A study on the optimal conditions for machining accuracy when endmill fillet cutting at the corner (코너부 모깍기 엔드밀가공시 가공정밀도의 최적조건에 관한 연구)

  • Endmill fillet cutting at the corner was conducted with the online measurement of cutting forces and tool deflection by a tool dynamometer and an eddy current sensor system. The profile of the machined surface was also compared with the CAD profile with a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and CALYPSO software. It was found that the end mill cutter with four blades has a better surface profile than that with two blades, and the cutting forces and tool deformation were increased as the cutting speed was increased. When the tool located at the degree $45^{\circ}$ corner was found to conduct the maximum cutting force than started to the point of the workpiece. As it was compared with the CMM and ANOVA analysis result in the case that the cutting force and tool deformation was the maximum, it was found that the result was affected by the spindle speed and the number of blades.

  • The essential tasks to operate the welding robot are the acquisition of the position and/or shape of the parent metal. For the seam tracking or the robot automation, many kinds of contact and non-contact sensors are used. Recently, the vision sensor is most popular. In this paper, the development of the system which measures the profile of the welding part is described. The total system will be assembled into a compact module which can be attached to the head of welding robot system. This system uses the line-type structured laser diode and the vision sensor It implemented Direct Linear Transformation (DLT) for the camera calibration as well as radial distortion correction. The three dimensional shape of the parent metal is obtained after simple linear transformation and therefore, the system operates in real time. Some experiments are carried out to evaluate the performance of the developed system.

  • Cam mechanisms are one of the most popular devices for generating irregular motion and are widely used in many industrial areas. The purpose of this study is the development of high precision measuring system fur measurement data acquisition and analysis of a manufactured cam profile. The developed system is composed of servo motor, CNC controller, rotary encoder, and laser interferometer And also, this system is non-contact measuring type. The developed system takes only 5 minutes to measure a cam profile and to analyze the measuring data while the CMM(coordinate measuring machine) takes about 1 hours even by a skilled operator.

Optimal Motion Control of 3-axis SCARA Robot Using a Finite Jerk and Gain Tuning Based on $LabVIEW^{(R)}$ ($LabVIEW^{(R)}$ 기반 3축 스카라 로봇의 유한 저크 및 게인 동조를 이용한 최적 모션 제어)

  • This paper presents the optimal motion control for 3-axis SCARA robot by using $LabVIEW^{(R)}$. Specifically, for optimal motion control of 3-axis SCARA robot, we study velocity profile based on finite jerk(the first derivative of acceleration) and optimal gain tunig based on frequency response method by using $LabVIEW^{(R)}$. The velocity optimization with finite jerk aims at generating the smooth velocity profile of robot. Velocity profile based on finite jerk is acquired and applied to 3-axis SCARA robot by using $LabVIEW^{(R)}$. DSA(Dynamic Signal Analyzer) for frequency response method is programed by using $LabVIEW^{(R)}$. We obtain the bode plot of transfer function about 3-axis SCARA robot by using DSA, and perform the gain tuning considering dynamic characteristic based on the bode plot. These experiments have shown that the proposed motion control can reduce vibration displacement and response error rate each 33.7% and 51.7% of 3-axis SCARA robot.

  • Longitudinal deformation profile(LDP) has been obtained mostly by numerical analysis. In this study, LDP was plotted by measured data from horizontal inclinometer and crown settlement. Deformation of foe ahead was determined by comparing to the maximum deformation point and deformation of after excavation was determined by regression of the measured crown settlement data. The result shows that crown deformation began as f3r as 3D ahead of the face. Crown settlement at the face was 40% of ultimate deformation, which was 10% higher than numerical results, and the deformation converged after excavation of 4D.

