Objectives : The purpose of this study was to examine the eating behavior of patients in a bid to facilitate the improvement of their eating behavior, as eating behavior seemed to affect oral health and dietary habits. Methods : The subjects in this study were 235 patients who visited the dental hygiene practice lab at C college in South Jeonla Province. After a survey was conducted, the collected data were analyzed with the statistical package SPSS 12.0. Results : 1. When their self-awareness of dietary habits and oral health was checked in consideration of eating behavior, those who thought they had very good dietary habits and were in good oral health had meals three times a day. Their eating time was very irregular, and they took 15 to 20 minutes to eat. Their overeating frequency was three or four times a week, and their frequency of eating between meals was once or twice a week. 2. On the contrary, the daily eating frequency of the patients who found themselves to have very bad dietary habits and to be in bad oral health was not fixed, and their eating time was neither regular nor irregular. They spent less than 10 minutes having a meal, and their overeating frequency was once or twice a week. Their frequency of having a snack was three or four times a week, and as for food preference, they had a liking for meat. 3. The patients considered themselves to be in better health when they had balanced meals and good eating behavior, namely good dietary habits. And they rated their own dietary habits higher when they were in a good oral state, had no experiences to feel pain in the mouth and didn't receive any dental treatment, namely when they were in good oral health. Conclusions : This study attempted to investigate the influence of eating behavior on oral health awareness. Another limitation of this study is that the geographic scope was just confined to an urban community in South Jeonla Province without checking any possible regional gaps. However, it's quite evident that eating behavior exerts an influence on oral health awareness, and it seems worth doing to examine a larger number of subjects by utilizing objective oral health guidelines.
Environment has formed characters of one society and the society has formed its characteristic cultural behaviors. Oppositely cultural behaviors make the characteristic products like environment and space products. It gives the idea that we can create cultural space by examining cultural characteristics. This research bases on the 5 cultural dimensions of Geert Hofstede to inspect cultural quality of Korea and the 10 cultural factors of Edward. T. Hall in order not to omit some part of cultural characters. From April 2004, KTX which is originated from TGV of France began toroll in Korea. It is interesting that the same interior of train is used by two different cultures. The method to find out the special quality of transportation culture of Korea passed 5 steps like following; 1) making a questionnaire to understand general concepts 2) observation to make dear what are the special behaviors in the interior of train 3) comparison valuation with marking sheet of the interiors of KTX and HSR in order to find out which space Korean people prefer 4) comparison of behaviors in the interior of KTX and TGV 5) Interviewing and surveying the opinions of passengers of KTX. With these methods it would be possible to seek out the characters, preferencesand needs for the interior space of train. There were remarkable things like following 1) importance of privacy from the other's eyes 2) seriousness of individual seat because of the short term transportation 3) necessity of continuous information because of 'Uncertainty Avoidance Culture' 4) absence of moving 5) requirement of bright and comfortable interior like one's inner room 6) preference to take a seat as a group with their friends or family due to 'Collective Culture' 7) self-defense and self-protection of one's baggage because of 'Uncertainty Avoidance Culture'. With these discoveries this research suggests guidelines to design interior of train of Korea.
This study was carried out to investigate the effects of addition of mugwort powder 0.7%, 10/0, 2%) on the quality characteristics of emulsion-type sausages. The pH, color, TBARS, textural properties, minerals content and sensory evaluation were evaluated. The pH values of sausage containing mugwort powder were significantly lower as compared to control during 20 days of storage, but there were higher than those of control at 40 days of storage. The $L^*$ and $a^*$ values of sausage containing mugwort powder were significantly lower as compared to control, but the $b^*$ values were significantly higher in the sausage containing mugwort powder. The TBARS values of sausage containing mugwort powder were significantly lower than those of control at 20 and 45 days of storage. The hardness values of sausage containing mugwort powder were significantly lower than those of control. The Na content of sausage containing mugwort powder were significantly lower as compared to control, but Mg, Ca, Mn and Fe contents were significantly higher in the sausage containing 2%l mugwort powder. Sensory panels evaluated that sausage containing mugwort powder had the higher preference scores in mugwort flavor.
