Estimation of Fatigue Strength in Resistance Spot Weldment of the Vehicle Body (차체 저항 점 용접부 피로수명 예측)

  • When the vehicle travels in an actual road, resistance spot weldments of the vehicle structure are exposed to complex loading state. Since the fatigue strength in resistance spot weldment of vehicle body can be determined by effect of residual stresses and loading state of driving, estimating actual loading state and considering residual stress effect are needed. In this study, Fatigue stress-fatigue life relation concerned residual stress effect was obtained by thermo elastic plastic finite element analysis. And applied loading in resistance spot weldments of vehicle body was calculated by dynamic analysis. Presumption of fatigue life was performed using proposed method

  • TiN 코팅은 마모에 대한 저항성 및 고체 윤활 효과가 매우 우수하여 내마모성 및 저마찰이 요구되는 절삭공구나 피스톤 베어링 및 각종 축계의 코팅막으로 사용이 증가되고 있다. 일반적으로 재료의 경도와 인성은 서로 상반 관계를 갖고 있어 공학적으로 경도와 인성을 모두 요구하는 표면을 얻기 위해 연질 모재 위의 세라믹 코팅은 그 요구를 만족시킬 수 있는 가장 각광받는 표면처리 방법중의 하나이다. 그러나, TiN과 같은 경질 박막의 공학적 적용시 가장 요구되는 마모수명은 모재의 조도나 경도, 증착 방법, 접촉 상태, 코팅막의 두께 및 마모의 발생 기구 등에 따라 마찰 및 마모 메커니즘의 현저한 차이를 나타내기 때문에 예측이 거의 불가능한 실정이고, 아직까지 이러한 마모수명 비교 평가방법에 대한 기준 설정 및 정량적 정립이 이루어지지 않고 있다. 본 연구에서는 모재의 경도, 조도, 코팅 두께가 다른 TiN 경질 박막에 압입시험과 스크래치시험시 발생되는 균열 발생 메커니즘과 미끄럼 시험시 발생되는 마모 메커니즘의 연계성을 밝히고 압입 및 스크래치 시험시 코팅막이 손상되는 임계하중과 미끄럼 시험시 접촉하중 변화에 따른 마모수명의 정량적 연관성을 찾아보고자 한다.

  • There are a lot errors and little accuracy when calculating the grounding resistance with the transposition methods in the equivalent surface of hemisphere electrode. Therefore we should calculate the grounding resistance by using the mesh factor. In this paper, we would estimated the grounding value of mesh electrode with water tank model & estimation method using the reduced scale ratio of mesh electrode based on the theory of model electrode & proportional factor according to the reduced scale ratio. And also we have confirmed the accuracy of the empirical formula of model electrode by using by regression analysis.

  • The predictive control is one of the nonlinear three-axis rotation methods. The desired trace of a satellite is pre-determined, and the control inputs are designed so that the satellite follows the ´predictive´ trace. The predictive control has been adapted to the research for the three-axis attitude control. In that case, the control variables are the quaternion represented the angular rates and attitude angles of the body about the three-axes. The objective of this paper is to propose to design a predictive controller for the three-axis attitude control under external disturbances. In order to do that, this paper proposes how to construct a predictive control law including disturbances and to discern them.   • The effect of manufacturing parameters on friction characteristics of motorcycle break system was studied using a disk-on-pad type friction tester. Such parameters conditions have an effect on the frictional factor such as number of ventilated disk hole, applied load, sliding speed, and sliding distance. However, it is difficult to know the mutual relation of these factors. In this study, the friction characteristics using design of experiment containing 4 elements were investigated for an optimal condition for the best motorcycle break system employing regression analysis method. From this study, the result was shown that the applied load in frictional factors was the most important, next to sliding speed, number of ventilated disk hole.

  • In this paper, presents a way to maximize transmission efficiency and reception ability through transmission diversity technology, which can be adapted to wireless multimedia OFDM system. The presented method is a comparative analysis between a case where parameter a for time average is 0.3, 1 with consideration of channel presumption with two types of rms delayed proliferation, which is 50nsec, 150nsec, for the performance analysis of STTC(Space-Time Trellis Code) using time-space code method appropriate for MIMO channel, and performance in the case where presumed channel value from long training column section is applied to according frame in a single frame. The result showed that BER brought SNR improvement of 1.0dB in 10$^{-3}$ when a was 0.3 than using only the long training column, and showed increase of general performance improvement for the sake of time average rather than the case without.

  • In the accelerated tests, the importance of correct failure analysis must be strongly emphasized. Understanding the failure mechanisms is requisite for designing and conducting successful accelerated life test. Under this presumption, a rational method must be identified to relate the results of accelerated tests quantitatively to the reliability or failure rates in use conditions, using a scientific acceleration transform. Most widely used models for relating the results of accelerated tests quantitatively to the reliability or failure rates in use conditions are an accelerated failure time model and a proportional hazards model. The purpose of this research is to compare the usability of the accelerated failure time model and proportional hazards model in the accelerated life tests.

  • End-milling have been used widely in industrial system because it is effective to a material manufacturing with various shape. Recently the end-milling processing is needed the high-precise technique with good surface roughness and rapid time in precision machine part and electronic part. The optimum surface roughness has an effect on end-milling condition such as, cutting direction, spindle speed, feed rate and depth of cut, etc. Therefore this study was carried out to presume for mutual relation of end-milling condition to get the optimum surface roughness by regression analysis. The results shown that coefficient of determination($R^{2}m$) of regression equation has a fine reliability over 80% and regression equation of surface rough is made by regression analysis.

  • The single layer latticed dome is very sensitive on the slenderness ratio and half open angle of the elements, load condition, and the connection type because it is originazed by a lot of thin elements, so we have to use the geometrically nonlinear buckling load when the buckling of the structures is analyzed. But, it is very difficult to design the single layer latticed domes considered all conditions. Therefore the purpose of this paper is to propose the appropriate design method of the single layer latticed dome considered the geometrically nonlinear buckling load in base of the linear buckling load by the eigenvalue analysis.

  • The thermal stress have an effect on the frictional factor such as applied load, sliding speed, sliding distance and number of ventilated disk hole. However, it is difficult to know the mutual relation of these factors on thermal stress of motorcycle break disk. For this, temperature of motorcycle break disk is measured using a disk-on-pad type friction tester with full factorial design containing above 4 elements. and the thermal stress analysis of it was carried out using with ANSYS workbench. From this study, the result was shown that the regression equation which have a trust rate of 95% for thermal stress presumption of motorcycle break disk with frictional factor was composed. It is possible to apply for another automobile parts.
