도시 소유역 배수펌프장 운영개선 방안 연구 (1) - GIS 기반 수문모형에 의한 홍수유출수문곡선의 재현 (Operational Improvement of Small Urban Storm Water Pumping Station (1) - Simulation of Flood Hydrograph using GIS-based Hydrologic Model)

  • Recently some urban areas have been flooded due to heavy storm rainfalls. Though major causes of these floodings may be attributed to localized heavy rainfalls, other factors are related to urban flooding including deficiency of storm sewer network capacity, change of surface runoff due to covered open channels, and operational problems of storm drainage pump stations. In this study, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis of Sutak basin in Guri city were carried out to evaluate flooding problems occurred during the heavy storm in July, 2001. ArcView, a world most widely used GIS tool, was used to extract required data for the hydrologic analysis including basin characteristics data, concentration times, channel routing data, land use data, soil distribution data and SCS runoff curve number generation from digital maps. HEC-HMS, a GIS-based runoff simulation model, was successfully used to simulate the flood inflow hydrograph to Sutak pumping station.

Comparison of event tree/fault tree and convolution approaches in calculating station blackout risk in a nuclear power plant

  • Station blackout (SBO) risk is one of the most significant contributors to nuclear power plant risk. In this paper, the sequence probability formulas derived by the convolution approach are compared with those derived by the conventional event tree/fault tree (ET/FT) approach for the SBO situation in which emergency diesel generators fail to start. The comparison identifies what makes the ET/FT approach more conservative and raises the issue regarding the mission time of a turbine-driven auxiliary feedwater pump (TDP), which suggests a possible modeling improvement in the ET/FT approach. Monte Carlo simulations with up-to-date component reliability data validate the convolution approach. The sequence probability of an alternative alternating current diesel generator (AAC DG) failing to start and the TDP failing to operate owing to battery depletion contributes most to the SBO risk. The probability overestimation of the scenario in which the AAC DG fails to run and the TDP fails to operate owing to battery depletion contributes most to the SBO risk overestimation determined by the ET/FT approach. The modification of the TDP mission time renders the sequence probabilities determined by the ET/FT approach more consistent with those determined by the convolution approach.

목조 사찰화재의 유형별 진압대책에 관한 연구 (A Study on Fire Suppression Measures Used in Wooden Temples)

  • 본 연구에서는 목조 사찰 화재시 펌프(물탱크)차의 현장 도착 가능여부에 따라 사찰화재 유형별 진압대책을 4가지 유형으로 분류하고, 각 유형별 화재진압 전술 및 방법을 도출하였다. 연구결과, 펌프(물탱크)차의 접근 및 소방용수 확보가 가능한 사찰은 일반 건축물화재 진압전술을 적용하지만, 그렇지 않은 경우는 헬기, Water Bag, 연계급수 집중 진압전술, 무선통신을 이용한 소방차 수위 자동전송 System 및 급수낭을 활용하고, 사찰 인근 소방서에 화재진압 장비(동력펌프, 호스, 노즐, 급수낭 등)를 적재한 일반 4륜구동 차량 배치와 A자 사다리를 활용한 진압대책 등이 필요한 것으로 나타났다.

경기 남부지역 풍력자원의 평가와 농업분야 활용방안 (Assessment and Agricultural Use of Wind Resources in Southern Part of Gyeonygi Province)

  • Wind energy is one of the promising renewable energies that could provide electricity and other mechanical power. Wind energy market is dramatically growing in many European countries, but wind power is only 0.2% of the total renewable energy uses that is only about 2% of the primary energy consumption in Korea. It is widely accepted that wind resources fur power generation are only limited in some areas including coastal regions and mountainous areas in Gangwon province in Korea, particularly in terms of large scale wind power developments. In this study, wind velocity data were analyzed with respect to the potential utilization. The data provided from National Weather Service were used for the analysis. In addition, field wind data were also collected and analyzed for the comparison between the national data. The comparison showed that there were significant differences between the experimental station and the national station that are about 5km away. Annual average wind speed at the experimental station was less than 2 m/s, which is not enough fur wind power generation. It seemed that the topographic condition resulted in a significant difference in wind speed. When 600 W and 2.5 kW wind turbines were used, annual power productions were only 186 kWh and 598 kWh, respectively. When the average wind speed is lower, wind pumping is an alternative use of wind. At the experimental station, the average pumping rate of $3m^3/h$ at the head of 3 m was expected at a 2.5 m rotor under the conditions that efficiencies of the rotor and the pump were 40% and 80%, respectively. It did not seem that the wind pumping was not applicable at the station either. A higher wind speed was required to install the wind machines. Meanwhile, wind pumping would be applicable in conditions with lower pumping heads. Other applications were introduced far further wind energy utilization, including wind powered ventilation and friction heat generation in greenhouses.

