효과적인 종합적 품질경영(TQM)교육 실행의 성공요인에 관한 연구 (An Empirical Study on Factors for Effective Total Quality Management Education)

  • In this paper, we studied the four stages of quality related education and training and identified alignment factors that have influence on successful TQM education and training. Based on extensive literature reviews the four stages are extracted such as quality concepts training, quality tools training, special topics training, and leadership training. Also we determine the alignment factors. A framewok of research model including above factors is developed and tested statistically. The perceived data are collected from managers of quality departments of 140 Korean firms through survey. The results show that alignment factors which achieve success in Quality related education training are using relevant examples and implementing training at the top in quality concepts training, providing time and opportunity to master skills in quality tools training, organizing courses into a logical curriculum in special topics training, and providing ongoing feedback in leadership training. We also offered numerous suggestions that can help organizations develop effective training programs to meet their objectives.

  • Quality Management is a recent phenomenon. This is applied to products or services, with an objective to deliver high quality, reliable, worthy, enduring, product or service. The process is considered to have four main components: quality planning, quality control, quality assurance and quality improvement. Focusing on quality control and quality assurance leads to achieving quality management or ensures that an organization or product is consistent. In this paper, the applicable international standard for learning services and for the organization for education and training (learning service provider) is discussed and also the procedure to implement the management system.

  • Most authorities of the Total Quality Management.(TQM) movement emphasize learning and training as an integral part of TQM, and it is well accepted in practice. However, despite this strong normative emphasis on its role, learning and training has not been systematically addressed in the TQM literature for its contents and a, pp.oaches. I first review the concept of TQM, its principles and implementation process to indentify the needs for learning and training, and the nature of experiential learning and training. I then discuss the necessity and effectiveness of experiential learning and training in TQM.

ESG 경영 관점에서 본 생산직 품질관리 교육의 생산성 향상 효과 분석 (Analysis of the productivity improvement effect of quality management training for production workers from an ESG perspective)

  • 본 연구는 ESG경영을 위한 생산직 근로자의 품질관리 교육이 생산성에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 분석 자료는 충남 지역 정규 생산직 근로자 53명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하고, IBM SPSS Statistics 20 프로그램을 활용하여 데이터를 분석했다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 품질관리 교육 만족도는 직무 생산성에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 교육 만족도가 높을수록 직무 생산성도 높아지는 경향을 보였다. 반면, 교육 동기는 직무 생산성에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않았다. 교육을 받고자 하는 동기가 높다고 해서 직무 생산성이 반드시 높아지는 것은 아니었다. 둘째, 품질관리 교육 만족도와 교육 동기는 직무 생산성과 상관관계가 다소 높게 나타났다. 이는 교육 만족도와 교육 동기가 직무 생산성에 복합적으로 영향을 미칠 수 있음을 시사한다. 설명력은 약 48%로 나타났다. 즉, 품질관리 교육 만족도와 교육 동기가 직무 생산성의 약 48%를 설명할 수 있다는 의미이다. 본 연구는 ESG 교육의 효과성을 밝히는데 초점을 맞춰, 제한된 표본을 대상으로 분석했다. 이러한 연구는 향후 더욱 심층적인 연구를 위한 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있는데 연구의 의미가 있다.

공급자참여와 고객참여 및 학습·훈련이 품질성과와 기업성과에 미치는 영향 (The Impact of Supplier Involvement, Customer Involvement, and Employee Learning/Training on Product Quality and Organizational Performance)

  • This study investigates the impact of supplier involvement, customer involvement, and employee training on product quality and organizational performance. Based on literature review, this study develops hypotheses and tests them by employing a structural equations model. Using survey data of 193 firms from 22 manufacturing industries, this study empirically shows that the activities for supply chain quality management (SCQM) enhance the quality and organizational performance. Specifically, quality leadership is revealed to be an antecedent of other SCQM activities. The most contributable finding is, while the supplier involvement and employee training directly enhance the organizational performance, customer involvement indirectly improves it via quality performance.