Background: The aim of this work was the comparison between the carcass and the meat ewes of the regional Traditional market and the Islamic religious (Halal) market. Methods: Thirty and 20 at the end of career traditional market and Halal market ewes were slaughtered following the EC (European Council, 2009) animal welfare guidelines. Live weight of ewes was taken and dressing percentage of carcasses was calculated. On every carcass zoometric measurement and the evaluation trough the EU grid rules were performed. On the Musculus longissimus thoracis of 12 Traditional market carcasses and 11 Halal market carcasses the physical-chemical and nutritional analysis were performed. Consumer tests for liking meat ewe were performed in order to find consumer's preference level for Traditional and Halal markets ewe meat. Considering as fixed factor the ewe meat market (Traditional and Halal), results were submitted to oneway Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and to Principal Component Analysis (PCA). Results: The Halal market ewes have shown lower dressing percentages ($42.91{\pm}0.82$ vs $46.42{\pm}0.69$) and lower conformation score ($4.5{\pm}0.5$ vs $7.8{\pm}0.4$). The Halal market meat showed higher cooking loss in oven ($37.83{\pm}1.20$ vs $32.03{\pm}1.15%$), lesser Chroma value ($18.63{\pm}0.70$ vs $21.84{\pm}0.67$), and lesser Hue angle value ($0.26{\pm}0.02$ vs $0.34{\pm}0.02$). This product had also lower fat percentage ($4.2{\pm}0.4$ vs $7.09{\pm}0.4$). The traditional market meat had higher percentage in monounsatured fatty acids (MUFA) ($43.84{\pm}1.05$ vs $38.22{\pm}1.10$), while the Halal market meat had higher percentage in ${\omega}3$ poliunsatured fatty acids (PUFA) ($5.04{\pm}0.42$ vs $3.60{\pm}0.40$). The consumer test showed as the ewe meat was appreciate by the consumers. Conclusions: Both meat typologies have shown good nutritional characteristics. The traditional market meat had higher MUFA composition, and a better MUFA/satured fatty acids (SFA) ratio, while the Halal market meat had higher PUFA composition. These results were also supported by the PCA. The consumers preferred the traditional market meat.
Sublethal dose effect of imidacloprid on green peach aphid (Myzus persicae) was investigated. Nymphs of green peach aphid newly produced were counted on 4 days after sub-lethal dose treatment of imidacloprid. Numbers of nymph were not significantly different between $LC_1$ treatment and untreated control. Their numbers of nymph were 8.8 and 12.7 at $LC_1$ and untreated control, respectively. When they were tented at $LC_{10}$, $LC_{30}$ and $LC_{50}$. their numbers of newly produced nymph were 6.0, 5.1 and 3.9 and reduction rates were 52.7%, 59.8% and 69.3% at each treatment compare to untreated control. Reduction rates of newly laid nymph were proportional to the concentrations of imidacloprid treated. Repellent effect of aphid to imidacloprid was bigger in dipping than in watering method. Secretion amount had negative correlation with imidacloprid concentration in dipping method and suppression of secretion went up to 96%. In watering method, amount of secretion did not show any difference between insecticide concentration, but suppression, compared to untreated control, was over 97%.
Purpose: This study examined the dietary behavior and the effects of nutrition education according to the stages of behavioral changes in sodium reduction of healthy male adults (20~69 years) in Gwangju Chonnam Regions. Methods: The research subjects were 200 male adults. Results: A significantly higher mean age was observed in the stage of Action Maintenance (A M) than in the stage of Precontemplation (PC) and stage of Contemplation Preparation (C P). Significant differences in the frequency of exercise, eating out, and preference for salty food, intake frequency of Udon, Ramen and Sundae according to the stages of behavior change in sodium reduction were observed. The dietary behavior scores and intake frequency-related dietary behavior scores of A M were significantly higher than PC and C P. Nutrition education for sodium reduction improved the dietary behavior score significantly in PC and C P, as well as the rate of correct answers of sodium-related nutrition knowledge in all stages. After the nutrition education, PC decreased greatly, and A M increased. Conclusion: Subjects in PC and C P had an undesirable propensity in dietary behavior, and nutrition knowledge compared to A M, but the nutrition education for sodium reduction greatly improved their dietary behavior and nutrition knowledge.
