This study aimed to investigate publication productivity in various medical specialties in the top 10 countries with the highest number of published journal articles, considering the distinction between prolific and prestigious journals. For this study, we selected 10 specialties from the Scientific Journal Rankings (SJR) and used journals listed in both SJR and PubMed. Bibliographic details of these journals' articles published from 2017 to 2019 were downloaded from PubMed. The results showed that various aspects of medical publication output were influenced by country characteristics such as specialty, journal type, population size, wealth, and healthcare expenditure. China showed the greatest variability in terms of specialty, as its publications in Oncology (ONCGY) were exceptionally high compared with the specialties of other countries. China's publications in ONCGY exceeded even those of the United States in ONCGY. Furthermore, the western countries, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States in particular published more articles in prestigious journals than the other top 10 countries, where the East Asian countries published more articles in prolific journals than in prestigious journals.
Objectives : The aim of this review was to summarize and assess researches reporting thermal properties of moxibustion. Methods and Materials : We searched one electronic database(PubMed) and two journals(The Journal of Korean Medicine and The Journal of Korean Acupuncture & Moxibustion Society) and for the articles published until Nov. 2012. The articles reporting thermal characteristic of moxibustion were selected and reviewed. 31 articles were included and assessed in this review. The type of moxibustion, the material beneath moxbustion, main outcome and the amount of information were reviewed. The amount of information was defined as 1 for one main outcome reported in each article. Results : Direct moxibustion were used in 15 articles and indirect moxibustion were used in 19 articles. 11 researches used anti-heating plate for the material beneath moxibustion, one article used steel ring, agar with anti-heating plate, six articles used skin and another six articles used heater. Two articles used animals and another two articles used metals. The mean value of the amount of information was $4.41{\pm}2.94$(SD). Conclusions : Research articles assessing properties of moxibustion have been consistently published since 1993, and employed various methodologies. The amount of information has been associated with four section analysis and is currently decreasing. Research assessing properties of moxibustion with clinical effectiveness is needed.

Mendeley reader count is good evidence of the early impact of scientific output since it appears before citations. This paper aims to scope and compare Mendeley readers of Library and Information Science (LIS) articles published from India and China. Mendeley readership data for the highly cited 1,000 articles in Web of Science are extracted using Webometric Analyst for both countries and are analysed using Excel and SPSS. The findings reveal that LIS articles that are published from China got more readers as compared to LIS articles published from India with an excess of 97 readers per paper on Mendeley. The occupational status of readers tells that PhD students are the top readers for both the countries' publications, followed by masters students. Discipline-wise readership shows that readers were spread across 29 different fields, with the highest readers from business, management and accounting, followed by computer science for both countries' publications. Location-wise readership depicts that the top engaged readers are from the United States for both the countries' publications. Finally, the study reports a positive association between citations and Mendeley bookmarks, justifying that Mendeley readership can be used to measure the early research impact of LIS scholarship in both countries.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to analyze the recent research trends in health and mental health literacy and suggest their implications for future research. Methods: Ninety six articles on the topics of health literacy and mental health literacy that were published in journals in Korea during the last 10 years analyzed. Results: The majority of articles were published in medical journals, whereas the articles published in social and natural sciences journals were conducted by multidisciplinary research teams and seemed to be increasing generally. The participants studied in the selected articles were mostly older adults followed by adults aged 18 and over, and other various groups including health professionals and immigrant groups. More than 97% of the articles used quantitative research methods. Conclusions: Health literacy mirrors other health inequalities. To increase the level of understanding of health information, studies should be conducted using various variables. It is also necessary to develop a community education program that can be implemented in the community. Futher, the results highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary research. It is hoped that this effort will help solve t health inequality.

Purpose: The study is developed in order to describe the trends of scientific production of blockchain technologies for sustainability within the supply chains. Research design, data and methodology: This study is developed from the documentary field from the application of bibliometric techniques to analyze the trends of scientific production indexed in the Scopus database, for which processing is carried out in the R and VOS Viewer software. Results: The results show a total of 461 documents, of which 58% of the articles, 17% are conference articles and the remaining 25% are made up of other formats. Conclusions: 78% of the articles are concentrated in the years 2020, 2021 and 2022. India, United Kingdom, China, United States and Italy are the countries where 70% of all the publications were published. 23% of the articles have been published in four journals: Sustainability (Switzerland), Journal of Cleaner Production, Computers and Industrial Engineering and Business Strategy and the Environment. Sarkis, J. is the author with the most published articles with fifteen publications and, finally, 13% of the total publications were concentrated in: Uttaranchal University, Yasar University, Malaviya National Institute of Technology, Centro Di Ricerca Ingegneria e Trasformazioni Agroalimentari and University of Hong Kong.
Background and Purpose: The purpose of this study was investigate statistical validities of previously reported articles that used various statistical techniques such as t-test and analysis of variance. Methods: To analyze the statistical procedures, 66 original articles using those statistical methods were selected from "Korean Journal of Oriental Medicine(KJOM)" published from 1995 to 2007. Results: Twenty-one articles(32%) did not report correct p-values, 33 articles(50%) used mean${\pm}$standard error(mean${\pm}$SE) and 11 articles(l7%) used mean${\pm}$standard deviation(mean${\pm}$SD). Fifty-two articles(95%) of 55 ones which were tested for normal distribution made an error in describing normal distribution. Seventeen articles misused t-test and 12 articles did not carry out the multiple comparison. Conclusions: The training of researchers with clinical statistics or the participation of statisticians in research design will reduce the significant errors in statistical interpretation of the results.

