  • Dietary fibers consist mostly of complex carbohydrates such as cellulose, hemicelluloses and pectins, and also included are carbohydrate-based gums or hydrocolloids exampled as alginate, carrageenan, galactomannan xanthan, etc. Due to structural diversity, dietary fibers can be classified by various ways i.e., source, plant function, solubility, charge and topology. Understanding on the plant cell wall structure is of primary importance, since physicochemical properties of dietary fibers are dependent on the existence patterns in the cell wall. Depending on the four distinct observational dimensions, the physical parameters of dietary fibers were discussed in terms of raw sources, bulky & complex plant cell wall materials, individually separated hydrocolloid materials and specifically designed materials. Each existence state possesses the distinct physical parameters governing a variety of physiological properties of dietary fibers.

  • The primary purpose of this thesis is to offer users for the better surroundings in planning subway wall design through analyzing the Wall Environmental Design at Subway Statiov. As the urban circumstances were developed by the economic growth, the new city plan, re-development evoked the radical changes in the urban circumstances. In processing the industrialization and urban surroundings. This range has enlargened and provided the localism, the function, the purpose with the visual informations. The method of this paper was the spot survey simultaneously the photographing of the mould's size. theme, colour, material, compossitiov. In conclusion, concerning about the artificial and subterranean space, the Wall Environmental Design at Subway Station needs more practial approach in the using the space.

  • Malignant lymphoma in chest wall is a rare form of extranodal variety as occasionally localized tumor. The primary site is suggested from rib or soft tissue, but the incidence in rib is higher than soft tissue. The patient, a male, aged 32, noted a swelling and pain over the left lower posterior chest from 3 months prior to admission. Roentgenograms revealed bony destruction in left 9, & 19th ribs posteriorly and associated chest wall mass which was ill defined uncleared margination. Under diagnosis of malignant tumor, the operation was performed and the tumor mass resected widely with en bloc technique than the fascia lata was grafted at chest wall defect. The histology of specimen was disclosed as malignant lymphoma, non-Hodgkin`s diffuse lymphocytic poorly differentiated form. The radio-and chemotherapy were combined post-operatively and the complete remission is acquired.

  • The primary purpose of this investigation is to find out the shear behavior and the shear capacity of RC bare frames, brick-infilled RC frames, and damper-retrofitted RC frames and to evaluate the average shear strength of brick--infill wall. The main variables art the absence of brick infill wall and steel plate slit damper. The test results show that the shear capacity of specimen IF-DR is 2.8 times as high as that of the specimen BF and it presents the fact that the retrofitting effect and the possibility of RC frame reuse with changing the slit damper is verified. And the average shear strength of the brick infill wall is figured to be at $5.0 kgf/cm^2$.

  • In our previous work in transcriptional regulation of sugar, expression of genes encoding putative glycosyl hydrolases in Arabidopsis was induced by sugar starvation. They were annotated as b-galactosidase (At5g56870), ${\beta}-xylosidase$ (At5g49360) and ${\beta}-glucosidase$ (At3g60140), which belong to glycosyl hydrolase family that has a catalytic domain of polysaccharides. From the primary structure of deduced amino acid sequence, they were predicted to localize to cell wall. Further investigation of these cell wall hydrolases implicated that cell wall polysaccharides provide metabolizable sugars to nutrient allocation under sugar starvation.

  • Since a ductile coupled shear wall system is the primary seismic load resisting systems of many structures, a coupling beams of these system must exhibit excellent ductility and energy absorption capacity. In this paper, the seismic response of coupled shear wall system is discussed. It includes that the evaluation of the degree of coupling between the shear walls and the coupling beams. It is demonstrated through a review of experimental investigations of coupling beam behavior that often the coupling beam ductility demand exceeds the expected available ductility. As a result, it is possible that coupled shear wall system will not behave as desired in the course of a significant seismic event. Limits to the allowable degree of coupling are proposed as a remedy to this apparent deficiency.

  • Huge chondrosarcoma is a rare form of primary malignant tumor of the chest wall. We operated on a 60 year old female patient who had a huge anterior chest wall mass with local invasion into the pericardium and satellite tumors on the visceral pericardium of the heart. En-bloc resection of the huge tumor including both upper 3 ribs, both clavicles, manubrium of the sternum, pleura, and pericarium, was followed by complex chest wall reconstruction using a Gore-tex soft tissue patch and latissimus dorsi musculocutaneous free flap.

  • Over the past 30 years, the tall building has seen unprecedented global support. With advanced innovation and many regions around the world discovering increasing growth rates, the tall, supertall, and megatall buildings continue to drastically alter the vertical urbanism of the cities they inhabit. For centuries, urban conditions in most major territories were predominately defined by the street wall and the spaces it shapes. Giambattista Nolli's 1748 Map of Rome most clearly illustrates this significance and possibly solidifies what generations would understand to be the predominant urban condition. As architects, it has been a city's lower vertical wall fabric that has often been the primary focus of efforts to craft an urban experience, and for good reason. Through recent examples of built and unbuilt KPF projects, this paper will explore an upper vertical wall fabric, an urbanism that not only exists at the ground but also within the troposphere.

  • Primary cardiac fibroma of the left ventricular myocardium is a rare tumor of the heart which is usually located within the anterior wall and /or septum of the left ventricle and is the second most common cardiac tumor in infant and children. Although the tumor is benign histologically, it may cause severe cardiac dysfunction and sudden death. A 30-day-old neonate with a huge intramural fibroma involving the posterolateral wall of the left ventricle underwent it`s partial resection under extracorporeal circulation on April 1992.

  • Primary intrathoracic neoplasms occur frequently, and the most frequent intrathoracic tumors are of pulmonary or bronchogenic origin. Second in frequency are mediastinal tumors, and least frequency or comparatively rare are the neoplasms arising from the wall of the thorax and extending into the thoracic cavity. Of all intrathoracic tumors, fibroma is extremely rare. Recently, we have experienced a huge rapid growing intrathoracic fibroma originating from thoracic wall, which is removed successfully and confirmed histopathologically. Authors present one case of fibroma and discussion with a brief review of the relevant literatures.
