사서직 계속교육 동향 분석 - 온라인교육과 역량기반 교육을 중심으로 - (Trends in the Online Continuing Professional Development for Librarians and Applications of Professional Competencies)

  • 본 연구에서는 온라인교육과 역량기반 교육을 중심으로 사서직 계속교육의 국내외 동향을 분석하였다. 현재 국내 사서 계속교육 프로그램의 70% 이상이 온라인교육방식으로 수행되고 있었고, 주로 온라인 코스웨어 형태의 표준화된 콘텐츠가 동영상으로 제작되어 반복 활용되고 있는 것으로 파악되었다. 반면, 미국과 호주에서는 주로 웨비나 등 쌍방향 커뮤니케이션이 가능한 이러닝 방식을 사용하여 도서관 안팎의 최신 이슈를 다양한 교육강좌로 구성한 비표준화된 콘텐츠가 활용되고 있었다. 또한 최근 주목할 동향으로 미국, 영국, 호주 등 해외에서 전문직 역량기준에 기반하여 계속교육을 제공하려는 시도들이 파악되었다. 따라서 국내에서도 기 개발된 사서직 역량기준들을 계속교육에 접목시킴으로써 체계적인 교육프로그램을 운영할 것이 요청된다. 본 연구에서 분석한 해외 모범사례들은 향후 국내 온라인 계속교육 프로그램을 현장의 계속교육 수요와 요구에 부응하며 현장사서들의 역량을 강화시키는 방향으로 개선하는데 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • 대학부설 평생교육기관은 성인교육의 기회를 확대하고 대학의 교육적 기능을 사회에 환원한다는 취지하에 전국 각 대학에서 활성화 되고 있으나, 평생교육기관에서 시행되고 있는 직업능력개발 프로그램은 대학의 인프라를 활용한 교육과 질적 수준을 공유하지 못하고 있어 정규교육으로 인정되지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 기존 평생교육원의 문제점을 탈피하여 대학의 질 높은 교육의 공유를 통한 재직자 직업능력개발 프로그램을 개발하고, 이를 활용하여 대학생들이 방학 중에 직업능력개발을 위한 최신기술교육 프로그램에 재직교원과 같이 참여하는 교육과정의 효과를 분석하였다. 교육에 참가한 대학생 설문조사를 통하여 제안된 교육 형태의 교육적 효과를 확인하였고, 향후 직업능력개발 프로그램과 접목된 미래 공학교육의 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

응급의료종사자가 인식하는 병원 내 응급구조사의 이미지 (대전, 충남 3차의료기관 중심으로) (Images of Hospital Emergency Medical Technicians Perceived by Emergency Medical Service Providers (Focusing on tertiary medical institutions in Daejeon and Chungcheongnam do))

  • 본 연구는 대전 충남 소재 3차 의료기관에서 근무하는 응급의료종사자(의사, 간호사) 122명을 대상으로 병원 내 응급구조사의 이미지를 조사하였다. 병원 내 응급구조사의 이미지를 향상시키기 위한 기초 자료를 제공하고자 연구를 실시한 결과, 이미지는 $3.27{\pm}0.34$점이었다. 영역별로는 전문적 이미지가 가장 높았고, 역할 이미지가 가장 낮았다. 문항별로는 '의사와 우호적 관계를 유지하고 있다.'가 가장 높았고, '잘난 체하고 업무 수행을 소홀히 한다.'가 가장 낮았다. 병원 내 응급구조사의 이미지를 더욱 향상시키기 위해서는 응급구조사가 환자와 동료에게 진정성 있는 태도로 일관해야하며, 전문직으로서 직업의식을 고취시키고, 응급구조사의 고유 업무와 역할을 충실히 해내야 할 것이다. 또한 전문 직업인으로서의 이미지를 구축할 수 있도록 협회 차원의 홍보와 대책이 마련되어져야 할 것이다.

간호교육기관의 교육목적 및 교육목표에 대한 토픽 모델링 (Educational goals and objectives of nursing education programs: Topic modeling)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to understand the keywords and major topics of the educational goals and objectives of nursing educational institutions in South Korea. Methods: From May 10 to May 20, 2022, the educational goals and objectives of all 201 nursing educational institutions in South Korea were collected. Using the NetMiner program, degree and degree centrality, semantic structure, and topic modeling were analyzed. Results: The top keywords and semantic structures of educational goals included 'respect for human (life)-spirit-science-based on, global-competency-professional nurse-nursing personnel-training, professional-science-knowledge-skills, and patients-therapeutic care-relationship.' The educational goals' major topics were clients well-being based on science and respect for human life, a practicing nurse with capabilities and spirit, fostering a nursing personnel with creativity and professionalism, and training of global nurses. The top keywords and semantic structures of the educational objectives included 'holistic care-nursing-research-action-capability, critical thinking-health-problem solving-capability, and efficiency-communication-collaboration-capability.' The educational objectives' major topics were 'nursing professionalism, communication and problem-solving capability; a change of healthcare environments and a progress of nursing practices; fostering professional nurses with creativity and global capability; and clients' health and nursing practice.' Conclusion: Educational goals in nursing presented specific nursing values and concepts, such as respect for human life, therapeutic care relationships, and the promotion of well-being. Educational objectives in nursing presented the competencies of nurses as defined by the Korean Accreditation Board of Nursing Education (KABONE). Recently, the KABONE announced new program outcomes and competencies, which will require the revision of educational goals. To achieve those educational objectives, it is suggested that the expected level of competencies be clearly defined for nursing graduates.