  • The relative composition of $Cu(InGa)Se_2$ solar cells is one of the most important measurement issues. However, quantitative analysis of multi-component alloy films is difficult by surface analysis methods due to severe matrix effect. In this study, quantitative depth profiling analysis of CIGS films was investigated by secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS). The compositions were measured by SIMS using the alloy reference relative sensitivity factors derived from the certified compositions and the total counting numbers of each element. The compositions measured by SIMS were linearly proportional to those by inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) using isotope dilution method. In this study, the quantification measured by ICP-MS method is compared with the composition calculated by SIMS depth profiles with AR-RSFs obtained from the reference. The SIMS depth profile of CIGS thin films according to the manufacturing condition was converted into compositional depth profile.

  • The paper represents the effects of the drive-in process parameters on the residual stress profile of the p+ silicon film. For the quantitative determination of the residual stress profiles, the test samples are doped via the fixed boron diffusion process and four types of the thermal oxidation processes and consecutively etched by the improved process. The residual stress measurement structures with the different thickness are simultaneously fabricated on the same silicon wafer. Since the residual stress profile is not uniform along the direction normal to the surface, the residual stress is assumed to be a polynomial function of the depth. All of the coefficients of the polynomial are determined from the deflections of cantilevers and the displacement of a rotating beam structure. As the drive-in temperature or the drive-in time increases, the boron concentration decreases and the magnitude of the average residual tensile stress decreases. Also, near the surface of the p+ film the residual tensile stress is transformed into the residual compressive stress and its magnitude increases.

Physicochemical characteristics and volatile profile of novel lemon varieties, Minimon and Jeramon

  • Although most lemons are imported into Korea, their consumption is increasing. Development of domestic varieties of Jeramon and Minimon is currently underway in an effort to meet the increasing demand for fresh lemons. In this study, an analysis of the physicochemical characteristics of Jeramon and Minimon, including their flavor components and antioxidant properties, was conducted. The results revealed that these new varieties of Korean lemon can be regarded as good sources of antioxidants and phytochemicals. Compared to Sunkist, the most consumed lemon variety in Korea, Minimon contained more than twice as much β-cryptoxanthin, and the content of L-ascorbic acid was more than three-four-fold higher in both Minimon and Jeramon. In addition, results from measurement of DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging activities indicated that Jeramon extract exhibited the highest antioxidant activity. In the volatile profile analysis, the profiles of volatile components showed high similarity among the three lemon samples, and the composition ratio was largely dominated by terpenoids. A markedly higher ratio of d-limonene and thymol was detected in the Minimon variety compared with that in the other two varieties. Collectively, the findings from this study on Korean lemon varieties provide a basis as well as valuable guidance for breeding domestic lemon varieties.

A Study on the Tower type Fizeau Interferometer System with a Fold Minor for Measuring Large Optical Lens Profile (반사경 측정을 위한 타워 방식의 Fold Mirror를 이용한 Fizeau 간섭계 시스템 구성)

  • Fizeau interferometer is used for inspecting the lens surface profile accurately. This study is focused on the design and optical measuring techniques for large optical components, such as a reflection mirror for large area lithography or astronomical purpose. A tower type Fizeau interferometer is designed and set up in horizontally with a 45$^{\circ}$ fold mirror which makes easy to align the optical path of heavy interferometer system. To align the optical path, a five-axes stage for the interferometer is required. This study shows a method of the 45$^{\circ}$ fold mirror alignment by using a three-axis stage instead of adjusting the interferometer itself or measuring object. This system will be installed on the large optics polishing machine during the manufacturing process as an on-machine inspection system.

  • 본 논문에서는 3 축 기계장비의 공간오차를 예측하기 위한 사전 단계로 각 축에 대하여 레일형상오차를 측정하였다. 전용 측정지그를 설계/제작하여 이 지그가 이동함에 따라 혼합축차이점법을 이용하여 레일형상오차를 측정하였다. 레일형상오차로부터 테이블 운동오차를 예측하고, 이와 더불어 각 축 사이의 직각도 오차를 측정한 후 이로부터 최종적으로 3 축 장비에 대한 공간오차를 평가할 예정이다. 예측된 공간오차는 실제 레이저를 이용한 공간오차 측정방법을 이용하여 검증할 예정이다.
