  • These studies had performed a plans for preservation and distribution of Ilex cormuta community Mt. Keumsung($35^{\circ}05'\;N,\;126^{\circ}04'\;E$) in Naju, Chonnam from Arpil, 1997 to October by Braun-Blanquet' method(1964). According to the vegetation table of community, the plant communities of the investigated sites were classified Ilex corunta-Trachelospermum asiaticum var. intermedium commnity. Now there still remains the natural environment to be developed in coast district around the riverside distributing Ilex cornuta Lindl., so it has scientifically high value to predict change of the ecosystem and preserve the community distribution.   • Most of the Historic Preservation Areas are very weak to fire disasters. The aim of this study is to build a proposal-scheme for evacuation routes planning at a large-scale disaster in a historic preservation area. The study area is a preservation area called "Hizen-Hama-Shuku" which has many straw-roofed wooden houses in Kashima city, Japan. To achieve this aim, outline of the scheme is discussed. The proposal-scheme of evacuation routes consists of objectives to propose, target time to evacuate for the refuge place, evaluation method, and procedures. The existing condition and the measures are evaluated using the software "SimTread".

Speckle Noise Reduction with Morphological Adaptive Median Filtering Based on Edge Preservation

  • Speckle noise reduction for ultrasound CT image using morphological adaptive median filtering based on edge preservation is presented in this paper. Speckle noise is multiplicative feature and causes ultrasound image to degrade widely from transducer. An input image is classified into edge region and homogeneous region in preprocessing. The speckle is reduced by morphological operation on the 2D gray scale by using convolution and correlation, and edges are preserved. The adaptive median is processed to reduce an impulse noise. As the result the proposed method enhances the image to about 20% in comparison with Winer filter by Edge Preservation Index and PSNR.

무혈청 배지를 이용한 CHO 세포의 단기 저온보존 (Short-term Hypothermic Preservation of CHO Cells Using Serum-Free Media)

  • 세포의 보존은 세포의 배양에 있어서 필수 불가결한 요건으로서 세포주의 다양한 특성에 따라 적합한 방법이 확립되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 산업용 세포주인 CHO 세포의 단기간 저온보존 기술의 확립을 목표로 진행되었으며 다양한 조건을 통해 가장 안정적인 저온보존 방법을 수립하였다. 저온보존 방법에 있어서 가장 중요한 요인은 온도로서 $4^{\circ}C$ 저온보존이 세포 보존에 필수적인 조건으로 나타났으며 $20^{\circ}C$ 실온보존에서는 세포의 급격한 사멸이 관찰되었다. 보존형태는 용기를 눕힌 상태로 서서히 회전시켜 현탁 보존하는 방법이 용기를 세우거나 눕혀 보관하는 방법에 비해 높은 생존율을 나타내었다. 또한 저온보존 시 새로운 배지로 교환한 후 보존하는 방법이 배양에 사용된 배지를 그대로 사용한 보존 방법보다 세포의 성장 회복율에서 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 $4^{\circ}C$에서 rolling을 통한 현탁 보존을 할 경우에는 배지의 교환 없이도 안정적으로 세포보존이 가능한 것으로 나타났다. 저온보존에 가장 적합한 세포의 농도는 실험결과 $1.0{\times}10^6{\sim}5.0{\times}10^6cells/m{\ell}$ 범위로 나타났으며 혐기적인 상태로 보존하는 것이 공기가 존재하는 보존방법 보다 비교적 우수한 보존 결과를 나타내었다. 이상의 결과를 바탕으로 무혈청 배지의 저온보존액으로서의 안정성과 첨가물에 의한 보존효율의 향상을 평가하였다. 실험결과 저온보존 후 10일간은 높은 세포 생존율과 함께 정상적인 세포 성장 회복을 보이는 것으로 나타났으며 ${\alpha}$-tocopherol과 retinoic acid를 첨가한 저온보존액의 경우에는 더욱 우수한 세포 생존율을 보임을 확인하였다. 마지막으로 이렇게 확립된 방법을 이용하여 1 L 용량의 저온보존 실험을 수행한 결과, 앞선 실험에서와 유사한 경향의 세포 보존 능력을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 결과를 종합해 볼 때 산업용 세포주로 널리 사용되는 CHO 세포의 저온보존은 본 연구에서 확립된 방법을 통해 단기간 동안 안정적으로 수행될 수 있을 것으로 사료되며 대용량 저온보존의 적용 가능성도 확인하였다. 대용량 배양에서의 단기간 보존기술에 대한 연구가 앞으로 더 많이 수행된다면 실제 배양 공정에서도 저온보존 기술의 적용이 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

