The purpose of the study is to analyze and compare the primary science curricula of Korea, China, and Japan. Science textbooks for Korea and China and national science curriculum guides for Korea and Japan were analyzed in terms of the scope and sequence of the topics. The number of primary science topics dealt with is greatest in China, followed by Korea, then Japan. In addition to the wide range of topics, the Chinese curriculum also shows more in-depth coverage of topics. On the contrary, the Japanese curriculum has the least number of topics and shallowest depth of coverage. Korea seems to be in the middle between China and Japan. The similarities of the curricula in these East Asian countries is greatest between Korea and China. and the least between China and Japan. The similarities between Korea and Japan is somewhere in the middle. Korean primary science curriculum shows a comparatively even distribution of topics across grades. A relatively smaller number of sub-topics are introduced at each grade level, especially in the area of earth science and physics. On the contrary, in the Chinese curriculum, sub-topics tend to be concentrated at a certain grade level, thus major topics are dealt with in a grade or two. The Japanese science curriculum has fewer topics than those of the other countries, and generally one or two sub-topics appeared in a grade or two.
This research surveyed how much the professors ill tile university of education and primary school teachers understand the 6th National primary science Curriculum. Items to check tile degree of purpose description, reflection of basic policy, appropriateness of content, its organization, teaching method and evaluation, its influence on textbook and putting in practice of themselves were evaluated neutral or positive by most of them. But the opinion of responders were divided into tile two extremes, positive or negative, ell tile possibility of carrying out various inquiry activities and participation in science activities of students. Both of professors and teachers indicated that tile explanatory book of curriculum and annotated teachers' edition are the principal sources of information about curriculum. And the teachers stated that the shortage of information and materials are the principal factors to obstruct the change of lessons according to new curriculum.

This study was carried out to examine the tendency about the relative importance of STS education of the 6th and 7th primary science curriculum. The results of the research are as follows. Primary science textbooks in the 6th curriculum, average 13.3% of the total pages was assigned to STS contents but it is increased to 24.2% in the science textbooks of the 7th curriculum. STS constituents of the 6th primary science textbooks come out orderly applications of scientific knowledge(47.1%), relevance of a community(40%), social problems and issues(11.8%). Of the 7th science textbooks, the contents about applications of scientific knowledge amount to 67.1% of the total STS constituent and relevance of a community(32.2%) rank behind it. The contents of other components are not enough. The 6th science textbooks contents about the effect of technological development amount to 35.3% of the total STS subject area, and environmental quality(20.0%), natural resource(15.2%), energy(11.8%), sociology of science(11.8%) ranks behind it. In the 7th science textbooks ranking is the effect of technological development(42.3%), natural resource(17.3%), energy(12.5%), sociology of science(12.5%), environmental quality(20.0%). There are few contents about population, human engineering and space research and national defense in the science textbooks.
The purpose of this study was to examine the content relevance of the 7th national primary science curriculum and textbooks. To fulfill the purpose of the study, we 1) analyzed the 7th national science curriculum of Korea, Californian science standards, the national science curriculum of England and Japan, and current Korean and Japanese science textbooks, 2) conducted a nationwide survey to gather opinions from students, teachers, and professors of teachers colleges about the relevance of the science curriculum and textbooks. Main findings of this study are as follows: First, the science contents at each grade level should be determined by the students' characteristics, not by an equal portion rule among physics, chemistry, biology and earth science. Second, the excessive overlapping and repetition of contents due to the spiral curriculum should be avoid. Third, the number of topics at each grade level should be reduced, and the similar topics and themes should be integrated for students' deeper understanding. Fourth, the number of science concepts and activities should be reduced to an appropriate level considering the time allotment for science classes, teachers workload, laboratory conditions, etc. Fifth, differentiated curriculum, such as in-depth and supplementary course, should be described not in science contents, but in teaching and learning strategy.
The purpose of this research is to direct the 7th national primary science curriculum to be performed properly. The research is based on the questionnaire to investigate the primary teachers' appreciation of the curriculum. The questions are about the general aspect of the 7th curriculum and special treatises on science curriculum. Questionnaires were distributed to 1000 teachers, and 822 teachers answered them. According to the survey results the teachers' thoughts were as following: First, there must be enough time to develop a new curriculum. It is not desirable to change the old curriculum totally. There should be some continuity between the old and the new curriculum. Second, teachers appreciated that the learning resources and supplements were helpful, and interested students. Teachers thought that If equipment at class or school was not enough. Third, according to them the hierarchical structure of science curriculum was appropriate, but the contents need to be improved. Fourth, most teachers restructured the 7th science curriculum to adapt it to the class and school. They cooperated with one another in teaching science, and applied diverse teaching-learning methods according to the curricular contents and the grade levels. Teachers tried to evaluate all aspects of the students with various methods, but they felt it was hard. They were not active in developing evaluation tools as a team, and in objectifying the information about students. Fifth, teachers felt it was hard to implement the science curriculum according to different levels of the students. Based on the survey of teachers' thoughts, the following can be suggested for successful implementation and reorientation of the curriculum. First, teachers need learning opportunities to appreciate and adapt the 7th curriculum creatively. Second, they need guidances in implementing the different levels of the curriculum, and the information about the appropriate resources for it. Third, we need to control the relative difficulty of the curricular contents, and reduce the hours and quantity of the study. Fourth, we need to improve the school equipment and facilities. Networking and cooperation among education-related institutions are essential for better education. Fifth, it is desirable to develop concrete and diverse teaming models.
Primary school is regarded as an important period when many health-related behaviors and life-styles begin to be formed. Acquiring them through school heath education has a strong influence on the health promotion of not only the family but also the community. Primary school health education in Korea has a systematic flaw in that health-related subjects are divided and taught under various subjects in primary school. In order to develop a proper school health curriculum, it is essential to assess what is currently being taught. In this study the current health education of the 6th grade primary curriculum was investigated to improve school health education. The purpose of this study is to identify the health education contents and time in textbooks of the 6th grade primary school curriculum. In this study, the textbooks & teacher's teaching manuals of the 6th grade curriculum were analyzed with a health instruction framework for Korean schools developed by the Korean Nurse Association & Korean School Health Education Association in 1993 and health care framework for health education curriculum presented by Kim in 1991. The results are as follows ; 1) Health education hours of the curriculum are 206 hours, about 34.3 hours a year. 2) The contents of health education were divided into nine subjects at primary schools. Organizing principles of learning experience(eg, integrity, sequence and continuity) were not considered sufficiently. The physical education & natural science subjects include a lot of health education contents. 3) The major content areas are community & environmental health areas and daily healthy life areas. 4) The major areas at each grade level are daily healthy concerns and safety & first-aid 5) The remarkable contrast to the 5th primary school curriculum are that environmental health is offered to the first grade step by step, and that drug use & abuse and mental health education are included in the 6th primary school curriculum. 6) The main contents of health education in 1st, 2nd. and 3rd grade curricula consist of treatment & recovery health functions. Those of the 4th grade curriculum consist of treatment & recovery health functions, and daily healthy life functions. Those of the 5th grade consist of growth & development functions. Those of the 6th grade consist of treatment & recovery health, growth & development functions. Most health care functions belong to physical health care. The results above suggest that we put together the divided contents of health education and manage them on the basis of systematic integration.