발전소 온배수 폐열을 이용한 제주 시설온실 냉난방용 열펌프 시스템의 난방성능 평가 (An Evaluation of Heating Performance of the Heat Pump System Using Wasted Heat from Thermal Effluent for Greenhouse Facilities in Jeju)

  • 발전소 온배수의 폐열을 회수하여 인근 농가에 난방 에너지를 공급하는 열펌프 시스템은 기존 난방방식 대비 에너지 사용량을 획기적으로 절감하고 온실가스의 배출을 줄이는 데에 기여할 수 있다. 제주대학교 컨소시움은 한국중부발전 제주화력본부에서 약 3 km의 원거리에 위치하고 있는 시설온실로 냉온수를 공급하기 위한 열펌프 시스템을 구축하였다. 본 논문에서는 열펌프 시스템의 구성과 더불어, 2018년 동절기에 수행된 난방성능 평가 실증운전 결과를 기술하였다. 열펌프 가동운전 시 대부분의 공급열 수송배관 내 담수의 온도강하는 $2^{\circ}C$ 이하로 유지됨을 확인하였다. 난방운전 시 열펌프의 성능계수는 4.0 보다 크며, 온배수를 열원으로 활용하여 최대 $50^{\circ}C$의 온수를 농가로 지속적으로 공급할 수 있음을 입증하였다.

  • A 6-way-cross consisting of a 2.75-inch CF flange was used as a main chamber on a PFEIFFER VACUUM TMP station based on a 67 l / sec turbo molecular pump and a diaphragm pump to produce a magnet array with a volume ratio of 5.5: 1.A 1-inch diameter copper target and graphite target were fabricated using MDX-1.5K from Advanced Energy Industries, Inc as a DC power supply. Ion current density of copper target and graphite target was measured by unbalanced magnetron sputtering. The basic pressure condition was $6.3{\times}10^{-7}mbar$ and the process pressure was Ar 50 sccm at $1.0{\times}10^{-2}mbar$ (7.5 mTorr) in the Ar atmosphere. Therefore, the relative density of copper ions reaching the substrate with the measured ion current density was derived.

Diagnostics of nuclear reactor coolant pump in transition process on performance and vortex dynamics under station blackout accident

  • A mathematical model for the flowrate and rotation speed of RCP during idling was established. The numerical calculation method and dimensionless method were used to analyze the flow, head, torque and pressure and speed changes under idle conditions. Regularity, using the Q criterion vortex identification judgment method combined with surface flow spectrum morphology analysis to diagnose the vortex dynamic characteristics on RCP blade. On impeller blade, there is two oscillations in the pressure ratio on pressure surface in blade outlet region. The velocity on the suction surface is two times more oscillating than the inlet of blade, and there is an intersection with the velocity ratio curve on pressure surface. On blade of guide vane, the pressure ratio increases along the inlet to outlet direction, and the speed ratio decreases with the increase of idle time. There is a vortex that rotates counterclockwise on the suction surface, and the streamline on the suction surface of blade is subjected to the entrainment and blocking action of the vortex creates a large reverse flow in the main flow region. There are two vortices at the outlet of guide vane suction side and the vortices are in opposite directions.

