There should be a need for measures to build up environmentally friendly transport system with new town for residence being built near metropolitan area. In order to promote the development of station influence area, convenience for public transport users and LRT(Light Rail Transit) construction, request for the speed improvement of urban transit is on the rise for easy access to the metropolitan area. This paper delves into the efficient operation of high speed train suitable for passenger demand estimates, and seeks to ensure integrated transportation system with subway Line 9 following the construction of Gimpo urban railway.

The purpose of this study was to invesitigate the residential satisfaction of households living in super-high rise apartment. The questionnarles were collected from 244 residents living in super-high rise apartment above 20 stories located in Ulsan. Used statistical techniques were frequency, one-way ANOVA. The major findings were as follows: 1) Although the respondents were dissatisfied with super-high rise apartments, they chose present dwelling due to public transportation, easy access to work, and other community facilities. 2) Households who have more educated husband and wife and younger child were less satisfied with current dwelling. 3) The attrative features of super-high rise apartment were interior facilities, exterior environment, and social relations, While the negative features were interior environment, safety, and psychological stability.

The purpose of this paper is to present some main economic factors which influence Gaza Seaport. Without direct access to the international market, the Palestinian economy will continue its dependence on Israeli economy mainly in employment, transport facilitation, and international trade. The greatest potential for Palestinian economic growth lies in trade. The port is important for creating new job opportunities, and for enhancing exporting capabilities, which are the most essential elements for development of the Palestinian economy. Israeli policies and procedures incur Palestinian exporters additional transportation costs when delivering their products to Israeli Ports or when transit these products to neighboring countries through Israeli controlled area. The public profit for the port is greater than the private profit. Therefore, constructing the port will have a great effect on the Palestinian economy. There are many challenges facing the port, some of them are the political stability, the economies of scale, and Israeli security measures and procedures.

Based on a complete understanding research in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), the Intelligent Transport Systems rapidly build up innovative applications to ensure real time attainment as well remote management of driven information, provide a huge range of services and involve many actors in automotive ecosystem. In this paper, we present an intelligent cloud computing for handling data received from traffic sensing technologies. Transportations technologies applied in ITS have played a great role in collecting data from devices deployed in vehicles and highway infrastructures utilizing broadband wireless technologies to the Cloud. In order to facilitate the interested in automotive industry to use data collected and afford services to the car's owner, a scalable acquisition, access to computing resources and offered services are the primary goal of the proposed cloud computing.

In Seoul, several railway depots are located at the places where a public can easily access. Since a depot occupy a large amount of land itself, it is natural to use those sites for a public building construction such as an apartment complex or a transportation terminal, as an example. Most of the buildings on a depot, however, are exposed to vibration problems, because foundations are excited from the dynamic loading whenever heavy trains pass on the track. Severe vibration may cause a damage to building structures and a troublesome to a community. In this paper, some vibration practices have been examined in order to resolve the vibration problems. First, a critical speed of a train in a railway depot is evaluated. Then, a structural effect on the transmission of a vibration energy has been investigated. Finally, practical approaches to reduce the vibration level have been proposed. In this first half part of the paper, the focus has been on the critical speed and a structural transmission phenomena.

It is very important to make a decision for locating public facility site in a objectively way people in general agree with. This is because public facility affects not only daily life of people in there but also a regional development. This paper sets up a site selection model which utilize an accessibility theory and GIS spatial analysis techniques. This model has been applied to all the twelve alternatives of Chungnam Provincial Office (CPO) sites which are well known to the public. On the criterion of average access time from all the other areas in Chungnam Province, CH alternative is found to be the best one followed by CH/AS, AS alternatives. On the basis of total people-travel time CH/AS alternative turns out to be the best one followed by CH, AS alternatives. In conclusion top three best locations for CPO are CH and AS area where transportation facility are in good condition and population density is highest in Chungnam Province. This fact implies that a transportation accessibility and population density are the primary key in determining the location of public facility.

