It is well known that Grain-oriented electrical steel sheets have two dimensional magnetic properties according to the direction of exciting field such as non-linear phase difference between magnetic flux density and magnetic field intensity vectors, different iron loss and permeability even when an alternating magnetic field is applied. The measurement and application of the two dimensional magnetic properties of the Grain-oriented electrical steel sheets, therefore, are very important for the design and precise performance analysis of electric machines made of them. As the direction of exciting field changes, in this paper, the two dimensional magnetic properties of a Grain-oriented electrical steel sheet, i.e., non-linear B-H curves, phase difference between B and H, and iron loss characteristics, are measured using SST(Single Sheet Tester) which has two axes excitation. The measured results are presented in two ways: using $(B,\theta_B)$ method and using hysteresis loops along rolling and transverse directions, respectively.

The absorption coefficient and backscattering properties of phytoplankton were calculated from the Mie theory. Given a simple case that phytoplankton and mineral particles are the only constitutions in seawater, the reflectance $b_b({\lambda})/[a({\lambda})+b_b({\lambda})]$was analyzed. Then the chlorophyll concentrations were estimated from remote sensing OC2 algorithm. The results show that reflectance in short wavelength region is more sensitive to the Chl variation; High mineral concentrations in seawater have significant influence on the reflectance spectrum; the existence of high mineral concentration may result in the mistake in chlorophyll estimation from OC2 algorithm.

In this paper, we prove some coincidence point theorems involving ${\varphi}-contraction$ in ordered partial metric spaces. We also extend newly introduced notion of g-comparability of a pair of maps for linear contraction in ordered metric spaces to non-linear contraction in ordered partial metric spaces. Thus, our results extend, modify and generalize some recent well known coincidence point theorems of ordered metric spaces.

The notion of effective transport property of a heterogeneous medium implies that the medium is large enough that the ergodic theorem holds and local fluctuation of the property can be neglected. In case that the medium is not large enough compared to its characteristic microstructure length scale, the effective property fluctuates and differs from the value of the medium being large enough. As a representative transport phenomenon, diffusion was considered and the fluctuation of varying effective diffusion property, diffusion coarseness $C_k$, was defined as a quantifying parameter. Scaled effective diffusion property, $^*$>/k$_1$ and $C_k$ were computed for the two phase random media consisting of matrix of diffusion coefficient k$_1$ and spheres of diffusion coefficient k$_2$. Numerical simulations were performed by use of the so-called first passage time technique and data were collected for existing microstructure models of hard spheres(HS), overlapping spheres(OS) and penetrable concentric shells(PCS).

The theoretical model for the transient probe method is the modified Jaeger model which is used perfect line source theory. The transient probe technique has been developed for the simultaneous determination of thermal conductivity, diffusivity and volumetric heat capacity of liquids. The Levenberg-Marquardt iteration method is adapted to obtain thermal property within nonlinear range. Experimental results of liquids were found to agree well with recommended thermal property data.

A sufficient condition for an Artinian complete intersection quotient S = 𝕜[x, y]/(x^m, yⁿ), where 𝕜 is an algebraically closed field of a prime characteristic, to have the strong Lefschetz property (SLP) was proved by S. B. Glasby, C. E. Praezer, and B. Xia in [3]. In contrast, we find a necessary and sufficient condition on m, n satisfying 3 ≤ m ≤ n and p > 2m-3 for S to fail to have the SLP. Moreover we find the Jordan types for S failing to have SLP for m ≤ n and m = 3, 4.

The dynamic material property of Mn-B ally high-strength steel is investigated through the rod impact test which is one of simple test methods for the analysis of the material behavior under high-strain-rate. Rod impact test is performed to produce the deformed shape of rod and analyzed by the one-dimensional theory based on conservation law and the two-dimensional hydrocode AUTODYN-2D. The dynamic yield stress is determined and compared with the static yield stress to investigate the strain-rate sensitivity of Mn-B alloy high-strength steel.