The IT(Information Technology) is very important growth power in the knowledge information based society. But there is nothing an educational program or system for putting the computer science education in the primary and secondary school into practice. We can talk this problem because of the national curriculum. This existing state brings to a conclusion not only to the political and administrative support but also to the national curriculum. These internal problems are two. First problem is the content in the computer textbook. And second problem is the connection between the computer science education curriculum of university and that of primary and secondary school. This study analyzed the relation about it. And this study suggested the ideal method for connecting those of them. Finally, the results of this study are two. First result is the necessary to reconstruct the domain knowledge of the computer based on the computer science for getting the identity. And second result is necessary to connect between the domain knowledge of the computer based on the computer science identity of university and that of primary and secondary school.

The curriculum in primary and secondary school is at the heart of the education. In education, a curriculum is broadly defined as the comprehensive plan consisting of educational goal and objectives, instructional content, materials, teaching and learning method. Many countries has national level curricula in primary and secondary education, such as the Korea. Korean national curriculum has been revised 10 times. Currently, '2015 revised curriculum' is applied in korea. On the other hand, the Korean library association developed called a 'Library and information life' curriculum for information literacy instruction in 2007. However, this curriculum is based on the '2007 revised national curriculum', so it differs from the system and contents structure of the '2015 revised national curriculum'. Since the primary and secondary school applying the '2015 revised national curriculum', 'Library and information life' curriculum should be revised. Therefore, this study suggests the direction of revising the 'Library and information life' curriculum after comparing and analyzing '2015 revised curriculum' and 'Library and information life' curriculum.
The purpose of this study was to study on radiologic technologist's license system and primary pathway education curriculum in the United States American (USA), focused on one case of college in Texas. We were collected and analyzed through class participation at a community college in Tarrant, interviews with professors of radiologic science and clinical radiographers, field trips, an internet search, and literature reviews. As a result, first, the American radiologic technologists license system is composed of fifteen chapters, and the professional education courses for each field are being carried out through three courses of a primary pathway, a post primary pathway and a physician extender. Second, the primary pathway courses consisted the radiography, the radiation therapy, the nuclear medicine, the magnetic resonance imaging, the sonography. Third, the USA had about 30 times more clinical practice time than Korea. In clinical practice, students had done actually examination through X-ray exposure on patients. Last radiographers in the USA was able to perform intravenous injection of radiopharmaceutical agents on patient, so that he could perform rapid examination and efficient manpower operation. This study could be used as basic data for the globalization of radiologic technologists license system in Korea.
The purpose of this study was to examine whether or not they have been revised corresponding to the purpose of revision by making a comparative analysis of the content and illustration in the 6th and 7th primary science textbooks. The analysis of content was composed of knowledge, inquiry process and attitude. The analysis of illustrations was composed of the kinds of illustrations and the role of illustrations. The findings of this research were as follows: First, as a result of content analysis of the primary science textbooks in the 6th and the 7th national curriculum, the ratio of inquiry process showed the highest frequency, next knowledge and lastly scientific attitude. And the 7th textbooks are greatly emphasized knowledge and science attitude. Second, as a results of the illustration analysis are as follows: There are conspicuous differences in that the illustration number of the 7th science textbooks Is about twice the illustration number of the 6th science textbooks and next, they place more weights on pictures and comics hard to discovery in the 6th science textbooks. Therefore, they have tried to induce the interests of students and heighten their understanding by supplementing the role of illustration presented as picture-centered and increasing its number presented as picture. In the results, although they have improved the problems of the 6th national curriculum a lot through the innovation including the interest induction of pupils through comics, the development of its content presentation method, the gradual change of subject number and the cultivation of curriculum according to the level of enrichment and supplementing types, the 7th science textbooks have fallen short of 6.3%, not around 30% in terms of the reduction in the 7th national curriculum. Accordingly, the 7th science textbooks also can be pointed out to have the problems of too much amount of studying compared to the time per week like the 6th science textbooks.