In regard to the growth and development of Innocity from improvements in Innocity settlement environment, this research examines the level of satisfaction of Innocity settlement environment to propose a political implications. We deduced the main cause of settlement environment satisfaction by performing logistic regression on the public institution employees level of satisfaction in respect to 4 Innocity characteristics?six physical properties, three social properties, five facility properties, three economical properties?and three general questions. As a result, the greatest factor of settlement environment was physical properties, such as natural environment and scenery, residential environment, availability of diverse uses in the surrounding area, and access to public transportation. In addition, social characteristics (relationships with neighbors), and facilities (availability of industrial, research and educational facilities) were also significant. This research provided political implications for future Innocity settlement environment improvements despite limiting factors such as residents' perception and limited surveyed sites.

본 논문에서는 웹(World Wide Web)에서 사용자가 손쉽고 편리하게 이용할 수 있는 멀티미디어 대중교통 안내시스템 개발 경험을 소개한다. 개발된 시스템은 클라이언트와 서버 시스템, 경로탐색 시스템, 교통정보 저장 시스템, 노선 및 정류장 관리 시스템으로 구성되어 있다. 클라이언트에서 작동되는 사용자 인터페이스는 직관적으로 이해가 쉽고, 사용이 편리하며 인터액티브한 멀티미디어 대중 교통안내 서비스를 제공한다. 서버 시스템은 교통정보 수집 시스템으로부터 입력되는 데이타와, 경로탐색 시스템, 교통정보 저장 시스템과 연동되어 클라이언트의 요구사항을 처리하고 그 결과를 사용자에게 돌려준다. 수정된 A* 알고리즘을 이용하는 경로탐색 시스템은 최적경로를 탐색하며, 교통정보 저장 시스템은 현재 교통상황, 정류장, 노선, 지도 등의 정보를 저장한다. 노선 및 정류장 관리시스템은 시스템 관리자가 노선 또는 정류장 관리를 서버 화면의 지도상에서 효율적으로 수행할 수 있는 도구이다. 본 논문에서 다루는 대중교통 안내시스템은 Java로 구현하였기 때문에 확장과 이식이 용이하며, 시스템 유지보수 비용이 적게 드는 장점을 가지고 있다. 그리고, 웹 브라우저가 동작되는 환경에서는 어디서나 쉽게 접근이 가능하며 향후 구축될 Intelligent Transportation Systems(ITS)의 한 모듈로써 바로 작동될 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 현재 인터넷상에서 제공되는 다양한 서비스와도 연동이 가능하다.Abstract This paper introduces our experience for developing a public transportation guidance system, which facilitates the World-Wide Web(WWW) to provide users with easier access and use. The proposed system is composed of four subsystems: client/server system, path search system, traffic data storage system, and traffic raw-data management system. The user interface in clients utilizes Java to furnish users with multimedia data accessibility and interactivity. The server processes clients' requests based on the traffic data coming from remote sensing devices and interacts with the path search system and traffic data storage system to provide users with the results. The path search system, which uses a modified A* algorithm, produces optimal solutions based on dynamic traffic data. The traffic data storage system stores the current traffic information together with the geographical information about the b$us_way routes. The traffic raw-data management system is a graphical user interface which enables the system manager to handle the traffic information easily on the map in the terminal screen. The system has considerable benefits such as portability, scalability, and flexibility since it is implemented using Java. Also, it can be extended to an integrated Intelligent Transportation Systems(ITS) which includes a variety of information on the Internet as well as traffic information.n.

The purpose of this study was to assess adequately equipped with convenience facilities for the disabled in 160 healthcare institutions in Jongno district, Seoul. Healthcare institutions were equipped an average of 3.7 facilities out of 10. General hospitals had an average of 5.0 facilities, which was higher than an average of 3.6 facilities for private clinics (p<0.05). Of 160 healthcare institutions, only 13 (8.1%) offered easy access to the outpatient setting from the entrance for wheelchair users, highlighting difficult wheelchair access within hospitals. To provide easy access to medical service for the disabled, more accessible designs need to be adopted as part of the effort to improve public facilities for the disabled. Also, universal designs could be applied for newly constructed roads, structures and transportation vehicles to maximize accessibility for the disabled. Increased accessibility for the disabled in the community will eventually increase the use of healthcare institutions.
