비대칭 인체 기관지 분지관의 압력손실 특성 (Pressure-Loss Characteristics of an Asymmetric Bifurcation Model of Human Lung Airways)

  • 정밀한 물질분배기관인 인체 기관지의 기능을 이해하기 위해서는 호흡에서 발생하는 다양한 유동 및 형상 조건에서 압력손실특성을 파악하는 것이 필수적이다. 본 연구는 기관지 구조의 기본 단위인 분지관의 층류 흡기유동 압력손실을 수치해석을 통해 확인하였다. 인체 기관지에 대한 관찰에서 보고되는 비대칭 형상과 유량분배비율 범위 안에서 압력손실계수 K 는 Re 와 관의 길이만의 함수로 다음과 같이 표현이 가능하며 $K{\propto}Re^{-1}(\frac{L}{d})^{3/4}$, Re<100, $K{\propto}Re^{-1/2}\(\frac{L}{d}\)^{1/2}$, $Re\geq100$, 이는 대칭 분지관의 관계식과 동일한 것이다. 연속분지로 입구 유속분포가 편향될 경우 분지관 압력손실의 변화는 4% 미만이었으며 분지가 반복될수록 그 차이는 줄어들어 무시할 만하였다.

  • 무우쥬스 농축액의 저장성 및 활용성 증진을 위해 역삼투압법과 박막농축법 등을 이용하여 농축한 무우쥬스 농축액의 유통 특성을 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 무우쥬스 농축액은 약간의 의사가소성을 띠는 뉴턴유체의 흐름 특성을 보여주었다. 전단속도 1000(1/S)에서의 겉보기 점도는 1번 농축구(열처리 무우쥬스, 박막 농축구)가 0.0503Pa.s, 2번 농축구(생무우쥬스, 박막농축구)가 0.0578, 3번 농축구(열처리 무우쥬스, 역삼투압 농축구)가 0.0655Pa.s 값을 각각 나타내었다. 각 농축액 항복력은 $35{\sim}65^{\circ}Bx$에서 $0.0001{\sim}0.0580Pa$ 범위로 아주 적은 값이어서 power law model만 갖고도 흐름 특성의 해석이 가능하였으며 또한 Arrehenius식에 의해 구한 활성화에너지는 무우쥬스 농축액의 농도가 높아질수록 2.7057에서 $4.1159{\times}10^4KJ/kg.mol$로 증가하였다.

약액주입 사질고결토의 크리프 예측 (Creep Prediction of Chemical Grouted Sands)

  • 본 연구에서는 약액주입 사질고결토에 대해 일정재하크리프시험과 반복재하크리프시험을 실시하여 점 탄소성 거동 규명과 크리프예측을 수행하였다. 일정재하크리프 시험결과 총 변형률은 탄성, 소성 그리고 점탄성변형률로 구분되었으며 이러한 변형률은 응력의 증가에 비례하여 증가하였고 회복된 변형률은 제하시간에 무관함을 알았다. 일정재하크리프시험 예측결과 일반화된 모델과 지수함수모델은 시험결과와 잘 일치하였다. 반복재하크리프시험에서 순간회복변형률은 반복횟수에 무관하였고 누적소성 변형률은 반복횟수에 따라 증가하였으며 응력레벨에 비례함을 알 수 있었다. 반복재하크리프시험의 예측결과 첫 사이클에서는 잘 일치하였으나 반복횟수가 증가함에 따라 약간의 오차가 발생되었다.

Bending analysis of functionally graded thick plates with in-plane stiffness variation

  • In the present paper, functionally graded (FG) materials are presented to investigate the bending analysis of simply supported plates. It is assumed that the material properties of the plate vary through their length according to the power-law form. The displacement field of the present model is selected based on quasi-3D hyperbolic shear deformation theory. By splitting the deflection into bending, shear and stretching parts, the number of unknowns and equations of motion of the present formulation is reduced and hence makes them simple to use. Governing equations are derived from the principle of virtual displacements. Numerical results for deflections and stresses of powerly graded plates under simply supported boundary conditions are presented. The accuracy of the present formulation is demonstrated by comparing the computed results with those available in the literature. As conclusion, this theory is as accurate as other shear deformation theories and so it becomes more attractive due to smaller number of unknowns. Some numerical results are provided to examine the effects of the material gradation, shear deformation on the static behavior of FG plates with variation of material stiffness through their length.

산업용 청소기 모터의 가속수명시험 (Accelerated Life Test of Industrial Cleaner Motor)

  • Purpose: In this study, the life of the motor is investigated by performing the accelerated life test with the brush wear of the industrial cleaner motor as the main failure mode. Methods: The accelerating stress factor of the accelerated life test is a voltage, which can increase the number of revolutions of the motor to accelerate the brush wear due to the friction between the brush and the commutator. Also, the accelerating stress level was determined after determining the maximum allowable level of the voltage through the preliminary test. Results: The motor failure time at each accelerating stress level was predicted by regression analysis with brush wear length as performance degradation data. The main failure mode, which is brush wear, of the motor was reproduced by this test. The shape parameter of the Weibull distribution was confirmed to be the same statistically at all accelerating stress levels by the likelihood ratio test. Conclusion: The life of the motor was investigated by performing the accelerated life test with the brush wear of the industrial cleaner motor as the main failure mode. Through the accelerating test method of the cleaner motor, various life expectancy and life expectancy of the acceleration factor are predicted.

