Allylamine계 항균제를 이용한 인조스웨드 직물의 항균코팅에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Antimicrobial Finishing of Artificial Suede by Allylamine Copolymers)

  • This study was carried out to develope antimicrobial artificial suede by coating with water soluble polyurethane resin and the copolymer of N,N'-dialkyl-N,N'-dialkyl ammonium chloride (DADAAC) and acrylamide as a antimicrobial additve. The copolymer of DADAAC and acrylamide was synthesized by free radical initiation and intra-intermolecular propagation, and the prepared copolymers had sufficient compatibility with water soluble polyurethane resin. The MIC values of the prepared copolymers and antimicrobial characteristics of the artificial suede coated by polyurethane were evaluated. With the increase in the proportion of DADAAC, which is antimicrobially active part in the DADAAC/acrylamide copolymers, the MIC value becomes lower. The MIC value of DADAAC-AA (1 : 1) copolymer is below 30 ppm against S. aureus, and below 90 ppm against K pneumoniae. The artificial suede coated by water soluble polyurethane resin with 1.0% owl concentration of DADAAC/acrylamide copolymer has good antimicrobial fastness as to show colony reduction of above 90% and 80% against S. aureus and K. pneumoniae respectively in the shake flask test after 10 times of washing, and above 95% and 85% after 10 times of dry-cleaning. The elastic recovery of coated suede fabric is not affected up to 1.0% owf concentration of DADAAC-AA copolymer in the polyurethane coating.

  • Recently, Waterhorne polyurethane(WBPU) have been used for a wide range of commercial applications due to the increasing environmental regulation to reduce low-volatile organic compounds in coating and adhesives materials [1-8]. The WBPU was used in coating industry on fiber at first, and its market is increasing these days. Especially, the Waterborne polyurethane film even is widely used in the field of breathable coating fiber or medical science [9-10]. 물유리코팅에 따른 폴리우레탄 폼의 난연성능 개선에 대한 연구 (Improvement of Flame-Retardant Performance of Polyurethane Foam Coated with Water Glass)

  • 경질 폴리우레탄(Polyurethane) 폼(Foam)의 난연 성능을 개선하기 위하여 외부에 물유리를 코팅하였다. 무기질인 물유리 코팅층이 적용된 우레탄폼의 콘칼로리메터의 열방출율(Heat release rate)은 급격히 감소하였다. 폴리우레탄 표면에 코팅된 물유리는 화염에 노출되었거나 가열되었을 때 유리화 반응과 미 탈출 수분에 의한 발포현상으로 인해 유리질 폼을 형성하게 된다. 폴리우레탄 폼 위에 형성된 유리질 폼은 단열층이 되어 10 min 이상 폴리우레탄 폼의 연소를 억제하였다. 이러한 결과에 따라서 물유리는 경질 폴리우레탄 폼의 난연 특성을 개선할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • The recent surge in night walkers and pedestrian traffic accidents has led to an increased interest in retro-reflection-based products, leading to several studies on retro-reflection. Nonetheless, achieving high durability and dispersibility of retro-reflective glass beads in viscous polyurethane coating resin remains challenging. To address this issue, this study conduct to functionalize the surface of glass beads for covalent conjugation to coating resin to enhance their dispersibility and durability in the coating resin. The study evaluated the dispersibility, chemical composition, and retro-reflection properties of the functionalized glass beads and coating resin. The results showed that the functionalized glass beads conjugated to the polyurethane coating resin and exhibited excellent dispersibility, high durability, and maintained retro-reflection efficiency.

Preparation and Tactile Performance of Soluble Eggshell Membrane (S-ESM) Embedded Waterborne Polyurethane (WPU) Composite

  • Herein, we propose a facile water-processible method to develop an eggshell membrane (ESM)-embedded waterborne polyurethane (WPU)-based bio-degradable and bio-compatible coating material that exhibits attractive tactile properties. Virgin ESM is not dispersible in water. Hence, to develop the ESM-based WPU composite, soluble ESM (S-ESM) was first extracted by de-crosslinking the ESM. The extracted S-ESM at different concentrations (0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5 wt %) was mixed with WPU. Compared to virgin WPU, the viscosity of S-ESM/WPU dispersion and the in-plane coefficient of friction (COF) of the composite film surfaces decreased with an increase in the S-ESM content. In addition, an increase in the S-ESM content improved the tribo-positive characteristics of the film. Different good touch-feeling biomaterials, such as fur, feather, and human skin exhibit tribo-positivity. Thus, the enhanced tribo-positive characteristics of the S-ESM/WPU and the decrease in their COF owing to an increase in the S-ESM content imply the enhancement of its touch-feeling performance. The S-ESM embedded WPU composites have potential applications as coating materials in various fields, including automobile interiors and artificial leather.

  • Isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI), polycarbonate diol (PCD), dimethylol propionic acid (DMPA)를 출발물질로 하여 수분산 폴리우레탄(waterborne polyurethane dispersion, PUD)을 합성하였다. 이 PUD에 아크릴 단량체인 HEMA (2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate)와 MMA (methyl methacrylate)의 혼합물을 첨가하여 수분산 폴리우레탄-아크릴 혼성 용액을 제조하였다. 그 결과 제조된 혼성 용액의 평균 입도는 아크릴 단량체의 첨가량이 증가함에 따라 증가하였다. 또한 수분산 폴리우레탄-아크릴 혼성 용액으로부터 제조된 코팅 도막의 내마모성과 내화학성은 순수한 PUD 보다 크게 향상되었다.

실란커플링제 종류 변화가 수분산 폴리우레탄의 특성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Types of Silane Coupling Agents on the Properties of Waterborne Polyurethane)

  • Isophorone diisocyanate(IPDI), poly(tetramethylene glycol)(PTMG), dimethylol propionic acid(DMPA)를 출발물질로하여 NCO terminated prepolymer가 합성되었다. 이 prepolymer의 NCO기를 실란으로 capping하기 위해 다양한 실란커플링제인 methyltrimethoxysilane(MTMS), glycidoxypropyl trimethoxysilane(GPTMS), methacryloxypropyl trimethoxysilane(MPTMS), aminopropyl triethoxysilane(APS)이 첨가되었다. 제조된 용액의 평균 입경은 실란커플링제가 첨가되면서 증가하였다. 또한 실란커플링제인 GPTMS, MPTMS, APS의 첨가는 코팅 막의 연필경도를 향상시킬 수 있었으나, MTMS의 첨가는 코팅 막의 연필경도를 향상시킬 수 없었다.

Buffalo Leather 코팅에 대한 수분산 폴리우레탄의 합성 및 3가 알콜 첨가에 의한 물성변화 연구 (A Study on the Property Changes by Trihydric Alcohol Addition Reaction and Polyurethane Dispersion Synthesis for Buffalo Leather Coatings)

  • Buffalo leather 표면 코팅에 사용된 폴리우레탄 수지에 glycerol의 함유를 mole % 비로 달리하면서 첨가 하였다. 합성된 폴리우레탄 수지의 기계적 특성은 SEM, FT-IR, UTM 등을 이용하여 측정하였다. 친환경적인 고분자 수지의 관심이 고조됨에 따라 용제의 사용을 최소화한 buffalo leather 코팅에 사용되는 수분산 수지를 합성하였다. 지방족 3가 알콜인 glycerol의 mole % 비가 증가함에 따라 내마모도, 인장강도가 감소함을 알 수 있었다. 반대로 연신율, 내굴곡 물성은 증가함을 알 수 있었다. Toluene을 이용한 내용제성 물성측정 결과에는 glycerol의 mole % 증가에 따른 물성 증감 효과는 없었다.
