The purpose of this study was to analyze the situations and satisfaction of fashion design education in Busan, and the way to promote it. Data were collected from 192 college(university) students and 185 vocational students living in Busan and analysed by frequency analysis, factor analysis, Cronbach's $\alpha$, multiple regression, and t-test. The results are as follow; 1. Factor analysis has extracted three factors: environmental factors, student factors and quality of education factors. 2. The biggest factor that affects the satisfaction level of the education fumed out to be the student factors, followed by the environmental factors. 3. Demonstrated that vocational students were more satisfied with their education and had a higher degree of pride and confidence in their educational factors and level of satisfaction than college(university) students. In conclusion, we must encourage the industrial-educational corporation to promote the practicality of the fashion design education system and make diversification and specialization of the curriculum of fashion design education to cultivate students of talent.

To promote recommendation services through prediction quality, some privacy-preserving collaborative filtering solutions are proposed to make e-commerce parties collaborate on partitioned data. It is almost probable that two parties hold ratings for the same users and items simultaneously; however, existing two-party privacy-preserving collaborative filtering solutions do not cover such overlaps. Since rating values and rated items are confidential, overlapping ratings make privacy-preservation more challenging. This study examines how to estimate predictions privately based on partitioned data with overlapped entries between two e-commerce companies. We consider both user-based and item-based collaborative filtering approaches and propose novel privacy-preserving collaborative filtering schemes in this sense. We also evaluate our schemes using real movie dataset, and the empirical outcomes show that the parties can promote collaborative services using our schemes.

Despite the high efficiency of nuclear power plant, people in Korea do not give approvals and supports the facilities because the risk of the accidents and incidents. In particular, the low level of safety culture is a crucial mechanism that damages the robustness of the NPP. By considering the various definitions of safety culture and analyzing the major reasons of incidents, the conceptual safety culture model is made by using Causal Loop Diagramming. For sustaining development of nuclear power, social supports, incentives and organizational learning are needed. It also requires the coordination of work schedules and the expansion of human resource for protecting the rules and procedures in NPP. Decommissioning aging nuclear power plants will prevent a serious accident. In order to promote the safety culture, Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Corporation should disclose more information to the public and promote the internal and external communications.

Recently laws have been enacted to build and promote the use of smart grid. There are also increasing demands for the compliance with international trade agreements and the related international standards. Due to these rapid changes in electric power industry and the market expansion, importances of new technologies and processes have been being increased. To reflect these international trends, the government have carried out the designation of new technology for electric power industry to promote domestic industries and national competitiveness by inspiring technology developments in individual or private industry sectors. In this paper analysis of the current status of the designation of the new technology of electric power has been presented including its problem and effect on the related industries. The analysis is expected to be utilized to enhance sound development and to vitalize the electrical new technology regulation.

Of interest to second language researchers and classroom teachers today is whether and in what wats formal instruction can promote the development of appropriate use of the target language. Most formal instruction is closely related with the use of textbooks in ESL classrooms, so this study focuses on ESL textbooks. In order to learn to communicate successfully, students should use textbooks which specify the rules of language use for the community in which they are operating. This study examines the speech acts of compliment across 8 middle school English textbooks published in Korea. This study analyses the speech acts of compliment according to the following criteria : 1) vocabulary - adjective, verb, intensifier 2) sentence pattern 3) social strategy - invitation to talk, greetings, farewells, expression of gratitude, etc. 4) types of response. As a result of this study some suggestions is giver to promote the development of appropriate use of English through English textbooks.

HPV type-specific detection may promote cervical screening program and vaccination development worldwide. We conduct a study comparing HPV Hybrid capture II (HC II) Test and Hybribio GenoArray test, a newly developed HPV type-specific assay, in patients with cervical epithelial neoplasm. Results showed a good concordance in cervical HPV detection between two tests (kappa value 0.80, p<0.05, McNemar test). Our study may promote utilization of type-specific HPV detection that is helpful for cervical cancer screening and vaccination.

Science, technology, society and humanities (STSH) fusion research is aimed at creating new research areas and methods that can resolve complicated issues in society that cannot be solved by a single academic discipline. This study identifies initiatives that can promote STSH fusion research in Korea. We review the definition and characteristics of STSH fusion research to analyze the necessity of STSH fusion research with a focus on the structural changes in the S&T environment. The emergence and diffusion of generic technologies, transition to post catch-up innovation mode, and the evolution of policy to the third generation innovation policy are identified as notable changes. This paper briefly reviews the status of fusion research underway and presents initiatives to promote STSH fusion research.

The need for a system to promote the effectiveness of national R&D investment has become an important issue. Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information(KISTI) is developing National Science and Technology Information System(NTIS) to meet this need. For the consistency of IT strategy and to promote more effective IT investment the NTIS have been established Information Technology Architecture (ITA). NTIS is the system for coordination outcomes of each R&D centers. This case study's contents are the process of NTIS ITA establishment, the major contents and the effectiveness of NTIS ITA.
