cement mortar is to control the proportion of cement and sand. Hence, in this research, sand to cement ratio (S/C) was controlled. Since there is no standarized method on evaluating performance of dry cement mortar for tiling, a several sensory evaluation methods were suggested and executed. According to the experiments conducted in this research, the adhesive performance of cement mortar for tiles can be different depending on the sides such as tile and substrate. Additionally, depending on S/C, finishability, initial adhesive performance, and tile shifting resistance can be changed for ceramic tile. Therefore, under the conditions of this research, about 5 of S/C can be recommended for appropriate performace of tiling dry cement mortar.

It is fact that the cement is the most important material to harden the mortar and concrete, and Potland cement is used widely. Also, the chemical and physical properties of cement are different according to the kinds of cement. This is an experimental study to compare and analyze the influence of cement strength on the compressive strength of mortar to improve the quality of mortar and concrete. According to test results, it was found that correlation between cement strength and mortar strength was very high in all mixture.

This study examines whether the raw diatomaceous rock, after thermally activated for converting into a pozzolanic form, can improve cement quality(i.e., compressive strength) of the cement-mortar. The diatomaceous rock, heat-treated at 75$0^{\circ}C$ for 30minutes as an optimum pozzolanic form was mixed with OPC(Ordinary Portland Cement) on a weight basis from 0, 2.5, 5.0, 10, 20, 40%. The cement quality was then assessed by the compressive strength and analysis of XRD(S-Ray Diffraction) and SEM(Scanning Electron Microscope).

This paper investigates the manufacturing and fundamental quality characteristics of potassium magnesia phosphate-based non-cement high-volume fly ash repair mortar. To derive the optimal mix for non-cement mortar, the manufacturing characteristics were evaluated based on the magnesia ratio, and the mortar manufacturing characteristics were assessed with the fly ash mixture. Additionally, the non-cement magnesia repair mortar was produced considering the effects of fly ash mixture and basalt fiber. The evaluation results determined the optimal mix of non-cement magnesia repair mortar, and the feasibility was examined through workability and fundamental quality assessments. The optimal magnesia ratio was found to be P:M 1:0.5, with W/B at 30 %. It was also confirmed that mixing FA and basalt fiber improves fiber dispersion and workability. Even with over 50 % FA mixture, the target strength was achieved within six hours, with a flow increase of up to 18 % and a flexural strength decrease of about 1-2 MPa.

This study deals with the method of test for waterproof agent and admixture of cement, and especially, the effect on bond strength between waterproofing layer and mortar or concrete substrate in building construction. Quality of that has been managed according to it of construction standard manual, housing construction manual, 건, and Q until performance of that is specified by law as KS F 4923. Therefore this study focus on the quality and trend for a fatty system and PCM(Polymer Cement Mortar)
It has been reported that few manufacturers of cement mortar for precast products use chemical and mineral admixture due to the absense of restrictions related to the application of admixture and the poor manufacturing facilities. Therefore, this paper is intended to contribute to the improvement of quality by investigating the properties of cement mortar for precast products using fly ash, blast furnace slag and AE water reducing agent. According to the test results. it was found that the cement mortar products using fly ash and AE water-reducing agent had better qualities than those of ordinary portland cement.
The properties of the polymer-modified mortars are influenced by the polymer film, cement hydrates and the combined structure between the organic and inorganic phases. Also, this quality of polymer modified cement strongly depend on weather condition. To overcome this problem, polymer-modified cement based on rapid setting cement mortars were prepared by varying polymer/cement mass ratio (P/C) with a constant water/cement mass ratio of 0.5. The effect of polymer on the hydration of this polymer cement is studied on different curing temperature. The results showed that the polymer mortar which is modified with rapid setting cement have superior physical strength properties on independent curing temperature. In addition the PIC ratio, the compressive strength, flexural strength, tensile strength and adhesion strength of mortar is enhances and polymer-modified cement based on rapid setting cement is more beneficial to the improvement of the mortar properties in jobsite.
