  • In this paper, we propose a new method to automatically recognize PRI modulation type of radar signal at ES(Electronic Support) in electronic singal environment. The propose method stores pattern of PRI(Pulse Repetition Interval) of radar signal and uses statistic data, which firstly classifies into 2 classes. Then the proposed method recognizes each PRI signal using statistic characteristic of PRI. We apply various 5 kinds of PRI signal such as constant PRI, jitter PRI, D&S(dwell & switch) PRI, stagger PRI, sliding PRI, etc. The result shows the proposed method correctly identifies various PRI signals.

  • Through applying hostile radar signals that use stagger PRI to PRI transform in real time, we can analyze stagger PRI and calculate the future TOA for active cancellation by using measured TOA and estimated PRI. We shows the effect of the errors that are contained in PRI and measured TOA. Then, it will suggest the technique to improve the accuracy of estimated PRI and the TOA averaging method for reducing the effect of measured TOA error. Finally, we will show that accuracy of estimated future TOA that is calculated by proposed scheme is higher than that of future TOA that is simply calculated with TDOA and newest TOA through comparing RMSE performance.

  • In this paper, we propose a new method to deinterleave multi-stage stagger PRI signals of pulse radars using the electronic intelligence systems. While former algorithms were based on hardware PRI tracker only using the first deviation of the TOA of radar signals, this paper uses the first and the second deviation of TOA of radar signals and uses the PRI histogram method to deinterleave multiple PRIs of pulse radars. This algorithm can be used for deinterleaving various PRI signals at electronic intelligence systems.

  • In this paper, we propose a new method to quickly deinterleave the stagger PRI signals and D&S(Dwell and Switch) PRI signals from the EP radar using the electronic warfare system. While former algorithms were based on stochastic methods only using the first deviation of the TOA of radar signals, this paper uses the first and the second deviation of the TOA of radar signals to deinterleave multiple PRIs of EP radars. When we simulate multiple PRIs of EP radars and test the simulated radar signals using the proposed algorithm, various PRI signals such as fixed, jitter, D&S and stagger PRI are well deinterleaved in a short time. This algorithm is found to be very useful for electronic warfare systems.

  • In electronic support systems, the analysis of PRI modulation characteristics for radar signals has attracted much interest because of the problem of the identification ambiguity in dense electronic warfare signal environments. A new method of recognizing the PRI modulation types of radar pulse signals is proposed for electronic support. The proposed method recognizes the PRI modulation types using the classifiers which are based on the property of the linear autocorrelation of the PRI sequences for each PRI modulation type. In addition, the proposed method estimates the PRI modulation period for the PRI modulation types with the periodicity. Simulation results are presented to show the performance of the proposed method.

  • In this paper, we propose an algorithm to identify Wobble PRI and Sinusoidal PRI among Radar pulses. We applied not only the DTOA(Difference Time Of Arrival) concept of radar pulse signals incoming to antennas but also a rising and falling cub characteristic of those PRIs. After making a program by such algorithm, we input each 40 data to Wobble PRI's and Sinusoidal PRI's identification programs and in result, those programs fully processed the data the according to expectations. In the future, those programs can be applied to the ESM, ELINT system.

  • A conventional sequence search algorithm for PRI analysis occurs the harmonic problem under missing pulses. An improved PRI analysis algorithm is proposedto remedy the harmonic problem. After dividing an overall PRI range into subbands withoug harmonic, a sequence search is done into forward and backward in time. The proposed algorithm increases the preformance compared with that of conventional sequence search algorithm.

  • Success in modern war depends on electronic warfare. Therefore, It is very important to identify the kind of Radar PRI modulations in a lot of Radar electromagnetic waves. In this paper, I propose an algorithm to identify Linear up Sliding PRI, Non-Linear up Sliding PRI and Linear Down Sliding PRI, Non-Linear Down Sliding PRI among many Radar pulses. We applied not only the TDOA(Time Difference Of Arrival) concept of Radar pulse signals incoming to antennas but also a rising and falling curve characteristics of those PRI's. After making a program by such algorithm, we input each 40 data to those PRI's identification programs and as a result, those programs fully processed the data in according to expectations. • Typically, radar systems change the pulse repetition interval of their modulated signal in order to avoid detection. On the other hand the radar-signal detection system tries to detect the modulation pattern. The histogram or auto-correlation methods are usually used to detect the PRI pattern of the radar signal. However these methods tend to lost the sequence information of the PRI pulses. This paper proposes a PRI-sequence detection algorithm based on the finite-state machine that could detect not only the PRI pattern but also their sequence.

  • The author investigated the Pantronic PRI scores for detection of TMJ dysfunction using the Pantronic in 20 subjects who were male students of the school of dentistry, Seoul National University selected according to sampling criteria and came to the following conclusions. 1. According to the HDI, 20 subjects were divided into 2 groups, the DiO and the DiI, it was appeared that 45% of the subjects had some degree of TMJ dysfunction in each session. 2. According to the P-PRI, 20 subjects were categorized into 3 categories, the none, the slight and the moderate, it was appeared that 82% of the subjects had some degree of TMJ dysfunction in each session. 3. The ability of the P-PRI was more sensitive than that of the HDI in detection of TMJ dysfunction (p < 0.01). 4. The P-PRI scores were consistent within each session and among sessions. 5. The results suggested that the P-PRI, a measure of reproducibility of border tracings, could be an aid to detect TMJ dysfunction and could be used to assess the severity of TMJ dysfunction.