  • 철도는 다른 수송수단에 비하여 많은 인원과 물류를 안전, 신속, 정확하게 운송 할 수 있는 기간산업으로, 매우 중요한 시설이다. 현재 철도시설을 담당하는 전문 인력의 수가 부족하여 철도신호기술사 확보가 시급히 요구되고 있다. 이에 철도신호기술사고시를 준비하는 사람은 많은 반면, 접근방법을 몰라 어려움을 느끼고 있다. 본 논문은 지난 15년간 기 출제된 시험문제와 최근 5년간의 문제에 대한 출제경향 및 철도관련 교육기관의 교과목을 조사, 분석하였다. 분석결과를 토대로 철도신호기술사고시를 준비하는 수험생으로 하여금 쉽게 자격취득 과정에 접근할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였으며, 또한 철도관련 교육기관의 교과목 중, 철도신호기술사 자격취득을 위한 필수교과목을 선별 제시하였다.

인천지역 집단급식소의 식용유 소비실태 (Consumption of Edible Oil Food Service Institutions in Inchon)

  • Consumption of edible oil at food service institutions in Inchon was surveyed to provide basic data for continuous education of dietitians. Manufacturing industry was the major food service institution(78.8%) in Inchon followed by schools, hospitals and social welfare service centers. Most dietitians were at the age of twenties and college graduates with professional careers of 1-5 years. Oil was purchased on the basis of its quality within 1-3% of total food costs four times a month. Proper frying temperature was determined by dropping salt or food coating materials into the oil. Soybean oil was the most frequently used and commercial frying mix powder and flour and eggs in water were the most common food coating materials. Fish and commercial frozen foods were the most frequently used materials for frying. Fried foods were stored with covers in a basket and consumed within 30 minutes after cooking. Frying oils were used one more time after filtering and color was the index for determination of re-use.

  • 연구관리 전문기관은 정부부처와 연구수행기관간의 중간자적 역할을 담당하는 기관으로 연구수행기관으로부터 수집되는 연구기록물은 연구과제의 증거적 능력뿐 아니라 연구과제의 지식 정보 공유 차원에서도 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 연구관리 전문기관에서 수집하는 핵심 연구기록물의 현황을 알아보고 문제점을 분석하여 효율적인 핵심 연구기록물의 관리 개선 방안을 제시하였다.

  • The article is devoted to the research and search for effective pedagogical technologies. The definitions of "innovation", "technologicalization", "pedagogical technology" are analyzed. "Innovative pedagogical technology". The blocks that make up the innovative processes in education are studied. The importance and role of innovations in education (vocational education) are clarified. The components of pedagogical technology are studied: conceptual, content-procedural and professional. The signs of classifications of pedagogical technologies are investigated. The stages of evolution of the definition of "pedagogical technology", as well as the levels of its application in pedagogical science are highlighted. Criteria of manufacturability and signs of pedagogical technology are investigated.The algorithm for the analysis of pedagogical technology is investigated: identification of technology; name of technology; conceptual principles; the content of education; activity characteristics; organizational and methodological support of the educational process. Pedagogical technologies that should be implemented in vocational education institutions are analyzed.

  • Occupational health and safety (OHS) is a broad field of professional practice, which involves specialists from different disciplines including but not limited to engineers, occupational health physicians, physical and biological scientists, economists, and statisticians. The preventive systems required to ensure workers are protected from injuries and illnesses dwell heavily on engineers; however, the extent to which the engineer can go regarding planning and implementing preventive measures is dependent on specific legal requirements, leadership commitment from the company, organization, and nation. The objective of this paper is to identify the areas of opportunities for improvements in OHS management in Ghana with regard to the nation's legal requirements, commitment of the Ghana government, and Ghanaian leadership as well as appropriate structuring of Ghanaian institutions responsible for monitoring and managing OHS in Ghana. This paper identified Ghana's fragmented legal requirements concerning OHS, which are under different jurisdictions with unclear responsibilities and accountabilities. The paper also highlights the training needs of Ghanaian academic institutions regarding OHS. Among other recommendations made including structuring of Ghanaian institutions to manage OHS in line with the ILO-OSH 2001, this paper aligns the recommendations with the articles and elements of International Labour Organization convention number 155 and OHSAS 18001 elements.

Role of Dental Institutions in Tobacco Cessation in India: Current Status and Future Prospects

  • Tobacco abuse is a major preventable cause of premature death and disease, including various cancers. The Global Adult Tobacco Survey India (GATS) 2009-10 revealed that more than one-third of adults use tobacco in one form or the other. Nearly two in five smokers and smokeless tobacco users made attempts to quit the habit in the past 12 months. Tobacco dependence is a chronic condition characterized by susceptibility of relapse over years. It can be well handled by sustained professional support from health care providers mainly through behavioral counseling and pharmacotherapy. Dental professionals can play a pivotal role in diagnosing and effectively managing tobacco dependence. Dental Institutions have rapidly grown in last two decades across the country and so has the curriculum been adapted to improve student competencies to accommodate changing disease patterns and technological advances, but not in regard to tobacco cessation. Untapped dental manpower like undergraduates, dental hygienists and other paramedical staff need effective training to be more penetrative. The present review paper explores the potential role of dental training institutions and recommends various approaches to counter public health jeopardy of tobacco related diseases.
