This paper presents the performance of PV(Photovoltaic) system, the design of MPPT(Maximum Power Point Tracker). Output of PV power system is DC, and PV power system is linked to the DC bus. The current(I)-voltage(V) output characteristic of PV cells changes with solar irradiance and cell temperature as parameters. As various PV modules respond differently to each of the parameters cited above. Maximum output of PV modules am be achieved by MPPT(Maximum Power Point Tracker) algorithm This paper includes a discussion on the performance of PV module, MPPT algorithm and the influence of PV module angle.

This paper focuses on steel arrays regarding the application of PV system for solar power system, a renewable energy in steel structure stadium that will be built in Korea, by foreign case study. 20 cases of Steel Structure Stadiums applying PV system after 1990 were selected as the main subjects. The 20 cases of Steel Structure Stadiums were categorized by rail systems that were installed to fix PV module. As the result, linear clamping and roof-integrated type among cross rails were 28% of the whole, followed by 17% of rail-fixed type and 11% of module group-fixed type among vertical-fixed types. In addition, linear clamping and roof-integrated type among cross rails were applied in the inside of the stadium while the outside and other parts of stadiums used angle bracket to fix PV module.
The integration of PV modules into building facades or roof could raise their temperature that results in the reduction of PV system's electrical power generation. Hot air can be extracted from the space between PV modules and building envelope, and used for heating in buildings. The extraction of hot air from the space will enhance the performance of BIPV systems. The solar collector utilizing these two aspects is called PV/T(photovoltaic/thermal) solar collector. This paper compares the experimental performance of two different types of air type PV/T collector units: the base case of a collector unit with 10cm gap for forced ventilation and the other unit with copper pin attached to PV module to enhance its thermal performance. The experimental results shows that the base case unit had the overall efficiency of 41.9% and the improved unit with copper pin attached to PV module had 50.1% efficiency. For these air type PV/T units, the forced ventilation of the air space improved the electrical performance as well as the thermal performance.
The present society have been polluted the earth environment by the rapid industrial growth. So, the meaning of sustainable development is doing more important. Therefore the technology skills of sustainable architecture techniques have been studied many-side of energy as like energy saving and substitutive energy. But, See the studies until now, there have been just one system either energy saving or substitutive energy. So, the paper studies about energy saving system with substitutive energy system(the double-skin facade system with PV modules) and presents the performance of system through the analysis of reduction of the energy load, the solar radiation on the slope angle of PV module, the blind effect in system.

Research on photovoltaic (PV) generation is taking a lot of attention due to its infinity and environment-friendliness with decrease of price per PV cell. While central inverters connect group of PV modules to utility grid in which maximum power point tracking (MPPT) for each module is difficult, micro inverter is attached on each module so that MPPT for individual modules can be easily achieved. Moreover, energy generation and consumption efficiency can be much improved by employing direct current (DC) distribution system. In this paper, a digitally controlled PV micro converter interfacing PV to DC distribution system is proposed. Boundary conduction mode (BCM) is utilized to achieve zero voltage switching (ZVS) of active switch and eliminate reverse recovery problem of passive switch. A 120W prototype boost PV micro converter is implemented to verify the feasibility and experimental results show higher than 98% efficiency at peak power and 97.29% of European efficiency.
A current compensation method to reduce the mismatch loss in PV systems is proposed as a way to increase the power generation efficiency. A dc-dc converter is used to supply currents to irregular modules in a PV string and is powered from the string output. The converter's voltage conversion ratio is adjusted so that all the modules in the string are operated at the maximum power point. The power rating and size of the converter can be reduced since only the current difference between the regular and irregular module may be supplied. The compensated string shows very little voltage mismatch compared to other regular strings. The validity of the proposed method is verified through a simulation and experiments in a prototype PV system.
A low concentrating (< 5X) photovoltaic module with aluminum reflectors is fabricated and evaluated which is designed to reduce the affection of the high temperature to the solar cell modules preventing the efficiency lowering. As results, the output power is increased of 1.97X from the concentrating photovoltaic module which is designed with the concentrating ratio of 2.25X and to control the module temperature cooling the module by air circulation. Also, the effect of the concentrating module with aluminum reflectors on the conventional PV module is investigated at the field. The result shows the increase of the output power more than about 20% and the improvement of the module efficiency of 1.4X in spite of the increase of average module temperature.

In this presentation, We monitored weather data, such as global irradiance, ambient temperature, temperature of PV module, relative humidity and windspeed for 2 years, for determining accelerated test condition. then, we determined the temperature limit of accelerated test through weather data and FEM analysis. Detailed procedures will be summarized in this work. After analysing outdoor stress such as thermal stress, we decided main failure modes and mechanisms of PV module, especially solder joint of ribbon wire. we carried out the measurement of material properties such as thermal expansion coefficient for planning of accelerated test. we designed accelerated test based on FEM analysis results. we carried out thermal cycling test with 1 cell mini module for 3 months. We monitored the change of electrical performance every 1 week such as Voc, Isc, Pmax, etc. and then, we analized the ribbon wire/electrode intefaces. Detailed results will be summarized in this work.
In this paper, we study the electrical characteristics evaluation of PV module caused by mechanical stress. By observing the easy separation between glass and frame of module, we give static force on surface of PV module. Through this experiment, parallel resistance changes by varying loading stress. Also the maximum power reduction ratio is measured using class A solar simulator. The specific analysis is shown in the following paper.
The application of photovoltaics into building as integrated building components has been paid more attention worldwide. Photovoltaics or solar electric modules are solid state devices, directly converting solar radiation into electricity; the process does not require fuel and any moving parts, and produce no pollutants. And the prefab building method is very effective because the pre- manufactured building components is simply assembled to making up buildings in the construction fields especially the sandwich panel. Architecture considerations for the integration of PV module to building envelope such as building structure, construction type, safety, regulation, maintenance etc. have been carefully refelected from the early stage of BIPV module design. Trial product of BIPV module are manufactured and sample construction details for demonstration building are purposed. Therefore, this paper intends to advanced its practical use by proposing how to get integrated PV system which can be applied to prefab building material, and how to apply it.
