In this paper, we examine the relationship between information type and new product development process. Information that was provided for new product development can be divided into two categories. One was relative information that could be used as a basis for comparison such as patent data. The other was absolute information that must be fulfilled in the new product such as key customers requirements. An experiment was conducted with staffs in an R&D department in order to analyze the impact of the different information types on the development process of new product. It was found that the group with the absolute information recognized the given information repeatedly, which in turn results in a highly technical idea with good teamwork. The group with the relative information created a superior product with better application, appearance and product efficiency through the frequent refinements of given ideas. This paper concludes with the implications of the results to the new product development process and supporting information systems.
Modularity has merits in modifiability of product structure management and product arrangement. This feature helps consumer to expand the selection of products and to get customized products. Also consumers are drive satisfaction and reduce a post-purchase dissonance from role in a 'prosumer'. But expanding product's alternative would cause the overload confusion by rising complexity of information handling. Purpose of the study is to verify how interaction about option size and personal disposition are effected consumer's overload confusion. For this purpose we deducted 3 personal dispositions 'Regulatory focus', 'Product familiarity', 'Self-efficacy' that presented lead to potential effect of personal information handling by previous research. By statistical inquiry prevent focus group had perceived more overload confusion than promotion focus group in an expanding option size circumstances. And low Product familiarity and Self-efficacy group had perceived more overload confusion than high Product familiarity and Self-efficacy group in a expanding option size circumstances.

Bill of material (BOM), which structurally represents the relation among parts constructing a product, is usually created when enterprises start to develop a new product. And it is shown as various types of BOM according to business needs and usage such as eBOM (engineering BOM), gBOM (green BOM), mBOM (manufacturing BOM), pBOM (process BOM), etc. eBOM, generally called BOM and created in the design stage of the new product, includes the drawing information of parts in the view of product function. eBOM is extended to gBOM adding the material information of parts to cope with international regulations for environment. eBOM is transformed to mBOM, which includes manufacturing sequence of parts and adds some parts required to fabricate parts and to assemble the product. mBOM is also extended to pBOM adding the process information of each part and additional assembly processes. This study introduces the concept of multi-BOM covering eBOM, gBOM, mBOM and pBOM, and proposes an advanced way to manage product data using multi-BOM system. The multi-BOM system proposed is to manage their relations using transformation function of BOM and master information of all BOMs.

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between gender, gift recipient, and group identity by product category of Korean consumers. 672 usable questionnaires from South Korea completed a self- administered survey with a five-point Likert scale. This questionnaire evaluated the perceived importance of group identity when buying apparel and electronics as a gift for kin, nonkin, and co-workers. The interaction between gender, gift recipient, and group identity were statistically significant. The results suggest that the importance of group identity may vary when gender and gift recipient differ by product category. Recommendations for future research are discussed.
The main findings are as follows: First, both male and female group, image display was showed higher scores than the product display in the dimensions of 'interest' and 'impression, and the product display presented higher scores than the image display in the dimensions of 'information'. Second, in the dimensions of 'interest', more interest was demonstrated in image display for both male and female consumer group irrelevant to clothing shopping values. The pleasure pursuit consumer group of male and female presented more interest toward the both types of window display. Third, in the dimensions of 'information', the product display had more effect for both sex groups and the pleasure pursuit consumer group was seeking more information than the others groups through the window display. Fourth, in the dimensions of 'impression', the image display formed stronger impression and image for both male and female consumer group and the pleasure pursuit group showed higher score of impression formation than the other two groups.

This study was attempted to examine consumers' pursuing benefits and satisfaction at outlet store, to analyze the differences of pursuing benefits and satisfaction at outlet store among the consumer groups segmented by the pursuing benefits, and to provide useful information for establishment of marketing strategies. The subjects were 500 female consumers experienced in purchasing clothes at outlet non. For analysis of questionnaires, $\chi$$^2$-test, ANOVA, cluster analysis, factor analysis, and Duncan's multiple range test were performed. The results were as follows: 1. Pursuing benefits at outlet store were composed of 6 factors: store's atmosphere, variety of products and brands, service and reputation of store, product quality, location's convenience, and price. Consumers were segmented into three groups by above 6 factors: product pursuing group, store convenience pursuing group, and price pursuing group. 2. Satisfaction at outlet store was composed of 5 factors: product, atmosphere, service and reputation of store, location convenience, and price. Satisfaction at outlet store such as service and reputation of store, location's convenience, and price were significantly different among the segmented groups. Product pursuing group was most satisfied with service and reputation of store, store convenience pursuing group was most satisfied with location's convenience and price, and price pursuing group was most satisfied with price. 3. The demographic variables such as an age, marriage, occupation, academic background, and total income were significantly different among the segmented groups.