품질경영 성공요인과 경영성과와의 관련성 분석 - 자동차부품산업을 중심으로 - (A Study on Relation Between the Success Factors of Quality Management and Performance - With Emphasis on Automotive Parts Industry -)

  • The purpose of this study was to substantially analyze the relation between the success factors of quality management and performance. For this purpose, the success factors of quality management - CEO's leadership, customer-centeredness, process management, training, full participation of employees, and relationship with vendors - were identified as independent variables and performance was identified as dependent variable to substantially analyze the automotive parts industry. In result, the findings can be summarized into the following: First, for the relation between the success factors of quality management and financial performance, CEO's leadership, customer-centeredness, training, and full participation of employees were statistically significant, but process management and relationship with vendors were not statistically significant. Second, for the relation between the success factors of quality management and non-financial performance, CEO's leadership, customer-centeredness, full participation of employees, and relationship with vendors were statistically significant, but process management and training were not statistically significant. Third, it was also found that, among the success factors of quality management, CEO's leadership, customer-centeredness, full participation of employee should be considered more than any other variables to achieve performance. Based on the above findings, it was concluded that 'CEO's leadership' and 'customer-centeredness' had an influence on both financial and non-financial performances and were relatively more influential than other individual factors.

의료기관의 종합적 품질경영(TQM)에 관한 연구 (Research on the total quality management of the general hospitals)

  • This research first finds out the resources, activities, and effectiveness of quality management effort and the resulting customer satisfaction when the total quality management is lacking in most Korean medical agencies today. Then, it analyzes the relationship among the factors mentioned earlier. This paper utilizes actual data and presents a theoretical model which explains that the resources of quality management affect the activities and that the fruit of the quality management effort benefits the customers in the end. In addition, this study conducts a corroborative analysis through executing a survey, getting a descriptive statistical result on the subjects' characteristics and the research variables using SPSS 9.0 WIN PROGRAM, and the model is approved through analyzing its make-up using LISREL 8.12 WIN PROGRAM. The study's finding is the following: First, the management leadership affects the worker's, educational training, the quality of medical service, and the survey of customer satisfaction positively. However, it does not affect the quality of work positively. Second, the internal customer satisfaction affects the worker's participation, educational training, the quality of medical service, and the survey of customer satisfaction positively. Third, the quality of medical service and the survey of customer satisfaction affects the result of quality management positively, but the worker's participation, educational training, and the quality of work do not affect the result of quality management positively. Fourth, the management leadership does not appear to affect the result of quality management positively. Fifth, the internal quality management appears to affect the result of quality management positively. Sixth, the external customer satisfaction appears to affect the result of quality management positively. In conclusion, the findings in this study indicate that medical agencies need to utilize the active variables of quality management in order to successfully establish a total quality management.

중소기업 인적자원개발 지원사업에 대한 공급망경영 유효성에 관한 연구 (A study on the influence of supply chain management efficiency on the training supporting project in small and medium-sized enterprises)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to propose supply chain management efficiency by analyzing moderating effect on the training support project in small and midium-sized enterprise. Methods: The collected data through the survey were analyzed using multi?regression analysis. The measurement tools used for this study were divided into three dimensions such as personal characteristics, supportive environment and training effect. Results: The results of this study are as follows; first, it was found that the effects of personal characteristics and supportive environment were significant on training effect. Second, significant differences were found between supply chain management active group and inactive group. Third, moderating effect of supply chain manage efficiency was found between variables. Conclusion: SME supporting project in training program needs supply chain management efficiency for training effect. Supply chain management needs to be promoted in SMEs not only for performance but also for their workplace learning and learning culture.

Total Quality Management in Taiwan's Telecommunication Industry

  • Following the trend of global telecommunication liberalization, the telecommunication industry in Taiwan will be a star industry and grow up quickly in the future. This study uses questionnaires to survey the implementation issues of total quality management in Taiwan's telecommunication industry. Most of the thirty-nine telecommunication companies surveyed herein are medium-sized with fairly weak quality performance. Advanced quality management training programs (such as experimental design) are seldom implemented and decision-makers do not pay much attention to training programs related to TQM.
