  • Mobile shopping goes beyond the level of a tool that simply supports consumers' shopping in-store and creates a new level of experience for consumers through offline connection. It is important to acquire new customers in order to gain a competitive advantage through mobile shopping, but it is more important to maintain a continuous transaction relationship with the secured customers. Existing mobile shopping-related studies can be largely classified into three categories such as a study on the characteristics of mobile consumers, a study on the characteristics of a mobile shopping mall, and a study on the characteristics of mobile shopping itself. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the impact of perceived value, perceived risk, and innovativeness on trust in mobile shopping. In order to investigate the impact of perceived value, perceived risk, consumer innovativeness on the trust in mobile shopping, consumers who have experience in purchasing products through mobile were investigated. The data collected in this study were verified the reliability and validity of the measurement items based on the measurement validation process. In this study, regression analysis was performed by selecting perceived value, perceived risk, innovativeness as independent variables, and trust as dependent variables. As a result of the analysis, perceived value, innovativeness had a positive impact on trust and perceived risk had a negative impact on trust. As a result of analysis, three hypotheses were supported. Finally, implications of the research are presented, and limitations and directions for future research are described.

  • The monitoring of environmental information (e.g. noise, dust, vibration, temperature, humidity) is crucial to the safe and sustainable operation of a construction site. However, commercial sensors exhibit certain drawbacks when applied on-site. First, the installation cost is prohibitively high. Second, these sensors have been engineered without considering the rugged and harsh conditions of a construction site, resulting in error-prone sensing. Third, construction sites are compelled to allocate additional resources in terms of manpower, expenses, and physical spaces to accommodate individual sensors. This research developed an integrated sensing module to measure the environmental information in construction site. The sensing module slashes the installation cost to 3.3%, is robust enough to harsh and outdoor sites, and consolidates multiple sensors into a single unit. The sensing module also supports GPS, LTE, and real-time sensing. The evaluation showed remarkable results including 97.5% accuracy and 99.9% precision in noise measurement, an 89.7% accuracy in dust measurement, and a 93.5% reliability in data transmission. This research empowers the collection of substantial volumes and high-quality environmental data from construction sites, providing invaluable support to decision-making process. These encompass objective regulatory compliance checking, simulations of environmental data dispersion, and the development of environmental mitigation strategies.

  • Nuclear forensics has been understood as a mendatory component in the international society for nuclear material control and non-proliferation verification. Radiochronometry of nuclear activities for nuclear forensics are decay series characteristics of nuclear materials and the Bateman equation to estimate when nuclear materials were purified and produced. Radiochronometry values have uncertainty of measurement due to the uncertainty factors in the estimation process. These uncertainties should be calculated using appropriate evaluation methods that are representative of the accuracy and reliability. The IAEA, US, and EU have been researched on radiochronometry and uncertainty of measurement, although the uncertainty calculation method using the Bateman equation is limited by the underestimation of the decay constant and the impossibility of estimating the age of more than one generation, so it is necessary to conduct uncertainty calculation research using computer simulation such as Monte Carlo method. This highlights the need for research using computational simulations, such as the Monte Carlo method, to overcome these limitations. In this study, we have analyzed mathematical models and the LHS (Latin Hypercube Sampling) methods to enhance the reliability of radiochronometry which is to develop an uncertainty algorithm for nuclear material radiochronometry using Bateman Equation. We analyzed the LHS method, which can obtain effective statistical results with a small number of samples, and applied it to algorithms that are Monte Carlo methods for uncertainty calculation by computer simulation. This was implemented through the MATLAB computational software. The uncertainty calculation model using mathematical models demonstrated characteristics based on the relationship between sensitivity coefficients and radiative equilibrium. Computational simulation random sampling showed characteristics dependent on random sampling methods, sampling iteration counts, and the probability distribution of uncertainty factors. For validation, we compared models from various international organizations, mathematical models, and the Monte Carlo method. The developed algorithm was found to perform calculations at an equivalent level of accuracy compared to overseas institutions and mathematical model-based methods. To enhance usability, future research and comparisons·validations need to incorporate more complex decay chains and non-homogeneous conditions. The results of this study can serve as foundational technology in the nuclear forensics field, providing tools for the identification of signature nuclides and aiding in the research, development, comparison, and validation of related technologies.

