The proline utilization (put) operon of Vibrio vulnificus consists of the putAP genes encoding a proline dehydrogenase and proline permease. The result of put-lux transcriptional fusion analysis suggests that the V vulnificus putAP operon is not autoregulated by the PutA protein. A putR null mutation decreased proline dehydrogenase activity and the level of the put transcripts, indicating that transcription of putAP is under the positive control of PutR. The deduced amino acid sequence of the putR was similar to those reported from other bacteria with high levels of identity. Chromatin IP and GST pull-down assays revealed that PutR specifically binds to the putAP promoter region in vivo, and interacts with CRP in vitro. Taken together, the results suggested that PutR exerts its effect on putAP expression by directly interacting with CRP bound to the upstream region of P$_{put}$.

The pathogenic marine bacterium Vibrio vulnificus is the causative agent of food-borne diseases such as life-threatening septicemia. To better understand this organism's strategies to survive osmotic stress, a mutant that was more sensitive to high osmolarity was screened from a library of mutants constructed by a random transposon mutagenesis. By a transposon-tagging method, putAP genes encoding a proline dehydrogenase and a proline permease were identified and cloned from V. vulnificus. The amino acid sequences deduced from nucleotide sequences of putAP from V. vulnificus were 38 to $59\%$ similar to those of PutA and PutP reported from other Enterobacteriaceae. Functions of putAP genes were assessed by the construction of mutants, whose putAP genes were inactivated by allelic exchanges. When proline as the sole carbon or nitrogen source was used, the putA mutant was not able to grow to the substantial level, revealing the proline dehydrogenase is the only enzyme for metabolic conversion of proline into other amino acids. Although the growth rate of the putP mutant on proline as the sole carbon or nitrogen source was significantly reduced, the mutant still grew. This indicated that at least one more proline permease is produced by V. vulnificus. The putP mutant decreased approximately $2-log_10$ CFU/ml after a hyperosmotic challenge, while the parent strain decreased approximately $l-log_10$ CFU/ml. This result suggests that the gene product of putP contributes to the osmotic tolerance of V. vulnificus.

In these days, with the diffusion of mobile equipments, the number of WiFi Access Point (AP) is increasing, and the growth of WiFi AP causes the throughput degradation due to interferences between APs. This recent phenomenon demands the method able to be utilized with current WiFi network to improve the throughput of Wireless LANs. This paper studied the channel assignment method and several throughput enhancement methods to optimize Radio Resource Management (RRM) for distributed infrastructure WLANs. As a result, it was able to put AP independently, improve older allocation error, and improve execution speed.
This paper describes a new approach to Internet host mobility. We argue that local mobility, the performance of existing mobile host protocol can be significantly improved. It proposes Fast Moving Detection scheme that based on neighbor AP channel information and moving detection table. And, it composes Local Area Clustering Path (LACP) domain that collected in AP's channel information and MN interface information. It stored the roaming table to include channel information and moving detection. Those which use the proposal scheme will need to put LACP information into the beacon or probe frame. Each AP uses scheme to inform available channel information to MN. From the simulation result, we show that the proposed scheme is advantageous over the legacy schemes in terms of the burst blocking probability and the link utilization.

This study investigates the usefulness of body fix in 4DRT on Liver cancer trying to find tumor tissue's volume and located variations, absorbed dose on tumor and normal tissues. Test subjects 23 patients were agreed these test. These patient's have a 4 dimensional CT scan. We make an acquisition on patients CT image by two types -put on the body fix or not-. Average tumor volume reduced by 0.17% on GTV and 3.2% on CTV and PTV. Tumor's variation reduces 29.8%(anterior and posterior, AP) and 5.31% (upper and lower, UL). The absorbed tumor doses under put on the body fix was a little higher(1.3%) than other. Normal tissues'(normal liver, stomach, Rt. kidney, spinal cord) absorbed dose could be reduced approximately 5%. Therefore, using body fix on 4DRT for liver cancer patient is considered effectively.
A pollen analytical study was carried out on the accumulated humus samples collected from 27 sites under the different plant communities of Mt. Seolag. These pollen spectra were then compared with the actual vegetation. The aboreal pollen(AP) and non-abnoreal pollen(NAP) were 1 Family 25 Genus and 5 Family 5 Genus, respectively. Among the aboreal pollen identified, the pollen of Pinus, Quercus, Betula and Acer were appeared in abundance and the coniferous pollen of Pinus was occupied at least 20%-65% through all the sites studied. The pollens of Abies, Betula, accer, Quercus, Carpinus, Corylus, Fraxinus, Styrax, Prunus and Ericaceae were in accordance with the present vegetation but the other pollens were inconsistent with the actual vegetaton. It suggests that it was caused by the difference between Wehseolag and Namseolag of subalpine zone in Mt. Seolag was 200 m by pollen spectra. Quercus was distributed at the lower part of Namseolag and the subalpine boreal elements were increased with increasing altitudes. The pollen spectra of each site was put together into 5 groups of pollen assemblage by cluster analysis and the community coefficient (CC) was over 60% between all sites studied.
This study's purpose is improve image quality to keep accurate tube angle in order to recognize distortion degree conditions by patient's position or tube angle and to provide exact clinical informations when taking chest AP projection for patient which have L-tube in stomach. The experimental equipment was ELMO-T6S by SHIMADZU corporation, then we put L-tube which attached 1 mm gap scales ruler on chest phantom surface. The experiment set by 90 kVp, 4 mAs, 120 cm distance. Each phantom position which changed supine, 30degree, 45degree, 60degree on the table exposured direct, ${\pm}5degree$, ${\pm}10degree$, ${\pm}15degree$ to head and feet directions. As a result, L-tube tip's position was changed by patient's position and tube angle. When patient's position is supine, tip's position change was lower than 30degree, 45degree, 60degree. We have to adjust patient's position or tube angle in order to occur image distortion by fault tube angle when confirming correct position L-tube tip through chest x-ray. Also, Radiological technologist try to make accurate evaluation index for satisfied L-tube insertion.
Objective : The purpose of this study is to investigate the antioxidant activities of Alismatis Rhizoma herbal acupuncture by experimental methods. Methods : For this purpose, first, we put an emphasis in the control of enzymes of the antioxidant system in various changes inside the cell; these changes caused by the proliferation or the activation of the cell which were brought about by the handling of PMA and $TNF-{\alpha}$ into the THP-1 monocyte cell of the body each other. After that, we caused the acute oxidant symptom by the injection of AAPH into the mouse' abdominal cavity, and then applied the herbal acupuncture on S36 point(足三里), and finally, we measured the change of blood ingredient and the resistance against the activated oxygen of the red blood cell membrane, MDA, SOD, and catalase. Results : In vitro the revelation of $IL-1{\beta}$, IL-8, $TNF-{\alpha}$, NOS II and IL-6 were decreased and the revelation of IL-10, $TGF-{\beta}$, GM-CSFIL-12, GM-CSF and SOD were increased. The DNA-binding of $NF-{\kappa}B$ and AP-1 were activated and the formation of ROS in the THP-1 cell line was decreased. In vivo $IL-1{\beta}$ among producing the cytokine inside the plasma was meaningfully dwindled and the $INF-{\gamma}$ was meaningfully increased. The resistance of red blood cell membrane against the activated oxygen was meaningfully increased and the MDA formation was meaningfully dwindled, In the activation of hepatic antioxidase, the SOD was meaningfully increased. Conclusion : Alismatis Rhizoma herbal acupuncture by experimental methods has effected on the antioxidant activities.