상원사목조문수동자좌상 복장 명주홑저고리의 보존처리 (The Preservation Treatment of Unlined Silk Jeogori Found at the Wooden Munsudongja Buddha Statue in the Sangwon Temple)

  • The significance of this study is the demonstration of a new method of preservation procedure for national-treasure-class cultural-assets by examining the characteristics of the Jeogori relic, presumed to be that of King SeJo, and validating the preservation process. This Jergori as well as the wooden Munsu-donja Buddha statue from which they were found are designated as national treasure. The Jeogori relic is made of light silk and dimensions mark 77 cm in length, 67 cm in width, and 94 cm in sleeve length. It is a typical Jeogori worn in the Chosun Dynasty. Preservation procedure was in the following order: Removing dust and pollutants by vacuum, washing, removing creases, reinforcing the clothes, settling at paulownia backboard, and packing. Storage and exhibition of remains was executed with as minimal folding as possible, and microbiological damage prevention was performed by dyeing antibacterial treatment with eugenol onto supporting cloth. The relic, conservatively treated in accordance with the above procedure, is currently kept at the storage facility of the citadel Museum in the Woljeong Temple. It is displayed annually to the general public for approximately two weeks.

성견의 연속 양측 폐이식을 이용한 폐보존 평가 연구 (Evaluation of Lung Preservation by Using of Canine Bilateral Sequential Lung Tranplantation)

  • Background: Numerous studies of safe, long term preservation for lung transplantation have been performed using ex vivo models or in vivo single lung transplantation models. However, a safe preservation time which is applicable for clinical use is difficult to determine. We prepared LPDG solution for lung preservation study. In this study we examined the efficacy of LPDG(low potassium dextran glucose) solution in 24-hour lung preservation by using a sequential bilateral canine lung allotransplant model. Material and Method: Seven bilateral lung transplant procedures were performed using weight-matched pairs(24 to 25kg) of adult mongrel dogs. The donor lungs were flushed with LPDG solution and maintained hyperinflated with 100% oxygen at 1$0^{\circ}C$ for a planned ischemic time of 24 hours for the lung implanted first. After sequential bilateral lung transplantation, dogs were maintained on ventilators for 3 hours: arterial resistance were determined if the recipients hourly after bilateral reperfusion and compared with pretransplant-recipient values, which were used as controls. After 2hours of reperfusion, the chest X-ray, computed tomogram and lung perfusion scan were performed for assessmint of early graft lung function. Pathological examinations for ultrastructural findings of alveolar structure and endothelial structure of pulmonary artery were performed. Result: Five of seven experiments successfully finished the whole assessments after bilateral reperfusion for three hours. Arterial oxygen tension in the recipients was markedly decrased in immediate reperfusion period but gradually recovered after reperfusion for three hours. The pulmonary artery and pulmonary vascular resistance showed singificant elevation(p<0.05 versus control values) but also recovered after reperfusion for three hours(p<0.05 versus immediate period value). The ultrastructural findings of alveolar structure and endothelial structure of pulmonary artery showed reversible mild injury in 24 hours of lung perservation and reperfusion. Conclusion : This study suggests that LPDG solution provides excellent preservation in a canine model in which the dog is completely dependent on the function of the transplanted lung.

생태네트워크 구축을 위한 해안습지 기능평가 연구 - 충남 서해안을 대상으로 - (A Study on Function Assessment of Coastal Wetlands for Ecological Network Establishment -Focused on the Westcoast of Chungnam Province -)

  • This study was surveyed from January to september, 2007 in order to evaluate the function of coastal wetland as a ecological axis in korea peninsula. Assessment was done by RAM (Rapid Assessment Method). RAM is consisted of total 8 contents and divided into high, moderate, low. The preservation grade of RAM is divided into 4 grades; absolute preservation, preservation, improvement and improvement or restoration. Throughout survey on total 14 wetlands of marine, estuary wetland and back marsh which are distributed in west coast in chung-nam province, their function was assessed. As result, total all the 14 wetlands were judged as preservation grade by assessment of 8 functional contents. The function of wetlands assessed as preservation grade showed high in water quality protection and improvement. Also, showed high in vegetation diversity, wildlife habitat and aesthetic recreation. Meanwhile, showed low in ground water recharge, Shoreline/Stream Bank Protection, Flood/Stormwater storage and Flood flow alteration. Of wetlands evaluated as preservation grade, Dae-ho, Sinduri, Bu-Nam lake, Sowhang dune and keum river estuary were assessed as absolute preservative area owing to habitation of international protection species and endangered species. These wetlands are essential to be managed continuously as a area having high ecological value. Farther, this wetlands will be done as a axis of ecological network related to land ecosystem.

