  • XLPE compound have used for insulation of 22.9kV power cable. XLPE insulation is aged for use long time in distribution line. The cause of aging is water tree is happening and growth. Accelerated water tree test method are Accelerated volatge aging method and high frequency aging method. In this paper, high frequency accelerated water tree was performed. And the result was analysed AC breakdown voltage and size and number of water trees.

  • An experimental study on LII signal images from soot particles in a flame has been carried out in order to investigate the effect of the incident laser characteristics. By changing the wavelength of the incident laser beam, the LII signal was saturated at smaller laser power with 532 nm than 1,064 nm. This implies that the larger absorption coefficient of soot particles at 532 nm would influence the LII signal characteristic. Using the deconvolution technique, the projected LII line images were coverted to reconstruct the local LII signals inside the beam. The results show that the LII images at ICCD camera result from the integration of LII signal across the laser beam.

  • Various types suspension insulators made of toughness glass or porcelain are used in the power transmission. And, Insulators are continually subject to mechanical and electrical stresses which depend on the characteristics of the line. The main factor that influence the increase in reliability of insulators. In operation is the capacity of the design to withstand the certain load over a long time, the mechanical strength of the insulators. This paper describes the results of a study on the stress analysis of suspension insulator based on the finite element analysis using NASTRAN. And, the mechanical strength was evaluated through such as kinds of pin type.

  • As the penetration of different types of renewable energy sources (RES) and energy storage systems (ESS) increases, the importance of stability in AC microgrid is being emphasized. Especially, RES and ESS which are operated using power electronics have difference in output characteristics according to control structures. When faults like single-line-to-ground fault or islanding operation occur, this means that a fault should be interpreted in different way. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze fault characteristics in AC microgrid in case of grid-connected mode and standalone mode. In this paper, the fault analysis for AC microgrid is carried out using PSCAD/EMTDC and an overvoltage problem and the countermeasures were proposed.

  • Globalization of production, changing technology in ocean shipping sector, shifting bargaining power from port service provider to port users, changing distribution patterns of the containerization and new implementation for the environment and safety concerns introduced new ways of administration in port sector. In these days, port industries cannot survive alone. Port operation and management has to be proactive to cooperate and integrate with other port operators or other industries. In the 21st century, cooperation in maritime sector is more common than that in the past with several different reasons in a mixture of forms of cooperation. Cooperation among port authorities, port operators, shipping line, inland transport service providers and/or related organizations themselves becomes to exist to overcome the challenges and development of the global transport chain. This paper investigates the concept of port cooperation and the case analysis of the cooperation in the port industry.

  • 우리 나라의 전력 계통은 대도시 중심부 등 사람의 왕래가 빈번한 곳이나 신도시 지역 등에 22.9kV-y 배전 방식으로 CNCV 지중 케이블로 전력을 공급하고 있으며, 선로 운영상 케이블의 동심중성선을 일정 구간 마다 3선 일활 공동 접지하는 다중 접지방식을 채택하고 있다. 이는 지락 사고시에는 동심 중성선의 대지 전위 상승을 일정 값 이하로 제한함과 동시에 보호계전기의 동작을 원활히 하기 위함이다. 그러나 지중 배전 선로에서 각 상(A,B,C상)의 부하가 불평형이 될 때는 물론 평형일 경우에도 동심 중성선에는 부하 전류에 비례하는 동심 중성선 순환 전류가 발생되고 있기 때문에 불필요한 손실 전력이 발생하며, 이러한 손실 전력으로 케이블의 내부 온도가 상승되어 케이블의 송진용량이 감소하게 된다. 따라서 2006년 7월12일${\sim}$14일 대한전기학회 하계학술대회에 이에 대한 문제점과 대책으로 비일괄공동접지에 관한 연구 논문을 발표 한 바 있으며, 본 인구는 일곽공동접지방식의 기능을 저해하지 않으면서 비일관공동접지기술을 안전하게 시행하는 방법과 예상되는 문제점 및 시행효과 검증에 관한 연구이다.

  • This paper presents evaluating procedure for engine generator operated over 13 years which are usually installed at the island and therefore, isolated to the main distribution line. To decide continual operation of the generator, their diagnosis results should guarantee safety running. So the determination of criteria for continual usage or replacement is essential for economical and reliable maintenance. We present all the courses of evaluating the condition which includes the processes from acquiring basic data to comprehensive determination of generators. All the test was applied to serial number 3 generator in Jodo Engine Power Plant.

  • The proper installation of SPD and the evaluation of the SPD protection distance are basic steps for the effective protection measures of apparatus against surges within a structure. A novel method for installing SPD on the conventional distribution board without any modification was proposed and it's effectiveness was evaluated by experiments. Also, the transient overvoltage occurred across the power line from the SPD to the load was simulated with EMTP software to see how different the protection distances affecting the magnitude of the transient overvoltage. As evaluated, the effective protection method of apparatus against surges, coordinated SPD protection system is suggested as a proper measure to protect within the apartment.

  • This paper describes the comparison of Two frequency ranges for power line communication. The first one is that the frequency range from 100 to 400 KHz is supported by the Federal Communication Committee(FCC). The other one is that the frequency range from 1MHz to 30MHz is based on the European-supported EN5006A band. In this paper, the advantages and disadvantages of their frequency ranges are discussed for PLC. By ATP/EMTP software, the signal attenuation is simulated both the frequency ranges. It shows that the signal attenuation is bigger at high frequency than at low frequency.

An Analysis on the KSTAR neutral beam injection line (KSTAR 중성입자빔 수송라인 해석)

  • The analysis on heat fluxed on and transmission efficiencies by the collimators of neutral beam injection lines in KSTAR tokamak device has been carried out. And a mathematical model describing non-Gaussian beam distribution profile has been established. A neutral beam injection device is composed of 3 separate ion sources and corresponding beam transport lines, which deal with 7.8 MW of beam power, respectively. The divergence angles of ion beam are $1.2^{\circ}$and $0.5^{\circ}$, in vertical and horizontal directions, respectively. The maximum normal heat load on source exit scraper is 9.1 kW/$\textrm{cm}^2$ and net beam transmission efficiency is ~28%. The effect of misalignment of ion source and scrapers on the scraper heat load and beam transmission also has been analyzed.
