자기방전식제건기에 의한 대전물체의 제전 및 방전특성 (A Study on Characteristics of De-electrification and Discharge of Self-Discharged Electrostatic Reducer)

  • An electrostatic passive neutralizer without HV power source has been used widely to reduce charges on insulators such as running plastic films, papers and cloths, but its elimination characteristics and safely have been hardly investigated in detail. Especially, an operation of the passive neutralizer depends primarily on the charged insulator and the elimination ability does not depend on only the neutralizer, because an electrostatic elimination is caused by corona discharges occurring between the passive neutralizer and charged insulator. From a reason described above, the purpose of this study is to examine experimentally the elimination ability of the passive neutralizer. Experiments were made on the corona discharges between the passive neutralizer and charged insulator running at high velocity in practical field to make clear the setting condition of the passive neutralizer for operating effectively and safely. Results obtained from field experiments are presented in this paper.

공학설계와 지역사회봉사활동을 통합한 서비스러닝 교육프로그램 운영 사례 및 효과 (A case study on the effect of service learning education program integrating engineering design and community service activities)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a service learning education program for engineers and to investigate its educational effects. This study reviewed the concept and characteristics of service learning and examined the service learning education programs operated in higher education environments. The Service Learning Education Program was developed by integrating engineering design and community service activities. This program has been applied to the engineering education from 2014 to 2016. As a result of the study, the learners' satisfaction with service learning activities, empathy ability, and engineering design ability were improved. Based on the research results, practical implications are suggested to the instructors who want to develop the service learning education program for engineering students.

Determinants of User Satisfaction with Mobile VR Headsets: The Human Factors Approach by the User Reviews Analysis and Product Lab Testing

  • Since the VR market is expected to have a high growth, this study aimed to investigate the human factor-related determinants of user satisfaction with mobile VR headsets. A pre-study of customer reviews was conducted with the help of semantic network analysis to identify the core keywords for understanding negative and positive predictors of mobile VR headset experiences. Through laboratory testing with three different commercial models, the main study measured and identified the predictors of user satisfaction. From the results, five factors were extracted as valid predictor variables and used for regression analysis. These factors were immersion, VR sickness, usability, wear-ability and menu navigation interface. All the five predictors were proved to be significant determinants of the perceived user satisfaction with mobile VR headsets. Usability was the strongest predictor, followed by VR sickness and wear-ability. Practical and theoretical implications of the results were discussed.

공학교육에서 학습자 주도형 강의방법을 통한 학습효과 향상에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Enhancement of Learning Effects through Student-Oriented Teaching Methods in Engineering Education)

  • 공학교육에서 학생들의 학습효과를 향상시키고 학생들에게 현장실무능력을 제공할 수 있는 개선된 강의방법을 모색하였다. 본 대학 기계설계과 유공압공학 교과목을 수강하는 학생들을 대상으로 학습자 주도형 강의방법을 도입한 결과 학습동기유발, 학습의욕고취, 상상력과 창의력 배양, 문제해결능력 향상면에서 교수 주도형 강의방법보다 더 효과적이었다. 학습자 주도형 강의방법을 성공적으로 수행하기 위하여 실험 실습기자재를 갖춘 강의실에서 이론과 실험 실습의 통합강의를 하였으며, 학생들이 실험 실습을 통하여 충분한 경험을 습득하고 나서 실험 실습의 결과를 기초로 하여 교수가 제시하는 과제를 해결하는 과정에서 이론적 배경을 조사하도록 하였다. 과제는 학습목표를 달성하기 위한 실질적인 내용으로 제시하여 현장실무능력을 향상시키도록 하고 교수는 학생 스스로 문제를 해결하도록 도와주는 역할을 하는 것이 중요하다. 매시간 강의가 끝날 즈음에 학생들이 개별적으로 학업성취도, 질문사항 및 강의방법에 대한 설문지를 작성하도록 하고, 그 결과를 다음 강의에 적용함으로써 학생들의 수업에 대한 참여도와 교과목에 대한 관심도를 향상시킬 수 있다. 공학교육은 모든 교과목에서 현장실무능력, 상상력과 창의력 및 문제해결능력이 요구되므로, 교수 주도형 강의방법보다 학습자 주도형 강의방법을 도입하는 것이 바람직하다고 하겠다.