In recent years, IT advancement has brought out the new Internet communication environment such as online social network services, where people are connected in global network without temporal and spatial limitation. The popular use of online social network helps people share their experience and preference for specific products and services, thus holding large potential to significantly affect firms' business performance through Word-of-Mouth (WOM). This study examines the role of online social network in raising WOM effect on the movie industry by comparing with the similar role of Internet portal, another major online communication channel. Analyzing 109 movies and data from both Twitter and Naver movie, we found that significant WOM effect exists simultaneously in both Twitter and Naver movie. However, we also found that different figures of online viral effects exist depending on the popularity of movies. In the hit movie group, before the movie release, the WOM effect occurs only in Twitter while the WOM effect arises in both Twitter and Naver movie at the same time after the movie release. In the less-popular (or niche) movie group, the WOM effect occurs in both Twitter and Naver movie only before the movie release. Our findings not only deepen theoretical insights into different roles of the two online communication channels in provoking the WOM effect on entertainment products but also provide practitioners with incentive to utilize SNS as strategic marketing platform to enhance their brand reputations.

The present study aimed to understand the taste of literati appearing in the Korean-Chinese garden by comparing "Yanghwasorok(養花小錄)" and "Zhangwuzhi(長物志)", which are one of the representative gardens in Korea and China. The main subject of comparison is plants; the research results are as follows. First, Gang Hui-an stated that the ultimate purpose of growing and appreciating the gardening plants is the completion of oneself, while Wen Zhen-heng(文震亨) used gardening plants as a means to practice a life of reclusiveness(隱逸). Second, Gang Hui-an claimed that growing plants is human's cultivation of virtue on the basis of Confucian view's gaining knowledge by the study of things(格物致知), whereas Wen Zhen-heng realized the taste of 'elegance(雅趣)' through form of plants or planting method. Third, although plant preference of literati of both countries is similar in many parts, there is a slight difference for putting gardening plants in pots and appreciating them. For example, even for selecting or placing pots, simplicity and lightness are characteristically reflected from Gang Hui-an while splendor and refinedness are characteristically shown from Wen Zhen-heng. Moreover, in light of the taste of appreciation of literati of the Song Dynasty(宋代), which is a sample of literati spirit, Gang Hui-an inherited the inner world of the spirit whereas Wen Zhen-heng expressed 'literati-ness' in visual images.
To analyze the port choice hierarchy, factorial and AHP analysis were conducted based on the survey for shippers using west coastal ports. As the result of analysis with 17 factors, 6 main factors; port service, port operation and geographical condition, connectivity to hinterland, port cost, accessibility and facilities were chosen. Based on this, AHP and correlation analysis of each factor were conducted. And the results were shown as cost, service, facility, connectivity, accessibility and operation in order. In addition, several ways for incentive program, the most important factor based on AHP analysis, to influence shippers around west coastal port were reviewed. As the result of review for the incentive program of domestic container ports, it was shown that three ports, Gun-san, Dae-san and Mok-po, offer incentive to shipper while two ports, Pyeong-tak and Dang-jin, do not. Therefore, the former three ports need to reinforce the existing incentive program while the latter ones introduce it.
In the case of government policies related to the Arctic Ocean, there is a "Northern Sea activity promotion basic plan" presented by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, but it is difficult to adjust the timing of the policy enforcement and consider the importance of policies because no concrete order of enforcement of policies or weight has been presented by the government. In view of this, the purpose of this study was to estimate the priorities of the government's Arctic policies. Additionally, this study also presents priorities for "support measures" and "foreign cooperation measures" for the smooth implementation of Arctic policies. As for the methodology of this study, the CFPR (Consistent Fuzzy P reference Relations) method, which can comprehensively estimate expert opinions, was applied. According to the results of the analysis, the most important Arctic policy of the government was shown to be "Cooperation for Shipping and Logistics, such as Pioneering Northern Sea Routes" (0.087), followed by "Fostering Professional Manpower" (0.086), and "P reparing Institutional Foundation and Blueprint" (0.085). The results of this study have implications for the establishment of Arctic Ocean-related policies by policymakers as well as authorities.
