유리 기판위에 제작된 PVP 게이트 절연막의 전기적 특성

  • 유기박막트랜지스터(organic thin film transistor, OTFT)의 게이트 절연막으로 PVP(poly-4-vinylphenol) 물질을 이용하여 MIM (metal-insulator-metal) 구조의 캐패시터 소자를 제작하였다. 유기 절연층의 형성은 ITO/Glass 기판 위에 PVP를 용질로, PGMEA(propylene glycol monomethyl ether acetate)를 용매로 사용하였다. 또한 열경화성 수지인 poly(melamine-co-formaldehyde)를 사용하여 cross-linked PVP 절연막을 합성하여 스핀코팅법으로 소자를 형성하였다. 제작된 소자에 대해 절연막 두께에 따른 전기적 특성을 조사한 결과 300 nm 에서 500 nm로 두께가 증가할수록 누설전류는 10.69 nA 에서 0.1 nA 로 크게 감소하였다. 또한 캐패시터 소자의 정전용량은 300 nm 의 두께에서 1.05 nF 으로 500 nm 의 두께에서의 0.65 nF 과 비교하여 보다 양호한 특성이 나타났다.

Microstructures of Crystalline Silicon Thin Film using Silicon Nanoink (실리콘 나노잉크를 이용한 결정질 실리콘 박막의 미세구조)

  • 실리콘 나노잉크를 이용한 프린팅 공정을 적용하여 결정질 실리콘 박막을 제조하였으며, 다양한 공정조건에 따른 박막의 특성을 연구하였다. 기존의 실리콘 박막형 제조 기술은 고가의 진공프로세스이므로, 비진공 프린팅 공정의 대체를 통하여 박막 태양전지의 제조원가를 획기적으로 절감할 수 있다. 실리콘 나노입자는 저온 플라즈마를 사용하여 합성하였으며, 스핀코팅 (spin coating), 드롭핑 (dropping), 딥핑 (dipping) 등의 프린팅 공정을 이용하여 단결정 실리콘 웨이퍼 위에 박막을 형성하였다. 사용된 실리콘 나노입자는 10 ~ 50 nm 의 크기와 단결정 구조를 갖는다. 이러한 실리콘 나노입자는 Propylene Glycol 용매에 분산시켜 하부기판에 프린팅 하였다. 이렇게 증착된 나노입자들은 $600{\sim}1000^{\circ}C$의 온도와 다양한 분위기에서 열처리되어 고밀도화 되었다. 제조된 실리콘 박막의 물성 분석은 SEM, EDX, 그리고 X-ray 회절 측정을 통하여 수행되었다.

  • The present study has been conducted to predict the temperature distribution in the core of the scraper type ice generator. The analytic model was simplified as the flow in the annular type cylinder, which had an inside wall moving in axial direction due to the rotation of screw and a fixed outside wall. The governing equations were arranged by the method of separation of variables. The results corresponded to the exact solutions of the Bessel function. The qualitative results such as general characteristics of heat transfer in annulus flow from outer cylinder wall to the inside wall were obtained. However the amount of the heat transfer was underestimated as low as $1/5{\sim}1/6$ of the designed value.

Synthesis of Blue-green Naphthoxy, Chloro Derivative Zinc-phthalocyanines with LCD Requirements

  • Here we designed and synthesized new zinc phthalocyanines and structures were fully confirmed by spectral and elemental analysis. All phthalocyanines have a very good solubility in industrial solvents like chloroform, dichloromethane, dimethyl sulfoxide, N,N-dimethyl formamide, propylene glycol monomethyl ether acetate (PGMEA), acetone, tetrahydrofuran and acetonitrile. UV-Visible absorption and transmittance in PGMEA showed that these dyes have suitable spectral properties for LCD color filters. By Triton X surfactant study, we confirmed that these dyes are not showing any aggregation in PGMEA. We dissolved the all phthalocyanines in LCD fabricating solvent (PGMEA), and all phthalocyanines showed more than 8 wt% of solubility. Finally, all of these results concluded that PCK1, PCK2 and PCK3 are fit for LCD green color filter.