Background: Statistical analysis is essential in regard to obtaining objective reliability for medical research. However, medical researchers do not have enough statistical knowledge to properly analyze their study data. To help understand and potentially alleviate this problem, we have analyzed the statistical methods and errors of articles published in the Korean Journal of Pain (KJP), with the intention to improve the statistical quality of the journal. Methods: All the articles, except case reports and editorials, published from 2004 to 2008 in the KJP were reviewed. The types of applied statistical methods and errors in the articles were evaluated. Results: One hundred and thirty-nine original articles were reviewed. Inferential statistics and descriptive statistics were used in 119 papers and 20 papers, respectively. Only 20.9% of the papers were free from statistical errors. The most commonly adopted statistical method was the t-test (21.0%) followed by the chi-square test (15.9%). Errors of omission were encountered 101 times in 70 papers. Among the errors of omission, "no statistics used even though statistical methods were required" was the most common (40.6%). The errors of commission were encountered 165 times in 86 papers, among which "parametric inference for nonparametric data" was the most common (33.9%). Conclusions: We found various types of statistical errors in the articles published in the KJP. This suggests that meticulous attention should be given not only in the applying statistical procedures but also in the reviewing process to improve the value of the article.
"Journal of Korean Academy of Adult Nursing" has been published since 1989 and more than 330 articles have been published up 2000. We reviewed all the articles published in this journal to analyze the contents and trend of published articles and to find out the way of improvement both in quantity and quality of studies in this area. The results are as follows; 1) Ninety percent of articles were quantitative studies. Experimental design was used in 16.1% and quasi-experimental design was adapted in 73.6% of articles. Qualitative research were 10.3% of total articles reviewed. 2) Only 5.1% of articles described theoretical framework and 73.6% of experimentally designed articles included research hypotheses. 3) Among experimental studies, only one was true experimental studie design. Eighty nine point three persent had descriptive survey method among non-experimental studies. Amog the thirty four qualitative studies, phenomenologic(73.5%), grounded theory(14.7%), and ethnographic (11.8%) design were used. 4) Most of research subject were patients and few healthy people, healthcare worker, and patient family. 5) Psychosocial data collection method which used questionnaire were 53.7% and interview, physical measurement, observation were used in 22.8%, 8.2%, 5.4% of articles respectively. 6) Total number of keywords were 692, and average number of key words per article was 2.2. Health-related keyword was the most frequently used according to four metaparadigm of nursing (human, health, nursing, and environment). Environment related keyword was rarely appeared. The number and quality of nursing research in "Journal of Korean Academy of Adult Nursing" have been improved continuously. It is difficult to find out special trend or characteristics which is unique in this journal because of relatively short history of adult nursing studies. This review study was performed to analyze adult nursing studies only in the view of quantitative aspect, but it is needed to analyse qualitatively to find philosophical or theoretical trend in nursing.
This study was to investigate and identify the trends and the direction of the researches related to the rooftop greening by analyzing the content of the studies published in Korea during the past two decades. Internet search was to collect data for this study, and the articles reviewed are limited to research journals, theses, and doctoral dissertations. The collected articles were then examined for content analysis and classified into several categories according to year, topic, and types of journals. The results showed that the total number of articles published in Korea for the period 1984-2004 was 97. While there was only one article in 1984, the number of articles has increased to 16 in 2000, 20 in 2003, and 16 in 2004 now. According to the analysis of the 97 data, there were 25 master's theses and 3 doctoral dissertations and 69 articles published in journals. Articles about rooftop greening were published most frequently in the Korea Institute of Landscape Architecture(11 articles), followed by Journal of Architectural Institute of Korea(8 articles) and Journal of Korea Society for Environment Restoration(7 articles). The studies regarding the rooftop greening has increased in number since the Ministry of Construction and Transportation made it possible to 10-15 cm shallow depth of soil in rooftop greening in 2000, which was above 100 cm before 2000. The articles examined are classified into four areas of research according to topic. The number of articles in each area is as follows : 57 articles in the field of the technology, 17 in the study of the plan and system, 10 in the case study, and 12 in the plant study, Particularly, the studies concerning technology are subdivided into the five areas and the number of each area is as follows : 25 studies for the plant base, 15 for design plan, 13 for the efficacy of the rooftop greening, 3 for the managing program, and 1 for the relation with buildings. Over the years, the studies for the rooftop greening have increased in number since these studies have made a positive effect on the improvement of the urban ecosystem and on the environment of the city lacking greens. However, the majority of research are for plant and planting base and those researches are not enough to make some effects on the improvement of the environment, it seems necessary to provide some system applicable to the field or to design practical study in order to contribute to the urban environment in Korea.
The Korean society for health education and promotion was established in 1982. The following year, the first journal of the Korean society for health education and promotion was published It has been 20 years since the first journal was published. For the future possibilities of the journal this study examined the annals of the journals and the characteristics of those articles. To do that, 8 variables were chosen: year of publication, volume number, numbers of researchers, types of articles, study field, research subjects, and trends of the study. A great growth has been noticed during the last 20 years. However, it was found that only limited study fields were investigated and the most frequently adopted study subject was a student groups. Most of the studies were carried out for the purpose of providing basic information in their study fields. It is noted that for the next decade the journal should assure the quality of articles.
