AZ31B 합금판재 성형관련 기초물성 실험 및 해석 연구 (Experimental and Analytical Researches on Mechanical Properties Related to Formability of AZ31B Alloy Sheet)

  • In this paper, tension tests and formability tests are performed to construct a database related to mechanical properties and the formability of the AZ31B Mg alloy sheet. A forming test with a hemi-spherical punch is conducted at varying temperatures to establish a forming limit diagram. In order to verify the applicability of the analysis using the conventional flow hardening model, a finite element analysis is performed on the hemi-spherical punch forming process and the results are compared with experimental ones. The study investigates problems involving a computational analysis that does not consider flow softening of the magnesium alloy at elevated temperatures.

  • This research was undertaken to clarify effects of thermal aging on electrochemical and mechanical properties of superaustenitic stainless steel. The steel was artificially aged at $300{\sim}650^{\circ}C$ for $240{\sim}10,000hrs$. and investigated at $-196{\sim}650^{\circ}C$ using small punch(SP) test. Also, the change in electrochemical properties caused by effects of thermal aging was investigated using electrochemical anodic polarization test in a KOH electrolyte. Carbides and ${\eta}-phase(Fe_2Mo)$ precipitated in the grain bounderies seem to deteriorate the mechanical properties by decreasing cohesive strength in the grain bounderies and promote the current density observed in electrochemical polarization curves. The electrochemical and mechanical properties of superaustenitic stainless steel was drastically decreased in the specimen aged at $650^{\circ}C$.

지르코니아 /NiCrAlY 계 플라즈마 용사피막의 고온 파괴거동에 관한 연구 (A Study on High Temperature Fracture Behavior of Plasma Sprayed Zirconia/ NiCrAlY Coating System)

  • This paper describes experimental results of modified small punch( MSP) test conducted to evaluate the fracure characteristics and mechanical properties of plasma sparayed zirconia ($ZrO_2$ stabilized with 8wt. % $Y_20_3$ : YSZ) NiCrAlY composite. The mixing ratios of YSZ/NiCrAlY were 0/100, 25/75, 50/50, 100/0 v.%. Test temperatures ranged from 293K to 1473K. This study is directed at development of thermal barrrier coating(TBC) system with superior heat resistance and mechanical properties. The microstructure and fracture process of the composite were examined by SEM and AE method. The mechanical properties of 100% YSZ were nearly independent of the temperatures tested in this study. In contrast, the NiCrAlY-containing composites showed a significant decrease of the mechanical properties above 1273K, showing a ductile- brittle transition behavior up to the temperature. Furthermore, it can seen that 25% YSZ/75% NiCrAlY composite gave the highest fracure strength and fracture energy among the mixing ratio tested over the temperature range.

몇가지 채소류의 펀치특성 (Punch Properties of Some Vegetables)

  • 몇가지 채소류(오이, 무우, 마늘, 생강 및 감자)의 펀치특성을 살펴보기 위하여 식품물성 측정기로 일정하게 힘을 가하면서 힘-거리-시간 간의 관계를 살펴보고 성분함량 및 세포특성과의 관계를 살펴본 결과는 다음과 같다. 힘-거리 및 거리-시간 곡선 상에는 많은 변곡점 및 파괴점이 관찰되었으며, 이는 시료의 구성세포가 가해진 힘에 대해 저항 또는 항복할때 나타나는 현상으로 탐침속도가 느릴때 크고 분명하였다. 파괴점까지 힘-시간 및 거리-시간에 대한 회귀분석 결과 상관계수는 0.95이상이었다. 탐침이 시료를 관통하는 시간과 그때의 힘은 생강이 5.63초 및 4.88 N으로 컸고 오이가 4.15초 및 2.00 N으로 작았으며, 탐침속도가 빠를 수록 더 많은 파괴힘을 필요로 하였다. 상관관계 분석결과 세포가 클수록 수분함량이 많고 파괴거리가 커지며, 세포의 규칙성, 시료의 즙액, 조밀도와 힘-시간 간의 기울기는 작아지는 관계를 보였다. 비중이 클수록 파괴힘, 거리 및 시간은 작아졌으며, 거리-시간곡선의 기울기는 힘-시간곡선의 기울기와 반비례 관계가 있었다.