  • In this work, an efficient and simple quasi-3D hyperbolic shear deformation theory is developed for bending and vibration analyses of functionally graded (FG) plates resting on two-parameter elastic foundation. The significant feature of this theory is that, in addition to including the thickness stretching effect, it deals with only 5 unknowns as the first order shear deformation theory (FSDT). The foundation is described by the Pasternak (two-parameter) model. The material properties of the plate are assumed to vary continuously in the thickness direction by a simple power law distribution in terms of the volume fractions of the constituents. Equations of motion for thick FG plates are obtained within the Hamilton's principle. Analytical solutions for the bending and free vibration analysis are obtained for simply supported plates. The numerical results are given in detail and compared with the existing works such as 3-dimensional solutions and those predicted by other plate theories. It can be concluded that the present theory is not only accurate but also simple in predicting the bending and free vibration responses of functionally graded plates resting on elastic foundation.

  • This work investigates a new type of quasi-3D hyperbolic shear deformation theory is proposed in this study to discuss the statics and free vibration of functionally graded porous plates resting on elastic foundations. Material properties of porous FG plate are defined by rule of the mixture with an additional term of porosity in the through-thickness direction. By including indeterminate integral variables, the number of unknowns and governing equations of the present theory is reduced, and therefore, it is easy to use. The present approach to plate theory takes into account both transverse shear and normal deformations and satisfies the boundary conditions of zero tensile stress on the plate surfaces. The equations of motion are derived from the Hamilton principle. Analytical solutions are obtained for a simply supported plate. Contrary to any other theory, the number of unknown functions involved in the displacement field is only five, as compared to six or more in the case of other shear and normal deformation theories. A comparison with the corresponding results is made to verify the accuracy and efficiency of the present theory. The influences of the porosity parameter, power-law index, aspect ratio, thickness ratio and the foundation parameters on bending and vibration of porous FG plate.

  • 본 논문은 헬기용 주륜 착륙장치의 기본 성능 향상 뿐 만 아니라 Fail-Safe 성능 및 소모 전력량을 개선할 목적으로, 전자석에 영구자석을 장착한 하이브리드 MR댐퍼형의 반능동제어 착륙장치를 도입하였다. 영구자석 위치에 따른 비교연구와 자기장 해석을 통해 원하는 제어력이 발생하는 MR댐퍼를 설계하였고 착륙 거동 시 내력으로 발생되는 공기력과 감쇠력의 합을 특정 값에서 일정하게 유지시키는 개념의 하중제어기법을 제어기로 적용하였다. 하이브리드 MR댐퍼를 이용한 하중제어의 착륙장치에 대하여 구성한 ADAMS 모델을 기반으로 낙하 시뮬레이션을 수행하였고 착륙특성에 대한 성능평가로 성능 개선을 확인하였다.

5-methyl-4-imidazolecarboxylic Acid Ester 연속합성의 반응속도론 및 특성 연구 (A Study on Kinetic Model for the Formation of 5-methyl-4-imidazolecarboxylic Acid Ester)

  • Ethylacetoacetate로부터 2단계의 연속합성을 통하여 생성되는 5-methyl-4-imidazolecarboxylic acid ester의 합성반응 속도론과 중간 생성물인 ${\alpha}$, {\beta}$-dioxobutyric acid(일명 diketone)의 반응 안정성을 연구하였다. 반응속도 결정단계는 ${\alpha}$-acetyl-${\alpha}$-hydroxy iminoacetic acid(oxime)로부터 diketone으로 진행되는 과정으로서 반응속도에 영향을 미치는 주된 인자로는 Oxime, HCl의 농도와 반응온도임을 확인하였고 HCl 농도 4.6~8.0M 반응온도 $8.5{\sim}20^{\circ}C$의 변화에 따른 diketone의 최대 반응수율 변화는 50~74%이었다. Power-law 수식모델 및 회분식 반응기 empirical data로부터 diketone 생성반응 속도식을 구하였으며 이 식이 실험 Data와 잘 일치하고 있음을 보였다. 본 연구는 5-methyl-4-imidazolecarboxylic acid ester 연속반응 공정개발의 기초단계로서 반응속도론 연구를 통하여 합성 반응의 특성을 파악하는데 중요한 의의를 두고 있다.

Comparative Proteomic Profiling of Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma Cell Lines

  • Pancreatic cancer is one of the most fatal cancers and is associated with limited diagnostic and therapeutic modalities. Currently, gemcitabine is the only effective drug and represents the preferred first-line treatment for chemotherapy. However, a high level of intrinsic or acquired resistance of pancreatic cancer to gemcitabine can contribute to the failure of gemcitabine treatment. To investigate the underlying molecular mechanisms for gemcitabine resistance in pancreatic cancer, we performed label-free quantification of protein expression in intrinsic gemcitabine-resistant and -sensitive human pancreatic adenocarcinoma cell lines using our improved proteomic strategy, combined with filter-aided sample preparation, single-shot liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry, enhanced spectral counting, and a statistical method based on a power law global error model. We identified 1931 proteins and quantified 787 differentially expressed proteins in the BxPC3, PANC-1, and HPDE cell lines. Bioinformatics analysis identified 15 epithelial to mesenchymal transition (EMT) markers and 13 EMT-related proteins that were closely associated with drug resistance were differentially expressed. Interestingly, 8 of these proteins were involved in glutathione and cysteine/methionine metabolism. These results suggest that proteins related to the EMT and glutathione metabolism play important roles in the development of intrinsic gemcitabine resistance by pancreatic cancer cell lines.
