High-accuracy Motion Control of Linear Synchronous Motor (선형 동기 모터의 정밀모션 제어)

  • In this paper, the pole placement controller based on the Robust Internal-loop Compensator (RIC) structure, which has inherent structural equivalence to disturbance observer, is proposed to control a linear positioning system. This controller has the advantage to easily select controller gains by using pole placement without loss of that of original RIC structure. The principal is to construct the pole placement controller for a nominal internal model instead of unknown real plant. Using linear motion experiment showed the effectiveness of the proposed controller.

A Study on Motion Planning Generation of Jumping Robot Control Using Model Transformation Method (모델 변환법을 이용한 점핑 로봇 제어의 운동경로 생성에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we propose the method of a motion planning generation in which the movement of the 3-link leg subsystem is constrained to a slider-link and a singular posture can be easily avoided. The proposed method is the jumping control moving in vertical direction which mimics a cat's behavior. That is, it is jumping toward wall and kicking it to get a higher-place. Considering the movement from the point of constraint mechanical system, the robotic system which realizes the motion changes its configuration according to the position and it has several phases such as; ⅰ) an one-leg phase, ⅱ) in an air-phase. In other words, the system is under nonholonomic constraint due to the reservation of its momentum. Especially, in an air-phase, we will use a control method using state transformation and linearization in order to control the landing posture. Also, an iterative learning control algorithm is applied in order to improve the robustness of the control. The simulation results for jumping control will illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed control method.

A Fine Motion Mechanism of Dual Servo Control for Ultraprecision Positioning (초정밀 위치 결정을 위한 이중 서보 제어용 미세 구동 메카니즘)

  • In order to respond to the increasing demands of ultraprecision positioning mechanism in the field of precision engineering, more accurate stages are needed whose positioning uncertainty should be in the unprecedented level of nanometers, while maintaining a long travek range. For this application, most conventional stage mechanisms are found not suitable, so the concept of dual servo, which uses two different servos, is one of the new design and control strategies being extensively investigated these days, This paper presents a fine motion mechanism as a part of research on the dual servo control. The stage is made of a single structure of elastic flexure, whose xy .theta. motions are induced in the form of elastic deformation activated by three piezoelectric actuators. Experimental results show that the translational and rotational motions of the stage can be controlled with resolutions of 5 nm and 0.1 arcsec, respectively.

Road Adaptive Skyhook Control and HILS for Semi-Active Macpherson Suspension Systems (맥퍼슨형 반능동 현가장치의 노면적응형 스카이훅 제어와 HILS)

  • In this paper, a modified skyhook control for the semi-active Macpherson suspension system is investigated. A new model for the semi-active type suspension, which incorporates the rotational motion of the unsprung mass, is introduced and an output feedback control law using the skyhook control method is derived. The gains in the skyhook controller are adaptively adjusted by estimating the road conditions. Because two vertical acceleration sensors, one for the sprung mass and another for the unsprung mass, are used rather than using the angle sensor for the rotational motion of the control arm, the relative velocity of the rattle space is filtered using the acceleration signals. For testing the control performance, the actual damping force has been incorporated via the hardware-in-the-loop simulations. The performances of a passive damper and a semi-active damper are compared. Simulation results are provided.
