A Novel Battery Charge/Discharge System with Zero Voltage Discharge Function (영전압 방전 기능을 갖는 새로운 배터리 충방전시스템)

  • One important test for formation and grading of the lithium-ion battery is to confirm the performance of the battery while discharging battery down to zero volts. In this paper, a novel charge/discharge converter with zero-voltage discharge function is proposed. The proposed converter is able to discharge the battery until the voltage reaches to zero volts. The phase-shifted full bridge method is used to charge the battery and the current-fed push-pull method with bidirectional switches is used for the discharge. The ZVS turn-on is achieved in the charge operation and the ZVS turn-off in the discharge operation. The performance of the system is verified by the experiments using lithium-ion batteries.

  • This paper shows a new kind of push-pull switching converter for fuel-cell system and analyses the connected characteristics of it. In these characteristics, we are concerned about the high harmonic rate of output current, we also have designed the filter system for the inverter. Besides, the characteristics should be certified better if the ripple of the fuel-cell output current has been eliminated.

  • A novel family of Buck mode three-level direct ac converters with a high frequency link is proposed. These converters can transfer an unsteady high ac voltage with distortion into a regulated sinusoidal voltage with a low THD at the same frequency. The circuit configuration is constituted of a three-level converter, high frequency transformer, cycloconverter, as well as input and output filters. The topological family includes forward, push-pull, half-bridge, and full-bridge modes. In order to achieve a reliable three-level ac-ac conversion, and to overcome the surge voltage and surge current of the cycloconverter, a phase-shifted control strategy is introduced in this paper. A prototype is presented with experimental results to demonstrate that the proposed converters have five advantages including high frequency electrical isolation, lower voltage stress of the power switches, bi-directional power flow, low THD of the output voltage, and a higher input power factor.

  • 본 논문에서는 능동 클램프 회로를 적용한 전류 유입형 푸쉬풀 저전압 컨버터를 제안한다. 1차측에는 공통의 클램핑 커패시터를 사용하였으며 2차측에는 L-C 직렬 공진형 풀브릿지 정류기를 사용하였다. 1차측의 클램핑 커패시터는 변압기의 누설 인덕턴스 성분과 스위치의 기생 커패시터 성분의 공진으로 발생하는 링잉 현상을 완화시켰다. 제안된 능동 클램핑 회로는 효율은 200W에서 97.06%로 나타났으며 PSIM으로 시뮬레이션을 통하여 검증하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 Boost 컨버터와 Push-pull 컨버터로 구성되어 가격 경쟁력 향상 및 안정적으로 출력 전압 제어가 가능한 게이트 드라이버용 DC-DC 컨버터를 제안한다. 제안된 DC-DC 컨버터는 항상 최상의 성능으로 동작하는 전기 자동차용 인버터를 구현하기 위해 전기 자동차의 열악한 동작 환경에 상관없이 안정적인 On/Off 전압을 공급한다. 제안된 DC-DC 컨버터는 80kW 전기 자동차 개발을 위해 제작된 인버터를 통하여 성능을 검증하였다.

  • 본 논문은 재생에너지의 고전압크기 변환에 적용하기 위해 출력 정류 다이오드 뒤에 LCL 공진회로를 갖는 푸시풀 컨버터를 나타내었다. 푸시풀 컨버터의 공진회로는 두 배의 스위칭 주파로 동작함으로 공진요소의 값이 작아도 되어 소형 경량이다. 제안된 푸시풀 컨버터 토포로지는 낮은 전압에서 높은 전압까지 안정된 전압을 얻을 수 있다. 실험 컨버터는 입력전압 24[V], 전류 80-A, 출력전압 320[V] 출력 1.5[kW]이고 동작 주파수 20 [kHz]에서 양호하게 동작하였고 시뮬레이션과 실험 결과가 잘 일치함을 볼 수 있다.

  • 본 논문에서는 친환경 자동차, UPS 시스템 등 배터리와 같은 에너지 저장장치의 충 방전을 위한 3상 양방향 DC-DC 컨버터를 제안한다. 제안하는 컨버터는 PWM+위상제어방식으로 동작하고 모든 스위치 ZVS 턴온을 성취하며 기존 위상제어 컨버터와 PWM 푸시풀 컨버터보다 낮은 전류정격을 갖는 특징이 있다. 기존 컨버터와 비교하여 이론적 분석을 제시하였고 시작품을 통해 타당성 및 성능을 검증하였다.

  • With the advent of power semiconductor switching devices, power electronics relating to high frequency electromagnetic eddy current based induction heating technology have become more suitable and acceptable. This paper presents high-frequency induction heating cooking appliance circuit based on the zero current switching-PWM single ended push-pull(ZCS-PWM SEPP) resonant inverter added AC-DC converter. This inverter uses pulse-width-modulation(PWM) control method with active auxiliary quasi-resonant lossless inductor snubbers and a switched capacitor. To improved the transient performance, the PI controller is applied for this system. For the systematic parameter optimization of the PI controller, the gradient-based optimization algorithm is applied. The performance of optimized parameters is evaluated using simulation and experimental test. These results show that the proposed systematic optimal tuning method improve the transient performances of this system.

  • In this paper, a simple technique is presented for robust stability testing of perturbed DC-DC converters having multi-linear uncertainty structure. This technique provides a necessary and sufficient condition for testing robust stability. It is based on the corollary of Routh criterion and gridding of parameters. The previous work based on parametric control theory using Kharitonov's theorem and Hermite Biehler theorem gives conservative results and only the sufficient condition of stability, whereas the proposed method provides the necessary and sufficient condition for testing robust stability and it is computationally efficient. The superiority of the method is compared with the Edge theorem.

  • This study deals with an evaluation method for testing the robustness of the 4 kW commercial power electronic cooling system to the thermal environment. The power electronic cooling system consists of a cascaded push-pull DC / DC converter, a three-phase DC / AC inverter, and an electric compressor. The system manufactured by the thermal environment evaluation test (heat distribution test, thermal impact test, high temperature operation test, temperature cycle test, low temperature operation test) for the commercial electric power cooling system for commercial vehicle proves that it is robust against thermal environment.
