  • With cloud storage services, users can handle an enormous amount of data in an efficient manner. However, due to the widespread popularization of cloud storage, users have raised concerns about the integrity of outsourced data, since they no longer possess the data locally. To address these concerns, many auditing schemes have been proposed that allow users to check the integrity of their outsourced data without retrieving it in full. Yuan and Yu proposed a public auditing scheme with a deduplication property where the cloud server does not store the duplicated data between users. In this paper, we analyze the weakness of the Yuan and Yu's scheme as well as present modifications which could improve the security of the scheme. We also define two types of adversaries and prove that our proposed scheme is secure against these adversaries under formal security models.

  • Recently, numerous certificateless encryption (CLE) schemes have been introduced. The security proofs of most schemes are given under the random oracle model (ROM). In the standard model, the adversary is able to calculate the hash function instead of asking the challenger. Currently, there is only one scheme that was proved to be secure in SM. In this paper, we constructed a new CLE scheme and gave the security proofs in SM. In the new scheme, the size of the storage space required by the system is constant. The computation cost is lower than other CLE schemes due to it needs only two pairing operations.

  • An aggregate signature scheme is a digital signature scheme that allows aggregation of n distinct signatures by n distinct users on n distinct messages. In this paper, we present an aggregate signcryption scheme (ASC) that is useful for reducing the size of certification chains (by aggregating all signatures in the chain) and for reducing message size in secure routing protocols. The new ASC scheme combines identity-based encryption and the aggregation of signatures in a practical way that can simultaneously satisfy the security requirements for confidentiality and authentication. We formally prove the security of the new scheme in a random oracle model with respect to security properties IND-CCA2, AUTH-CMA2, and EUF-CMA.

  • Fairness of exchange is a significant property for secure online transactions, and a fair exchange scheme is a useful tool for ensuring the fairness of exchanges conducted over networks. In this paper, we propose an ID-based optimistic fair exchange scheme based on the RSA function, one which is designed by combining a well-known RSA-based signature scheme and the (naive) RSA function. Note that the main contribution of this paper is to give the first provably secure ID-based fair exchange scheme based on the RSA function, whose security can be proved under fully formalized security models. Our scheme has the following additional strongpoints. The scheme is setup-free; hence, there is no registration step between a user and an arbitrator. Moreover, the proposed scheme is designed in an ID-based setting; thus, it is possible to eliminate the need for certificates and avoid some related problems.

  • Session initiation protocol (SIP) is a kind of powerful and common protocols applied for the voice over internet protocol. The security and efficiency are two urgent requirements and admired properties of SIP. Recently, Hamed et al. proposed an efficient authentication and key agreement scheme for SIP. However, we demonstrate that Hamed et al.'s scheme is vulnerable to de-synchronization attack and cannot provide anonymity for users. Furthermore, we propose an improved and efficient authentication and key agreement scheme by using elliptic curve cryptosystem. Besides, we prove that the proposed scheme is provably secure by using secure formal proof based on Burrows-Abadi-Needham logic. The comparison with the relevant schemes shows that our proposed scheme has lower computation costs and can provide stronger security.

  • Equipped with the advantages of flexible access control and fine-grained authentication, attribute based signcryption is diffusely designed for security preservation in many scenarios. However, realizing efficient key evolution and reducing the calculation costs are two challenges which should be given full consideration in attribute based cryptosystem. In this paper, we present a key-policy attribute based signcryption scheme (KP-ABSC) with delegated computation and efficient key updating. In our scheme, an access structure is embedded into user's private key, while ciphertexts corresponds a target attribute set. Only the two are matched can a user decrypt and verify the ciphertexts. When the access privileges have to be altered or key exposure happens, the system will evolve into the next time slice to preserve the forward security. What's more, data receivers can delegate most of the de-signcryption task to data server, which can reduce the calculation on client's side. By performance analysis, our scheme is shown to be secure and more efficient, which makes it a promising method for data protection in data outsourcing systems.