  • 금속 재료의 수소취화 현상에 대한 분석은 수소플랜트의 안전성 평가를 위해 매우 중요하다. 수소환경하 취화된 재료의 기계적 물성과 파괴인성은 구조 건전성 평가에 가장 기본적이며 중요한 자료이다. 본 논문은 최근에 개발된 유한요소 해석 기반 현상학적 손상해석을 소형펀치 실험에 적용하고 Inconel 617 재료의 대기 중 소형펀치 실험결과와 비교 함으로써 손상해석 기법의 적용 타당성을 보였다. 또한 역변환 기법을 사용하여 소형펀치 실험으로부터 인장물성을 예측하고 인장실험으로부터 구한 재료 물성과 비교하여 적용 가능성을 검증하였다. 검증된 결과를 바탕으로 수소취화된 시편에 대한 소형펀치 실험결과에 역변환 기법과 손상해석을 적용하여 수소취화 된 재료의 기계적물성과 파괴인성을 예측하였다.

  • Metal forming ins the process changing shapes and mechanical properties of the workpiece without initial material reduction through plastic deformation. Above all, because of hot working carried out above recrystallization temperature can be generated large deformation with one blow, it can produce with forging complicated parts or heat resisting super alloy such as Inconel 718 has the worst forgeability. In this paper, we established optimal variation of hot heading precess of the Inconel 718 used in heat resisting component and evaluated mechanical properties hot worked produce. Die material is SKD61 and initial temperature is $300^{\circ}C$. Initial billet temperature and punch velocity changed, relatively. Friction coefficient is 0.3 as lubricated condition of hot working. CAE is carried out suing DEFORM software before making the tryout part, and it is manufactured 150 ton screw press with optimal condition. It is known that forming load was decreased according to decreasing punch velocity.

Pb-free 솔더 조인트의 인공시효 처리시간과 실험온도에 따른 강도평가 (Strength Evaluation of Pb-free Solder Joints with Artificial Aging Time and Test Temperature)

  • The conventional SnPb solders were widely used for several decades in the electronic packing system due to the superior mechanical properties such as low melting point, better wettavility and good mechanical fatigue. However, in recent years, owing to adverse effect on the human health and environment, conventional SnPb solders have been replaced by Lead-free solders. In this research, the shear punch(SP) test of Sn-4Ag-(Cu)/Ni pad was performed. Pb-free solder alloys which are the environmentally friendly of the electronic components were performed at $150^{\circ}C$ for 100hr~1000hr to artificial aging processing. In order to evaluate the mechanical properties of solder joints, the SP test was conducted at $30^{\circ}C$ and $50^{\circ}C$. As a result, the maximum shear strength of almost the whole specimens was decreased with the increase in aging time and temperature of SP test. The mechanical properties of Sn-4Ag-0.5Cu solder were most excellent in all Pb-free solder which were produced by the SP test at $30^{\circ}C$.

  • Small punch-creep(SP-Creep) test technique has been applied for evaluating the creep characteristics for high temperature materials. However, in order to evaluate the damage and predict the remaining life, it is necessary to establish a quantitative correlation between SP-Creep and uniaxial-creep test results. This paper presents analytical and experimental results of useful correlation between SP-Creep and uniaxial-creep properties for 9Cr1MoVNb steel at $600{\sim}650^{\circ}C$ in terms of stress(load) and activation energy during creep deformation. Especially, the activation energy obtained from SP-Creep test is linearly related to that from uniaxial-creep test at $650^{\circ}C$ as follows: $Q_{sp-p}{\fallingdotseq}1.37\;Q_{TEN},\;Q_{sp-{\sigma}}{\fallingdotseq}1.53\;Q_{TEN}$.

  • This paper describes a design method for the corner radius of a contacting body using the theoretical approach of contact mechanics. A complete contact, as in the case of a sharp-cornered punch, produces singular contact traction: whereas, in an incomplete contact, the singular contact traction disappears because of the rounded corners, and the contact edges are within the rounded regions. The design method aims to determine the conditions of the contact force as well as the material properties in an incomplete contact. The incomplete contact changes into the complete contact again when the contact edges exceed the rounded regions owing to either an increased contact force or the compliance of the materials. The contact length of a rounded punch is used as a parameter to derive the required conditions. As a result, a design formula is obtained, which provides a minimum allowable radius when the materials, normal contact force, and the length of a flat region of the punch are predetermined. This work consists of two parts: Part I includes a theoretical background, design method, and formula, and Part II describes the actual process with the investigation of design parameters.