형태 보존성을 위한 자유 형태 곡선 보간 방법 (Free-Form Curve Interpolation Method for Shape Preservation)

  • Shape-preserving property is the important method that controls the complex free form curve/surface. Interpolation method for the existed Shape-Preservation had problems that it has needed the minimization of a curvature-related functions for calculating single-valued data. Solving this problem, in this paper, it proposed to the algorithm of generalizing C piecewise parametric cubic that has shape-preserving property for both Single-value data and Multivalue data. When there are the arbitrary tangents and two data, including shape-preserving property, this proposed method gets piecewise parametric cubic polynomial by checking the relation between the shape-preserving property and then calculates efficiently the control points using that. Also, it controls the initial shape using curvature distribution on curve segments.

금냉법(金冷法)에 대한 고찰 - 중국 논문을 중심으로 - (Review on Geumnaeng Method - Focus on Chinese Medical Articles -)

  • Objectives : 'Geumnaeng method'' is a well-known folk remedy, but It has not been studied in academia. This study was conducted to review the chinese published articles on Geumnaeg method (Jinleng method) of Chinese traditional medicine. Methods : The author searched Chinese published papers from 2000 to 2018 via CNKI(China National Knowledge Infrastructure) database by using keyword 'Jinleng', 'Jinleng method', and analyzed the papers covered Jinleng method health preservation, and classified them including periods, type of study, target symptoms, and comparison between countries. Results : 17 studies were reviewed. The study of Jinleng method in China began in 2005. 8 articles (47.1%) were review articles, 4 articles (23.5%) of the case report and case series, and 5 articles (29.4%) were clinical studies. Clinical studies have increased since 2008. Most of the studies related to genital disorders and sexual function were mainly performed. There were differences between Japan, Korea and China in Jinleng method. Conclusions : Various disease and symptoms was researched with Jinleng method in China. Research in China is more active than other country. We need to increase the level of evidence of Jinleng method's effectiveness through additional studies in the future.

보관 방법에 따른 Rotifer Brachionus plicatilis 내구란의 부화 (The Hatching Rate of Resting Eggs of the Rotifer Brachionus plicatilis according to Preservation Method)

  • The rotifer Brachionus plicatilis is one of the most important food organisms in aquaculture. The resting eggs produced by mictic female rotifers are easily stored and hatched, making them useful as the starter for the mass culture of rotifers in marine larval culture. This study examined the optimum preservation method for resting eggs to ensure a high hatching rate. To produce resting eggs, the marine rotifer B. plicatilis was cultured with Nannochloris oculata (KMMCC 16). The resting eggs were harvested and cryopreserved using 5% and 10% methanol (MeOH), dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO), and glycerol as cryoprotectant agents (CPAs). The cryopreservation comprised slow or rapid freezing and the resting eggs were stored for one month in liquid nitrogen ($-196^{\circ}C$). The resting eggs were also dried at different temperatures (30, 40, and $50^{\circ}C$) and for different times (1, 2, and 3 h). In general, the hatching rates of the resting eggs preserved with CPA were higher than those without CPA and the slow freezing method was better than the rapid freezing method. However, the optimum CPA concentration for the hatching rate of the resting eggs varied with the freezing method and kind of CPA, and the CPA also affected the viability of the resting eggs. Dried resting eggs had a high, rapid hatching rate over 80%. The moisture content of the resting eggs cryopreserved in liquid nitrogen affected the hatching rate. Drying at $30^{\circ}C$ for 1 hour resulted in a high hatching rate of the resting eggs. In conclusion, drying at $30^{\circ}C$ for 1 hour and preservation in liquid nitrogen with the slow freezing method, without CPA, is recommended for a high hatching rate (ca. 95%) of rotifer resting eggs.