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between workplace bullying and defensive silence/acquiescent silence, and to examine a mediation model of job burnout. Design/methodolgy/approach - The survey questionnaires were distributed to 974 employees of a public R&D institute, financial industry, and public officials in Daejeon and Chungnam, and a total of 322 surveys were collected. 288 valid responses were used for the final data analysis using SPSS 21.0 and Amos 22.0. Descriptive statistics were used to identify demographic characteristics of the sample. Reliability analysis of the measurement was conducted using Cronbach's alpha coefficient, and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was performed to check the validity of the measurement. Hierarchical regressions were used to examine the relationship between the variables including the moderating effect of job calling. The mediating effect of job burnout and the moderated mediation effect of job calling was analyzed using bootstrapping with PROCESS Macro installed on SPSS 21.0. Findings - The findings of the study are as follows: First, workplace bullying had a significant positive effect on both defensive silence and acquiescent silence. Second, workplace bullying had a significant positive effect on job burnout. Third, job burnout had a significant positive effect on both defensive silence and acquiescent silence. Fourth, job burnout significantly mediated the relationship between workplace bullying and defensive silence, and between workplace bullying and acquiescent silence. Research implications or Originality - The results of this study show that workplace bullying is an important variable that must be managed, because workplace bullying leads to job burnout that can hinder the performance improvement and innovation activities of the organization, which in turn leads to organizational silence. On the other hand, in the research model, the job calling was used as a moderating variable to alleviate the positive effect of workplace bullying and job burnout on the defensive and acquiescent silence, but there was no significant moderating effect. In addition to the job calling, which is the moderating variable used in this study, it is judged that it is necessary to consider specific measures to prevent members from reaching job burnout and reduce silent behavior by investing appropriate job resources such as supporting colleagues, supervisors and leadership in the workplace.

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the results for the quality assurance through a statistical analysis on the output characteristics of linear accelerators belonging to Yeungnam University Medical Center by using the Shewhart-type chart, Exponentially weighted moving average chart (EWMA) chart, and process capability indices $C_p$ and $C_{pk}$. To achieve this, we used the output values measured using respective treatment devices (21EX, 21EX-S, and Novalis Tx) by medical physicists every month from September, 2012 to April, 2014. The output characteristics of treatment devices followed the IAEA TRS-398 guidelines, and the measurements included photon beams of 6 MV, 10 MV, and 15 MV and electron beams of 4 MeV, 6 MeV, 9 MeV, 12 MeV, 16MeV, and 20 MeV. The statistical analysis was done for the output characteristics measured, and was corrected every month. The width of control limit of weighting factors and measurement values were calculated as ${\lambda}=0.10$ and L=2.703, respectively; and the process capability indices $C_p$ and $C_{pk}$ were greater than or equal to 1 for all energies of the linear accelerators (21EX, 21EX-S, and Novalis Tx). Measured values of output doses with drastic and minor changes were found through the Shewhart-type chart and EWMA chart, respectively. The process capability indices $C_p$ and $C_{pk}$ of the treatment devices in our institution were, respectively, 2.384 and 2.136 for 21EX, 1.917 and 1.682 for 21EX-S, and 2.895 and 2.473 for Novalis Tx, proving that Novalis Tx has the most stable and accurate output characteristics.

  • Near infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) was applied to determination of the lipid content of the compost during the compost fermentation of tofu (soybean0curd) refuse. The absorption of lipid observed at 5 wavelengths, 1208, 1712, 1772, 2312 and 2352 nm on the second derivative spectra. To formulated a calibration equation, a multiple linear regression analysis was carried out between the near-infrared spectral data and on the lipid content in the calibration sample set (sample number, n=60) obtained using Soxhlet extraction method. The value of the multiple correlation coefficient (R) was 0.975 when using the wavelengths of 1208 and 1712 nm were used in the calibration equation. To validate the calibration equation obtained, the lipid content in the validation sample set (n=35) not used for formulating the calibration equation was calculated using the calibration equation, and compared with the value obtained using the Soxhlet extraction method. Good agreement was observed between the results of the Soxhlet extraction method and those values of the NIRS method. The simple correlation coefficient (r) and standard error of prediction (SEP) were 0.964 and 0.815 %, respectively. suitability of the lipid content as an indicator of the compost fermentation of tofu refuse was also studied. The decrease of the lipid content in the compost corresponded to the decrease of the total dry weight of the compost in the composter. The lipid content was a significant indicator of the compost fermentation. The NIRS method was applied to measure the time course of the lipid content in the compost fermentation and good results were obtained. The study indicates that NIRS is a useful method for process management of the compost fermentation of tofu refuse.

