  • In this paper the decomposition of basic equations of $(LCS)_n$-manifolds is carried out into horizontal and vertical projections. Further, we study the integrability of the distributions $D,D{\oplus}[{\xi}]$ and $D^{\perp}$ totally geodesic of semi-invariant submanifolds of $(LCS)_n$-manifold.

한국산 Janiralata 속 등각류의 1신종 (A New Species of the Genus Janiralata (Crustacea, Isopoda, laniridae) from Korea)

  • A new species of ianirid isopod from a subtidal bottom in the Korea Strait is described and illustrated under the name of Juniralata koreuensis. This species is characterized by the cephalon lacking a distinct rostrum and prominent antero-lateral expansions, the pleotelson lacking postero-lateral projections, and the male pleopod 1 having a nipple-shaped lobe on lateral apex.

온라인 연속 필기 한글의 인식을 위한 내부 문자 분할에 관한 연구 (An Internal Segmentation Method for the On-line Recognition of Run-on Characters)

  • In on-line character recognition, to segment input character is important. This paper proposes an internal character segmentation algorithm. The internal segmentation algorithm produces candidate words by considering possible combinations of Korean alphabets. In this process, we make use of projections of strokes onto the horizontal axis to remove ambiguities among candidate words. As a result of experiments, the internal segmentation algorithm shows better performance than external segmentation algorithm as the gap between sample characters becomes smaller.

  • The standing waves of the fourth bending mode of vibration and first longitudinal mode of vibrator were utilized to construct a ultrasonic linear motor. The geometrical dimensions of the vibrator were determined by Euler-Bernoulli theoty. FEM(finite element method) employed to calculate the vibration mode of the metal-piezoceramic composite thin plate vibrator. ANSYS was used to design positions of the projections and calculate displacement of vibrator.

  • This paper proposes a method for producing smooth and positive estimates of the intensity function of an inhomogeneous Poisson process based on the shrinkage of wavelet coefficients of the observed counts. The information projection is used in conjunction with the level-dependent thresholds to yield smooth and positive estimates. This work is motivated by and demonstrated within the context of a problem involving gamma-ray burst data in astronomy. Simulation results are also presented in order to show the performance of the information projection estimators.

  • In this paper, we shall consider some properties of the metric projection as a set valued mapping. For a set G in a metric space E, the mapping 𝜋G; x → 𝜋G(x) of E into 2G is called set valued metric projection of E onto G. We investigated the properties related to the projection PS(·)(·) and 𝜋S(·)(·) as one-sided best simultaneous approximations.

  • We establish a characterization theorem of elliptic paraboloids in the (n+1)-dimensional Euclidean space 𝔼n+1 with extrinsic properties such as the (n+1)-dimensional volumes of regions enclosed by the hyperplanes and hypersurfaces, and the n-dimensional areas of projections of the sections of hypersurfaces cut off by hyperplanes.

투사 및 허프 변환 방식에 의한 연속 영상상의 비행체 궤적 추적 (Hough Transform Based Projecton Method for Target Tracking in Image Suquences)

  • 본 논문은 레이돈(Radon) 변환식으로부터 유도된 투사 근거 허프(Hough) 변환 방식을 사용하여 시간연속 영상상의 이동물체의 궤적을 추정하는 기법을 제안한다. 이때 이동비행물체는 시간연속되는 각 영상 프레임에 몇 개의 화소로 나타나며 그 궤적은 삼차원 직선으로 간주한다. 근래에 제시된 방법들은 합성영상 입단일 궤적도면을 여러 종류의 허프변환 방식을 사용하여 그 궤적을 추정하여 왔으나 본 논문의 방식은 시간연속 영상을 여러 방향에서 투사하여 얻어지는 이차원적 비행체 궤적 지식을 효과적으로 비행체 궤적 재구성에 이용함으로 비행체 탐지 능력은 물론 궤적 추정 능력을 향상하였다. 아울러 투사 근거 허프 변환방식을 평가, 사정하기 위하여 영상 공간의 소음 등으로 야기된 투사 공간상의 허프 파라미터의 추정 error를 분석, 유도하였다. HiCamps라 명칭된 실제 적외선 시간연속 영상 데이타를 대상으로 시뮬레이션한 결과 비행체 궤적 추정이 아주 낮은 SNR 에서도 가능함을 보여준다.
