역공학 및 재공학 시스템엔지니어링 프로세스 적용을 통한 무인열차자동제어시스템 개발 (Automatic Train Control (ATC) System Development through Application of Reverse and Re-Systems Engineering Process)

  • The automatic train control (ATC) system development project for the Automated Guideway Transit (AGT) system has high technical risk because the system is unmanned train control system using wireless technology which was unprecedented in train control industry of Korea. To overcome the technical risk during concept design phase of the ATC system development project, the integrated product team(IPT) carried out a reverse and reengineering process using a systems engineering design model. The generic systems engineering process is incorporated in the both reverse and reengineering process. As a result of the systems engineering effort, the IPT has built top layer systems engineering design model of the ATC subsystem. The purpose of this paper is to deliver the reverse and reengineering process which was used to develop the systems engineering design model of ATC system using a computer aided systems engineering tool. This study also shows that the model based reverse and reengineering process can reduce the technical risk by identifying the differences of requirement, functional and physical architecture between a reference system and a target system.

  • Since the heat exchange system, such as the boiler of power plant, gas turbine, and radiator require a high rate heat efficiency and the efficiency of these systems is depended on the control methods. However, it is important f3r operator to understand control system of these systems. In order to properly apply control equipment to these process control systems, such as boiler, any other heat process, or process control system it is necessary to understand the basic aspects and operation principle of the process that relate control, interrelationships of the process characteristics, and the dynamics that are involved. Generally, PID controllers are used in these systems but it is difficult for engineer to understand the complex dynamics and the tuning method because of the coupling action and disturbance in the system loop. In this paper, we design an effective experimental system fur automatic control education and analyze its characteristics through experimental system and industrial plant control software to study how they can team automatic control system by experiments.

  • A fuzzy dynamic learning controller is proposed and applied to control of time delayed, non-linear and unstable chemical processes. The proposed fuzzy dynamic learning controller can self-adjust its fuzzy control rules using the external dynamic information from the process during on-line control and it can create th,, new fuzzy control rules autonomously using its learning capability from past control trends. The proposed controller shows better performance than the conventional fuzzy logic controller and the fuzzy self organizing controller.

  • In the industrial field nowadays the information that needs to be handled arc increasing and requires faster speed in contrast with PLC(Programmable Logic Controller) or DCS(Distributed Control System) based control systems these days. The work environment these days are mostly based on PC, so the control systems are wanted in PC. At Fieldbus used automated systems performing distributed process control by PC performs and combines into one system in order to maximize the increase of productivity, lower the expense, planning constructing and maintaining the reliance of automation. These latest automation systems unites process, makes distributed control process able, and can control and supervise at remote PC.

A Role-driven Security and Access Control Model for Secured Business Process Management Systems

  • This paper formally defines a role-driven security and access control model of a business process in order eventually to provide a theoretical basis for realizing the secured business process management systems. That is, we propose a graphical representation and formal description of the mechanism that generates a set of role-driven security and access control models from a business process modeled by the information control net(ICN) modeling methodology that is a typical business process modeling approach for defining and specifying business processes. Based upon the mechanism, we are able to design and accomplish a secured business process management system that provides an unified resource access control mechanism of the business process management engine domain's and the application domain's. Finally, we strongly believe that the secured access control policies from the role-driven security and access control model can be easily transformed into the RBAC(Role-based Access Control) model that is a standardized security technology for computer and communications systems of commercial and civilian government organizations.

In order to properly apply control equipment and intelligent technology to these process control systems, it is necessary to understand fuzzy, neural network, genetics, and immune as well as the basic aspects and operation principle of the process that relate control, interrelationships of the process characteristics, and the dynamics that are involved. Generally, since PID controllers are used in these systems it is difficult far engineer to understand both the complex dynamics and the intelligent control method. In this paper, we design an effective experimental system for the intelligent control education and analyze its characteristics through experimental system and each intelligent method to study how they can learn intelligent control system by experiments.

  • A state or the arts in Japanese chemical process control is reviewed based on experience in applying advanced process control schemes to several industrial chemical processes. The applications validate model predictive control (MPC), the most popular advanced control scheme in the process control community, as, indeed, a powerful and practical control algorithm. However, at the same time, it is elucidated that MPC can solve only the control algorithm part of the problem and one needs chemical and systems engineering aspects to solve the entire problem. By illustrating several industrial process control problems, the need for chemical engineering aspects as well as the future direction for process control are addressed, especially in light or current attitudes toward product quality.

  • Most control systems of power plants are using classical PID controllers for their process control. In order to get the desired control performances, the correct tuning of PID controllers is very important. Sometimes, it is necessary to retune PID controllers after the change of system operating condition and system design change, etc. Commercial auto-tuning controllers such as relay feedback controller can be used for this purpose. However, using these controllers to the safety-critical systems of nuclear power plants may be cause of unsafe operation, because they are using test signals for tuning. A new system identification auto-tuning method without using test signal has been developed in this paper. This method uses process input/output signals for system identification of unknown control process. From the model information of control process which was obtained from system identification approach, the optimal PID parameters can be calculated. The method can be used in the safety-critical systems because it is not using test signals during system modeling process.
