Telecommunication Network Optimization Current Status and Challenges (통신망 최적화 연구 동향)

  • This paper gives reviews on current research status in telecommunication network design. Two problems are identified as major research issues. One is the WDM network design problem, where traffic grooming, virtual topology design and routing and wavelength assignment problems are considered. The other is the OSPF weight setting problem which was proposed as a practical method to implement traffic engineering capability in IP networks. After presenting surveys on those problems, we discuss potential challenging research issues in telecommunication network design.

  • Sample size determination plays an important role in designing a bioequivalence trial. Formulae of sample sizes based on Schuirmann's two one-sided tests procedures are given for bioequivalence studies with the $2{\times}2$ crossover design and two-sample parallel design. A practical discussion for the relationship among these formulae is given.

  • A systematic method to find the optimal blank shape for sheet forming is proposed by coupling the numerical simulation technique. A weighted parameter was introduced in order to simplify the multi-variable optimization problem to a single-variable problem. The proposed method has been applied to the blank design of drawing processes to obtain the near-net shape within the required error bound after forming, Excellent results have been obtained between the numerical results and the target contour shapes. Through the investigation the proposed systematic method for optimal blank design is found to be effective in the practical forming processes

Design Consideration of Half-Bridge LLC Resonant Converter

  • LLC resonant converters display many advantages over the conventional LC series resonant converter such as narrow frequency variation over wide range of load and input variation and zero voltage switching even under no load conditions. This paper presents analysis and design consideration for the half bridge LLC resonant converter. Using the fundamental approximation, the gain equation is obtained, where the leakage inductance in the transformer secondary side is also considered. Based on the gain equation, the practical design procedure is investigated to optimize the resonant network for a given input/output specifications. The design procedure is verified through an experimental prototype of the 115W half-bridge LLC resonant converter.

  • It leaves much room for improvement that UTM-01 is of practical use. Therefor we will design of UTM-02 system. The design of new magnet is based on light weight for bogie system. We used Maxwell-3D FEM for design of new magnet. The new magnet for UTM-02 that was reduced weight of magnet. 22kg, then it was increased ratio lift to weight is 9.87.

  • This paper presents practical details about control-loop design and dynamic analysis for a voltage-mode controlled isolated double step-down DC-DC converter. Graphical loop gain method is used to design the feedback compensation and analyze the closed-loop performance of isolated double step-down DC-DC converter. The results of the control design and closed-loop analysis are validated by experiments on a prototype converter.

  • What's the direction of INTERIOR ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN in 21 Century High Tech\ulcorner The purpose of this research is to show not only practical use of Computer Graphic(CG) as simple tool function, but offering conversation with computer and other ways of method. When we consider poor CG market, investment on the research of VR(Virtual Reality) is the most urgent. The investment on VR will solve various problems. Firstly. It will solve the problems drived from Interior design process by making spatial images like reality. Secondly, It will solve high wages and financial difficulties caused by raise cost funds. Thirdly, It prevents in a road from foreign company that will bring enormous program, caused by opening the domestic market. Also, It help interior designer check in advance the problems in constructure through showing him a supposed imagination including the system and location of equipments. But it is reality that even ordinary American can't offer VR(Virtual Reality) System. We should have noted that it is normal to spend 10 billion won for such presentation as Model House in the large corporation. We must acknowledge that it is such a waist of money nationally. Therefore, investment on CG & VR System is essential in order to save cost more effective presentation & interior design. We will see great result within a year. As we can see, there is huge area we have make develop. One of them is specific technical plan on VR System and study of flow chart. We close with simple methodological way to use VR System and will study Computer System. Which is fitting to CG that we have to solve the link of hardware and software on VR System\ulcorner We know from the cases in other countries that continuous research on this subject has great value for Interior Architectural Design and its effective use. When we try hard not only for methodological use but practical use, the purpose of CG and VR System will be a factor to contribute on this subject for better Interior design & presentation.

  • This study is a practical research for setting a process of making references of design decision and guidlines of limitation in the movement from the design development to the construction design by StrAuto. StrAuto, as a parametric modeling and optimization tool for building structure, enables a quantity of design cases to be analyzed automatically by changing parameters of sturctural properties. So the designer using StrAuto can check a lot of analysis data crossing thousands of cases, see which case is out of acceptable range, and make a decision for design and optimization. In this thesis, the application of StrAuto optimization process to the residence tower UIC project shows the practical applicability in the construction design and value engineering. StrAuto optimized ideally volume of core walls by 31.3% and lead the final revised model applied to the construction design to reduce volume by 18.1%. The significance of this research is the implementation of process that the designer can quickly review a number of cases and get a direction for construction design and optimization after design development.

  • The purpose of this thesis is to study on the philosophical analysis model and its methodological application of information systems research evaluation from critical realist perspective. Fist of all, I examine ontological epistemological methodological assertions of critical realism. Because the philosophy of critical realism is an opportunity for information systems study. I examine Dobson and Mutch's critical realist perspective on actors-structure model. I suggest a critical realist actors-praxis-structure model. This model provides the potential for a new approach to social investigations in its provision of an ontology for the analytical separation of structure and agency. Of most importance might be the incorporation of non-humans into the analysis of social interaction and of technology into the elaboration of structures. I also examine Tsoukas's critical realistic meta-theory of management. I suggest a critical realist IS management model. This model elucidate the nature of management and delineate the scope of applicability of various perspectives on management. The causal powers of management reside in the real domain and, taken together, their logics are contradictory, the effects of their contradictory composition are contingent upon prevailing contingencies. I analyze Carlsson's theory of design knowledge. His framework builds on that the aim of IS design science research is to develop practical knowledge for the design and realization of different classes of IS initiatives, where IS are viewed as socio-technical systems and not just IT artefacts. The framework proposes that the output of IS design science research is practical IS design knowledge in the form of field-tested and grounded technological rules. The IS design knowledge is developed through an IS design science research cycle. In conclusion, I think that IS actors-praxis-structure model, meta-theoretical IS management model, and IS design knowledge model according to critical realistic approach are very useful for IS research evaluation. Nevertheless, important problems are left not resolved.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a capstone design program by applying a design thinking methodology to the digital healthcare field to cultivate creative convergence talents with complex and practical skills and understanding of new technologies required in the era of the 4th industrial revolution. To this end, we analyzed the literature and previous studies in the field of digital healthcare and capstone design and proposed a capstone design model and application plan in the field of digital healthcare. The effectiveness was confirmed through expert review, and the effectiveness was analyzed by pilot application of the capstone design program. This is meaningful in that it can be used as an operation guide that can be used step-by-step when applying the capstone design in the digital healthcare field.
