  • As a computerized application for controlling enterprise processes, BPM(Business Process Management) has been received such concerns that many solution vendors developed their own process definition and storage methods. The fact causes the needs of process modeling standards for process model exchange and at the same time, requires the appropriate methodology for adopting the global standards. In this paper, we propose a transformation methodology of BPMN-based file into XMI(XML Metadata Interchange)-based neutral file format. We devised translation templates for 21 workflow patterns, and compared the results with BPEL4WS(Business Process Execution Language for Web Services) translation. As a result, our XMI transformation model enables more complete translation of process model in comparison with existing model, and thus can be practically utilized to the BPM vendors adopting BPMN standards.

  • It analyzes the quality of the fine aggregate which is reproduced through a dry production process with cyclone and a wet production process. The conclusions of the study are as follows. 1. The recycled fine aggregate through the dry production process with cyclone shows the low rate of absorption and impurity content after the cyclone process. It shows that its density is 2.37, absorption rate is 4.8 and stability is $5.1\%$ and less. Therefore, it satisfies the standards of KS F 2573(recycled aggregate for concrete) as the first grade. 2. The recycled fine aggregate through the wet production process shows the low rate of absorption and foreign substance content after the process of wash and dehydration. It shows that its density is 2.40, absorption rate is 3.12 and stability is $3.2\%$ and less. Therefore, it satisfies the standards of KS F 2573(recycled aggregate for concrete) as the first grade.

  • In this study, the changes in collection efficiencies due to the time changes of activated carbons were ascertained, and in order to identify the magnitude of adsorption, the before-use and after-use iodine adsorption values were analyzed. In addition, as a result of examining the characteristics of continuous process and non-continuous process and as a result of investigating whether the emission standards would be maintained, the continuous process and printing facilities were seen as not being able to maintain the emission standards. Also were found, in the case of non-continuous process,-taking into consideration the special nature of the job -for 4${\o}$ palletized charcoal, a collection efficiency near 50% was shown even after 96 hours. Also, when the inlet concentration was about 300ppm, it is thought that the emission standards would be maintained if the activated carbons are replaced within at least 96 hours in the case of 4${\o}$ palletized charcoal and the use was deemed pointless in the case of carbon. The results of this study are expected to provide assistance in selecting replacement periods for activated carbons and in selecting absorbents at the project sites, and are expected to be of significant help in the selection of precipitators that can collect total hydrocarbons for compliance of the emission standards.

  • When a system or service is realized, it needs to be verified by requirements. The process of verification is to check whether customers/stakeholders requirements have been property transformed into a system or service. A set of verification processes is described in the international or industrial standards. However, it is not appropriate to directly apply those verification processes in the national research and development projects. In particular, we noticed the problem in the development of safety systems, standards and process in the railway systems domain. As such, this paper is concerned with a detailed development of the verification process in that domain. Specifically, an effective and efficient verification process is presented regarding the safety systems and process, safety standards, and safety documents. Also, the verification process was modeled by a computer-aided systems engineering tool, Cradle(R). As a result, the outcomes of the verification process on be managed efficiently.

  • In the usual dry etching process for the TFT-LCD fabrication, it is hard to monitor the basic plasma parameters such as density and temperature. However, the basic parameters are easily monitored during the dry etching process. We have simultaneously measured the electric characteristics and basic plasma parameters of the dry etching chamber during the process, analyzed them to interpret plasma parameters. For the Ar plasma discharge case, we could obtain the density and temperature from the electric characteristics using a simple simple sheath model.

  • In this paper, we investigate the requirements of QPA(Quality Process Audit), which is a process quality audit system for secondary defense contractors, compared with those of DQMS(Defense Quality Management System). And evaluate whether the deployment of QPA meets the DQMS certification requirements through the case example of Company H. The evaluation items of QPA are composed of five categories such as Material Management, Incoming Inspection, Manufacturing Process, Product Evaluation, and Packaging Management. The QPA requirements are mainly related to the chapter 7(support) and chapter 8(operation) of DQMS standards. In this view point, QPA can be expected as an effective audit for suppliers preparing for DQMS certification. In the case example, we evaluate the results and effects of improvement due to QPA and compare it with the case of DQMS. QPA can be used as appropriate quality management standards of secondary and tertiary defense contractors and can provide the basis guidelines for the preparation of implementation steps in DQMS certification.

  • Medical devices separated by a committee of the International Electrotechnical Commission IEC TC (Technical Committee) 62 medical electrical equipment being promoted by the International standards. Actually, a lot of standards were existed, but many national and international standards for medical devices were lacking in practical standards that can be applied to their development. Most international standards were focused in electrical and mechanical safety of medical devices. Therefore, there were few practical standards which contain essential performance evaluation. Although medical device regulations do not enforce a fixed lifecycle model, activities are presented in a sequential manner, thus hinting at a waterfall process. Meanwhile, for a decade or more, software teams have benefitted from agile development methods. Several medical device manufacturers have adopted agile practices while keeping development in compliance with regulations, but conflicts arise and decisions have to be taken in favor of agility or formality. However, if there are new practical standards of medical devices, it must be possible to promote the medical devices industry in their nation. To do this, there is a need to develop a new standard could apply to the international market through the analysis of the medical device related technology. Consequently, new standards such as NP (New proposal) or NWIP (New Work Item Proposal) should be developed through international standardization of medical device technology.

  • As the size and complexity of software increases, it is important to ensure the quality of software through testing. Many organizations refer to international standards or test process models to improve the quality of software through establishing a systematic test process. However, these standards and process models provide general processes that do not reflect the characteristics of the domain or the organization's test policies and strategies. To establish a test process that reflects the characteristics of the organization, test policies and strategies based on the organization's quality objectives and the organizational and domain characteristics should be reflected. This study proposes specific methods for eliciting activities and information to establish organizational software test policies and strategies that are essential to establishing a test process that reflects the characteristics of the organization and the system.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate how the curriculum, in which pre-service teachers experience mathematical process and develop assessment items and standards through the process experience in a mathematical essay course, affects the pre-service teachers and suggest its implications for teacher education. Fourty nine pre-service teachers, registered at a mathematical essay course in a K university in Seoul, developed mathematical essay problems and their assessment standards, and their developed processes were analyzed. According to the analysis results, first, mathematical essay problems developed by the fifty students reflect components of mathematical processes. Especially, one characteristic in revising assessment items shows that pre-service teachers considered not only justification process through different levels of difficulty and mathematical reasoning, but also logical descriptions through problem solving, when they worked on group discussions and examined middle school and high school students' responses. Second, while pre-service teachers developed rubrics for their assessment items and revised the rubrics based on students' responses, they established assessment standards which employed mathematical process by focusing on problem solving process rather than results and considering students' unexpected problem solving. The results imply a concrete method in planning and executing a mathematical essay course which makes use of mathematical process in teacher education.