Proper consumer segmentation is receiving more attention from industry professionals as markets become more diverse and consumer-centered. Researchers have recognized the limitations of the traditional cluster analysis technique and this research study analyzes market segmentation using Mixture-model or latent-class segmentation. This study used a questionnaire to determine the characteristics of clothing shoppers using a new technique that proved its superiority over traditional techniques. Questions included items measuring fashion shopping behavior, store choice criteria, apparel consumption styles, price perception by product type, and demographic characteristics. Data were collected from 1074 males and females in their 20s and 30s through an online survey. SPSS 16.0 and Latent GOLD 4.0 were used to analyze the data. The ideal typology of clothing shoppers using the Mixture-model were: 'brand loyalty orientated group', 'group of conservative late 30s', 'group of pleasure-emotion early 20s', 'value oriented consumer product with high-income group', 'group of eco/symbol oriented consumer', and 'group of utility/goal oriented male consumer'. This study showed differences in fashion product purchasing behavior by conducting market segmentation for clothing shoppers using the Mixture-model.
Purpose - This study investigates whether the effectiveness of self trait-advertisement versus communion-focused advertisement on product evaluations depends on a type of pride felt as ambient emotion. It also explores whether the mediating roles of cognitive and affective response to the effect of the advertisement type on product evaluation are moderated by types of pride such as hubristic pride or authentic pride. Research Design, Data, and Methodology - This research uses a restaurant service as the experimental object and employs a 2 (pride type: hubristic pride vs. authentic pride) × 2 (advertisement type: self trait-focused advertisement versus communion-focused advertisement) between-subjects design, with cognitive response and affective response as within-subject. Each experimental group consisted of 40 undergraduate students assigned to participate in the experiment. One questionnaire from the authentic pride and self-trait focused advertisement group and two questionnaires from the hubristic pride and communion-focused advertisement group were removed due to answer errors, resulting in a participant number of 157. The author conducts a 2 (pride type: hubristic pride vs. authentic pride) × 2 (advertisement type: self trait-focused advertisement versus communion-focused advertisement) ANOVA on advertised product evaluations, and to better understand the interaction effects, also conducts separate analysis of the hubristic and the authentic pride groups. Additionally, the study conducts mediated moderation analysis to check the mediation role difference of the cognitive response and the affective response to each advertisement on the interaction effects on product evaluations between the hubristic and the authentic pride groups. Results - The findings indicate that participants in the hubristic pride group more positively evaluate the product in self-trait focused advertisement, whereas participants in the authentic pride group more positively evaluate the product in communion-focused advertisements. In addition, the mediating role of cognitive response on the positive interaction effect of advertisement type and pride type on product evaluation is partially moderated by the pride type. However, the mediating role of affective response on the positive interaction effect of advertisement type and pride type on the product evaluation is not moderated by the pride type. Conclusions - The results of this study contribute to advertisement theory development by exploring interaction effects of ambient pride type and advertisement type on product evaluation, as well as to the theory of consumer behavior by exploring how pride type moderates the mediating roles of cognitive response on the positive interaction effect of advertisement type and pride type on product evaluation. From the perspective of the current research, advertisers should research what kinds of events consumers have experienced to increase the effectiveness of their advertisements, and use self-trait advertisements when consumers are grouped under ambient hubristic pride, and use communion-focused advertisements when consumers are grouped under ambient authentic pride. However, future research is necessary to discover the reasons why the mediating role of affective response to advertisements in the interaction effects of pride type and advertisement type on product evaluation is not moderated by pride type.
For an outer action $\alpha$ of a finite group G on a factor M, it was proved that H is a, normal subgroup of G if and only if there exists a finite group F and an outer action $\beta$ of F on the crossed product algebra M $\times$$_{\alpha}$ G = (M $\times$$_{\alpha}$ F. We generalize this to infinite group actions. For an outer action $\alpha$ of a discrete group, we obtain a Galois correspondence for crossed product algebras related to normal subgroups. When $\alpha$ satisfies a certain condition, we also obtain a Galois correspondence for fixed point algebras. Furthermore, for a minimal action $\alpha$ of a compact group G and a closed normal subgroup H, we prove $M^{G}$ = ( $M^{H}$)$^{{beta}(G/H)}$for a minimal action $\beta$ of G/H on $M^{H}$.f G/H on $M^{H}$.TEX> H/.