  • This article presents a new nonlinear joint (state and parameter) estimation algorithm based on fusion of Kalman filter and randomized unscented Kalman filter (UKF), called Kalman randomized joint UKF (KR-JUKF). It is assumed that the measurement equation is linear. The KRJUKF is suitable for time varying and severe nonlinear dynamics and does not have any systematic error. Finally, joint-EKF, dual-EKF, joint-UKF and KR-JUKF are applied to a CSTR with cooling jacket, in which production of propylene glycol happens and performance of KR-JUKF is evaluated.

  • Polycrystalline CdS film have been prepared by coating a slurry constiting of CdS, CdCl2, various amount of InCl3 and propylene glycol on glass substrate and by sintering in a nitrogen atmosphere, and their sintering behaviors, electrical properties and optical properties have been investigated. As the amount of InCl3 increases, the enhancing effect of CdCl2 on sistering decreses resulting in a sharp decrease in optical transmittance and an increase in electrical resistivity. The carrier concentration is almost independent of InCl3 added due to the occurrence of chlorine doping and to the compensating effect of indium dopant. Microstructure an optical properties of CdS film, which contain CdCl2 and InCl3 before sintering, can be improved by sintering in a sealed boat.

  • Polycrystalline CdS films have been prepared by coating a slurry, which consisted of CdS, 11w% CdCl$_2$ and appropriate amount of propylene glycol, on glass substrate and glass substrate coated with indium tin oxide(ITO) followed by sintering in a nitrogen atmosphere. CdTe slurries consisting of Te powder and Cd powder were coated on the sintered CdS films and ITO/CdS films and were sintered in nitrogen to prepare sintered CdS/CdTe and ITO/CdS/CdTe solar cells. The value of fill factor increased due to low series resistance and open circuit voltage decreased due to low shunt resistance in the ITO/CdS/CdTe solar cells.

  • Polycrystalline $Cd_{1-x}Zn_xS$ films were prepared by coaling a slurry which consisted of CdS, ZnS, $CdCl_2$ and propylene glycol on gloss substrates and by sintering in a nitrogen atmosphere. Microstructures, optical transmittance and electrical resistance of the sintered films have been investigatd. Grain shape of $Cd_{1-x}Zn_xS$ films sintered in a sealed boat was nearly spherical but the shape became, irregular when sintered in evaporating condition due to occurrence of CIGM (Chemically Induced Grain-boundary Migration). Controlling the rate of evaporation of $CdCl_2$, sintered $Cd_{1-x}Zn_xS$ films with high optical transmittance and low electrical resistance could be obtained.

The Conversion of Jatropha Oil into Biodiesel Using Acid / Alkali Catalysts (산 / 알칼리 촉매를 사용한 자트로파유의 바이오디젤화)

  • The esterification of free fatty acid in Jatropha oil added by propylene glycol using p-TSA catalyst was done, and then the transesterification of Jatropha oil added by 1.0vol% GMS as an emulsifier using TMAH, and mixed catalyst(60wt%-TMAH+ 40wt%-KOH) respectively was followed at $60^{\circ}C$. The esterification conversion at the 1:8 molar ratio of free fatty acid to methanol using 8.0wt% p-TSA was 94.7% within 60min. The overall conversion at the 1:8 molar ratio of Jatropha oil to methanol and $60^{\circ}C$ using mixed catalyst was 95.4%. The kinematic viscosity of Biodiesel using TMAH and mixed catalyst in 24h met the ASTM D-6751 above $30^{\circ}C$, and showed a little more than its criterion.

Studies on Volatile Compounds Formed in Heating Reaction between Leucine or Isoleucine and Glucose (Leucine 또는 Isoleucine과 Glucose간의 가열 반응에서 생성된 휘발성화합물에 관한 연구)

  • Leucine and isoleucine were reacted with glucose in a propylene glycol solution and volatile compounds produced from these reaction were analysed by gas chromatography and mass spectrometry. A total of 24 compounds were identified in the leucine reaction volatiles and the major components were 2-isopropyl-5-methyl-2-hexenal, methylbutyraldehyde PGA, butyraldehyde PGA, 5-methylfur-fural, isopropylmethylhexenal PGA and 2-acetylpyrrole. From the isoleucing reaction volatiles, 20 compounds were identified and the major components were methylbutyraldehyde PGA, butyraldehyde PGA and 2-acetylpyrrole. The amino acids chosen for this study were considered as giving fruity and cocoa aroma when heated with glucose.