광역상수도 계통의 Pump 운전비용 최소화 (Minimization of Pump Running Cost in the Large-scale Water Supply System)

  • 장거리 용수공급 시스템에서 전력비용은 전체 운영비용의 큰 부분을 차지한다. 본 연구는 시간단위의 펌프와 배수지 시스템의 최적 운영계획을 평가하기 위해 동적계획기법에 기초한 방법론을 제시하고 있다. 해석방법은 운영비용 최소화 관점에서 펌프용량 확대를 전제로 현재 가용 펌프의 효율적 운전과 전력요금체계, 시간별 용수수요 추이 그리고 배수지 특성과 송수관로의 제약조건 등을 고려하였다. 이를 위해 적용 가능한 시스템 운영목적과 제약조건이 제시되었고 개발된 방법은 수도권 광역상수도 양주계통의 2개 가압장과 5개 배수지를 대상으로 적용하였다. 적용결과는 펌프 확장의 경우 상당한 수준의 운전비용을 절감할 수 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 이와 같은 방법은 기존 시스템의 최적운영은 물론 생애주기 비용 최소화 측면에서 신규 용수공급 체계의 설계 등에 적절히 활용될 수 있다.

Modeling and analysis of selected organization for economic cooperation and development PKL-3 station blackout experiments using TRACE

  • A series of tests dedicated to station blackout (SBO) accident scenarios have been recently performed at the $Prim{\ddot{a}}rkreislauf-Versuchsanlage$ (primary coolant loop test facility; PKL) facility in the framework of the OECD/NEA PKL-3 project. These investigations address current safety issues related to beyond design basis accident transients with significant core heat up. This work presents a detailed analysis using the best estimate thermal-hydraulic code TRACE (v5.0 Patch4) of different SBO scenarios conducted at the PKL facility; failures of high- and low-pressure safety injection systems together with steam generator (SG) feedwater supply are considered, thus calling for adequate accident management actions and timely implementation of alternative emergency cooling procedures to prevent core meltdown. The presented analysis evaluates the capability of the applied TRACE model of the PKL facility to correctly capture the sequences of events in the different SBO scenarios, namely the SBO tests H2.1, H2.2 run 1 and H2.2 run 2, including symmetric or asymmetric secondary side depressurization, primary side depressurization, accumulator (ACC) injection in the cold legs and secondary side feeding with mobile pump and/or primary side emergency core coolant injection from the fuel pool cooling pump. This study is focused specifically on the prediction of the core exit temperature, which drives the execution of the most relevant accident management actions. This work presents, in particular, the key improvements made to the TRACE model that helped to improve the code predictions, including the modeling of dynamical heat losses, the nodalization of SGs' heat exchanger tubes and the ACCs. Another relevant aspect of this work is to evaluate how well the model simulations of the three different scenarios qualitatively and quantitatively capture the trends and results exhibited by the actual experiments. For instance, how the number of SGs considered for secondary side depressurization affects the heat transfer from primary side; how the discharge capacity of the pressurizer relief valve affects the dynamics of the transient; how ACC initial pressure and nitrogen release affect the grace time between ACC injection and subsequent core heat up; and how well the alternative feeding modes of the secondary and/or primary side with mobile injection pumps affect core quenching and ensure stable long-term core cooling under controlled boiling conditions.

퍼지제어기법을 사용한 우수배제 펌프의 조작기법 개발 (A New Control Technique of Drainage Pump Based on Fuzzy Control)

  • 불투수성 면적의 증가로 인한 유출량의 증가와 홍수도달시간의 단축은 도시홍수에 의한 피해를 가중시키고 있어 이에 대한 대책이 시급한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 도시홍수의 방재대책중 하나로 우수배제펌프의 조작기법으로 퍼지제어기법을 적용하여 내수배제능력을 검토하였으며, 기존의 수위기준에 의한 펌프조작기준과 비교하였다. 유수지의 유입량을 산출하기 위해 재현기간 10, 30, 50년의 성계호우를 ILLUDAS 모형에 적용하였다. 퍼지제어규칙의 효용성을 검토하기 위해 퍼지제어규칙 1, 2를 설정하여 가상조작한 결과 조작자의 경험이 포함된 퍼지제어규칙에 의한 펌프제어가 실용적인 면을 보였으며, 내수방재면에서 효과가 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다.