  • In this paper, a trade-off design and fabrication of IPMC(Ionic Polymer Metal Composites) as an actuator for a flapping device have been described. Experiments for the internal solvent loss of IPMCs have been conducted for various combinations of cation and solvent in order to find out the best combination of cation and solvent for minimal solvent loss and higher actuation force. From the experiments, it was found that IPMCs with heavy water as their solvent could operate longer. Relations between length/thickness and tip force of IPMCs were also quantitatively identified for the actuator design from the tip force measurement of 200, 400, 640, and $800{\mu}m$ thick IPMCs. All IPMCs thicker than $200{\mu}m$ were processed by casting $Nafion^{TM}$ solution. The shorter and thicker IPMCs tended to generate higher actuation force but lower actuation displacement. To improve surface conductivity and to minimize solvent evaporation due to electrically heated electrodes, gold was sputtered on both surfaces of the cast IPMCs by the Physical Vapor Deposition(PVD) process. For amplification of a short IPMC's small actuation displacement to a large flapping motion, a rack-and-pinion type hinge was used in the flapping device. An insect wing was attached to the IPMC flapping mechanism for its flapping test. In this test, the wing flapping device using the $800{\mu}m$ thick IPMC. could create around $10^{\circ}{\sim}85^{\circ}$ flapping angles and $0.5{\sim}15Hz$ flapping frequencies by applying $3{\sim|}4V$.

  • Register control of roll-to-roll printing system for printed electronics requires accurate measurement of register errors. The register marks used for the recognition of patterns position between layers have inherently defects due to low printability of register marks themselves, which brings out inaccurate register accuracy and consequently low performance of printed electronics devices. In this study, the compensation methods for the unrecognized or missing register data are proposed to improve the recognition and consequently the control performance of register accuracy in roll-to-roll printing equipment. The compensation methods using the prior data and the linear interpolation are proposed and compared with the case without compensation for the simulation as well as experiment. Only the linear interpolation method could successfully compensate the missing data and consequently improve the register control performance. We should apply the compensation process of the register errors to improve the register control accuracy in the roll-to-roll printing equipment.

  • The behavior of steel curved bridges is more complicated than straight bridges, thus the analysis, design and construction process of curved bridges require much more attention. In design of curved bridges, the grillage analysis using general structural analysis program or special program is mainly used. Comparative study in coherence between these analytical results and actual behavior of curved bridges has been rarely conducted. To study the behaviour of curved bridges and verify the current design method, field measurements and analyses using general structural analysis program and 3-D refined analysis program were carried out for simple and continuous bridges in this study. The study focused on the behavior of curved steel bridges during construction. Measured and analytical results had quantitative difference mutually, but there were qualitatively similar. Stress variations in transverse direction of flange were observed and grillage analysis models yielded more conservative values than 3-D refined analysis models.

  • Chloride induced corrosion of steel reinforcement inside concrete is a major concern for concrete structures exposed to a marine environment. It is well known that transport of chloride ions in concrete occurs mainly through ionic/molecular diffusion, as a gradient of chloride concentration in the concrete pore solution is set. In the process of chloride transport, a portion of chlorides are bound in cement matrix then to be removed in the pore solution, and thus only the rest of chlorides which are not bound (i.e. free chlorides) leads the ingress of chlorides. However, since the measurement of free/bound chloride content is much susceptible to environmental conditions, chloride profiles expressed in total chlorides are evaluated to use in many studies In this study, the capacity of chloride binding in cement matrix was monitored for 150 days and then quantified using the Langmuir isotherm to determine the portions of free chlorides and bound chlorides at given total chlorides and the redistribution of free chlorides. Then, the diffusion of chloride ion in concrete was modeled by considering the binding capacity for the prediction of chloride profiles with the redistribution. The predicted chloride profiles were compared to those obtained from conventional model. It was found that the prediction of chloride profiles obtained by the model has shown slower diffusion than those by the conventional ones. This reflects that the prediction by total chloride may overestimate the ingress of chlorides by neglecting the redistribution of free chlorides caused by the binding capacity of cement matrix. From the evaluation, it is also shown that the service life prediction using the free chloride redistribution model needs different expression for the chloride threshold level which is expressed by the total chlorides in the conventional diffusion model.