  • The semi-active suspension system is getting widely adopted in passenger vehicles for its ability to improve ride comfort over the passive suspension system while not degrading driving safety. A key to the success is to develop practical controllers that yield performance enhancement over the passive damper under various driving conditions. To this end, several control strategies have been studied and evaluated in this research in consideration of practical aspects such as nonlinearity and dynamics of the damper. From simulation results. it has been observed that, with the proposed control schemes, ride comfort can be significantly upgraded while suppressing degradation of driving safety.

시민단체와 공공기관의 사회환경교육 현황 -담당자의 환경에 대한 인식과 태도 조사를 통하여- (A Comparative Study on Nonformal Environmental Education Status between Civil Organizations and Public Organizations)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine and compare the current status of nonformal environmental education between civil and public organization. This study utilized a survey methodology, The survey was developed by the researchers and it has 4 subscales. The subjects consisted of 28 persons who are in charge of environmental education in civil organizations and 31 persons in public organizations. Descriptive statistics provided frequencies and percents for all demographic variables and items. Based on the findings of this study, it is firstly recommended that the government support environmental education policy that prioritizes nonformal environmental education for civil and public organizations. Secondly, both civil and public organizations should make continuing efforts for better nonformal environmental education programs and come up with practical ways to improve ability and quality of the staffs in the civil and public organizations by providing systematic reeducation programs and practical guidelines that would be applied to their daily lives.

  • Many prior researchers have repeatedly emphasized the importance of utilizing external knowledge as a critical factor for the success of organizational innovation. But they seem to have ignored the importance of the practical methods to advance the ability of finding new way of applying external knowledge to innovation activities. This paper suggests the exploitation of firm's knowledge base in innovative way as a practical method to utilize external knowledge for organizational innovation, because it could be possible to find out a common factor in external knowledge with organizational knowledge base by exploiting it. According to the empirical test with data of 1,143 manufacturing firms, all of the hypothesis were strongly supported.

  • The purpose of this paper, having chosen the connection method, filled by High-strength mortar, in conncetion of PC member, is to study the mechanical behaviour and practical usage of the method. The paper estimates the connection ability of Reinforced-bar, that is, Sleeve considering the effect of Reinforced-bar's dimeter. Sleeve's length and diameter in the structural behaviour of mortar-filled connection, therefore the behaviour of Splice-Sleeve exists in concrete practically. This paper discusses the effect of the concrete in Splice-Sleeve. Also, to estimate structural behaviour in a practical wall panel, the upper and bottom wall panels are produced and the behaviour of Splice-Sleeve is discussed. And then Vertical Tie Bar being designed by using Precast method, this paper presents the various application and the practicable method using Splice-Sleeve.

예비초등교사들의 시스템사고 능력 및 특성에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Abilities and Characteristics of the Systems Thinking for Pre-service Elementary Teachers)

  • This study focused on the analysis of the abilities and characteristics of the systems thinking for pre-service elementary teachers. Systems thinking is defined as the ability to see the world as a complex system in which one understands that everything is connected to everything else. For this study, 345 subjects carrying of the 2nd grade were selected and participated in making out the protocol developed by Sweeney and Sterman(2000) for the estimating ability of the systems thinking. As a result, the proportion of the correct answers based on the total points of view was 63%. However, the proportion of correct answer was considerably different according to the gender. The women group showed 53%, while the men group was 76%. Especially, there was a great difference in the rates of correct answer depending on their academic tracks of the humanities or natural science courses in the high school. The average rates of the correct answers for the natural science and the human science were 84 and 46%, respectively. Consequently, the ability of the systems thinking for pre-service elementary teachers is highly related with their gender and learning experience in the high school. The results of this study may contribute the practical use of the systems thinking in the area of the science education.
