Character Recognition System for the Components Used in Industry by the Information of Their Images (영상정보에 기반한 산업용 부품 문자 인식 시스템)

  • In this paper, we developed a character recognition system which could be applied to the automation of construction assembling, and testing process of components by the recognition of characters on the components used in industry department. In this system the image information of each component was caught by the CCD camera and then characters on the images were recognized automatically. If we apply the system to the industrial field it will meet the various requirements such as high productivity, low cost and high qualify products and factory automation.

  • LES code was developed and verified to investigate the turbulence evolution in the gas generator equipped with turbulence ring. We compared mixing enhancement of various turbulence rings having different shape and size. To qualify the mixedness, we used two perturbation values of energy and enstrophy.

  • In this papers, we proposes a efficient compression method of an image using the extraction of boundary region of DCT in MPEG-1. DCT coefficients have from low frequency to high frequency various components. After performing DCT to an image, the data is compressed to contain the boundary Region by quantization, and the information of boundary Region can be extracted by inverse DCT. In those, I chose frequency components susceptible to the boundary through the many experiences. In this paper, boundary can be selected by dividing low frequency by big quantization coefficient and dividing high frequency by small quantization coefficient without degrading visual qualify in MPEG-1. Also it is predicted that to reduce high frequency value will be good in noisy environments.

Studies on Preparation and Quality of Kimchi-Bread (김치식빵의 제조와 품질에 관한 연구)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effect of homogenized kimchi product (HKP) on dough characteristics and quality of bread. Fermented homogenized Chinese cabbage kimchi product was added 0.10, 20 and 30% to wheat flour. The pH of dough decreased with an increase in the amounts of HKP, which showed at PH 4.9 for the dough added 30% HKP. Fermentation time of the dough was reduced as much as 9~23 minutes as compared with the control products. Loaf volume index of the bread prepared by adding 10 ~30% HKP increased also by 12.7 ~ 19.0%. Hardness, cohesiveness, springiness and gumminess of the bread added with 30% HKP were lower than those of the control. The gas forming cell of the bread added with 30% HKP were good and regular. Crust and internal color of the bread with more HKP had tendency to redness. Sensory quality of the kimchi-bread estimated by shape, flavor and overall quality was better than that of control product, especially the kimchi-bread qualify at addition of 30% HKP was best.

The Effect of Water Activity on the Storage Stability of Red Ginseng (수분활성도가 홍삼저장성에 미치는 영향)

  • Major quality indices for deterioration of red ginseng including oxidation of lipids and change of brown color intensity were periodically investicated during storage of Red Ginseng under various water activity conditions at 3$0^{\circ}C$. The results obtained were summarized as follows. 1. The monolayer moisture contents were 3.25% and 6.3% for red ginseng and red ginseng powder, respectively, and the corresponding water activities were 0.14 and 0.16, respectively. 2. Oxidation of lipids as measured by TBA value increased with an increase in relative humidity and storage period 3. Under storage conditions above 42% R H., brown color intensity also increased in similar fashion to that of oxidation of lipids as relative humidity and storage Period increased 4. It was concluded from above results that water activity of Red Ginseng should be kept less than 0.57 so that red ginseng could Preserve stable qualify.

  • An important problem to be carried into a plan on the occasion for introduction of TQC is to establish the clear-cut policy and workable system on QC. In connection with escalation the product liability in recent days, especially, a point to he considered in relation the real state of enterprise, it seems likely to be difficult an effective performance without distribution of the definite duality function to each departments in the company, and to define the quality function, it should be educed and coordinated under agreement organization wide participation and conciliation. In this paper, we have tried to have a more effective graft the European style QC on the oriental enterprise, by means of presenting a model that manages synthetically a way of deployment the fundamental factors affecting quality, and establishing the control subject in each function unit.

In single screen-film system, for imaging the best image, we must choice good film according to speed and gredient. Double screen-film system will be replaced single screen film system in general radiography.   • The international competition in refrigerator markets has continuously required the research for sound quality of a refrigerator to improve the quality of a life. In this paper, A new method for evaluation of the sound quality of a refrigerator is developed based on human sensibility engineering by using ANN(Artificial neural network). Finally it is applied to evaluate the sound qualify of refrigerator on the production line.

  • Recently, the concern on sound qualify (SQ) is on the steep increase in the fields of vehicle and home appliance and over the fast few decades a considerable number of studies have been conducted on SQ evaluation. As a result, basic procedure for SQ evaluation has been already suggested. Although most interesting sounds have time-varying features, however, little is known about their SQ evaluation. The purpose of this study is to systematize a method for SQ evaluation of non-stationary sound. For this, various listening tests procedure for non-stationary sound is introduced and it is attempted to find out correlation between various SQ metrics and subjective data obtain from listening test. Booming of car interior noise in acceleration is used as an example and finally, representative value is obtained for the interesting sensation of non-stationary sound.
