원자력발전소용 리튬폴리머 배터리 랙 시스템의 내진성능평가 (Seismic Performance Evaluation of the Li-Polymer Battery Rack System for Nuclear Power Plant)

  • 후쿠시마 원전사고 이후 비상 배터리 시설에 대한 안전성 강화가 요구되면서 리튬 폴리머 배터리를 적용한 새로운 전원 공급장치가 국내에서 세계 최초로 제안되었다. 그러나 제안된 기술을 현장에 적용하기 위해서는 배터리 장치가 설치되는 랙 시스템의 내진 안전성이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 세계 최초로 72시간 용량 확보를 위해 개발 된 리튬폴리머 배터리 장치를 대상으로 지진 발생 시 전원장치의 안전성을 확보하기 위해 설계 된 전원장치 스트링 및 랙 프레임에 대한 내진성능을 평가하고자 하였다. 실험 결과 1) 단위 랙 시스템의 공진대역은 9 Hz로서 지진하중 전 후의 고유진동수가 변하지 않음에 따라 설계지진하중에 대한 부재 및 부재간의 연결부에 대한 안전성을 확인할 수 있었다. 원전 설계기준 OBE와 SSE에서의 가속도 응답 결과 2) 스트링 제작에 의한 진동 저감 효과가 약 20%정도 보였으며, 3) OBE, SSE 조건에서의 내진시험 결과 랙 프레임 시스템은 설계지진에 대해 안전한 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구에서 제시한 랙 시스템은 요구 지진력에 대한 구조적 건전성이 입증되었으므로 원전 시설에 적용이 가능한 것으로 나타났다.

  • 최근 스마트폰 기술이 발달함에 따라 웨어러블 기기의 발전 속도도 빨라지고 있다. 그러나, 웨어러블 기기는 소형으로 제작되어 사용되기 때문에 작은 전력으로 오랫동안 동작되게 하는 것이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 웨어러블 기기 사용 편리성을 극대화하기 위해서 소형화된 웨어러블 기기에 적합한 효율적인 리듐 폴리머 배터리 모델을 설계 및 구현한다. 제안된 모델은 열전소자를 응용하여 배터리 크기를 소형화하고 배터리 용량을 경량화한 한 것이 특징이다. 또한, 제안 모델은 Peltier device의 특성을 이용하여 사람의 체온과 상온의 온도 차를 이용하여 전력을 발생시켜 충전을 하는 방식을 사용하기 때문에 웨어러블 기기의 사용 시간을 대폭 향상 시켜준다. 특히, 제안 모델은 웨어러블 기기뿐만 아니라 스마트폰의 보조 충전용으로도 사용 가능한다.

  • Bimodal Tram developed by KRRI is driven by a series Hybrid propulsion system which has both the CNG engine, generator and LPB(Lithium Polymer Battery) pack. It has three driving modes; Hybrid mode, Engine mode and Battery mode. Even in case of Battery mode, LPB pack to get enough power to drive the vehicle only by itself onsists of 168 LPB cells(80Ah per lcell), 650V. It is important thing to manage LPB pack in a right way, which will extend the lifetime of LPB cells and operate in the hybrid mode effectively. This paper has shown the development of battery management system(12 BMS, 1 BMS per 14cells) to manage LPB pack which is connected with CAN(Controller Area Network) each other and measure the voltage, current, temperature and also control the cooling fan inside of LPB pack. Using the measured data, BMS can show the SOC(State of Charge), SOH(State of Health) and other status of LPB pack including of the cell balancing.

영상처리를 이용한 전기자동차 배터리 극판의 검사 시스템 (Inspection System of Electric Vehicle Battery Plate Using Image Processing)

  • In this paper, we developed the inspection system of electric vehicle battery plate using image processing. Four cameras are used for acquiring the principal parts of the plate, and several steps of image processing for extracting significant dimensions of the plate such as widths and lengths. As a preceding step, calibration of four cameras is carried for compensating distorted images using dot-arrayed sheet. Coordinate systems for four cameras are defined where one coordinate system is assigned to the reference coordinate system to which the others are relatively described. Line information of the edge in the windowed image is extracted using elaborate edge-detection algorithm, and finally the intersection points between lines are extracted to calculate widths and lengths of the plate from which the error status of the battery plate is decided.

  • 상온$\cdot$상압에서 운전되는 휴대전원용 연료전지 시스템에서 연료에 따른 애노드와 캐소드의 전위특성과 알코올 크로스오버의 영향 및 운전에 적합한 알코올 연료의 농도를 확인한 결과, 고분자 전해질 막을 통한 액상연료의 크로스오버는 메탄올, 에탄올, 그리고 이소프로필 알코올 모두에서 발생하였고, 고정형 연료시스템을 적용한 단위전지의 성능은 4.5 M의 메탄올이 0.23V에서 $31mW/cm^2$로 가장 우수하였다.

  • In recent years, the rapid growth of portable electronic devices requires the high-energy density characteristics of batteries. Zinc air batteries have specific capacity as high as 820mAh/g. However, Zinc air batteries used for hearing aid applications only so far, because the atmosphere could affect it, and it has weakness in the rate capability. However, recent developments of electrode manufacturing technologies made us to overcome that weakness. And the efforts of applying zinc air batteries to portable electronic devices, especially in cellular phone application have been increased. In this paper, the effects of conducting material and polymer binder in cathode on the electrochemical characteristics were investigated. Our research team succeeded in producing 2.4Ah class zinc air battery for cellular phone application. Its volumetric energy density was 920 wh/l, and gravimetric energy density was 308 wh/kg. The volumetric energy density of our zinc air battery is two times higher than one of lithium secondary battery, and three times higher than that of alkaline manganese battery.

  • Polyphenylenediamine(PPD) film was prepared with dimethylsulfoxide after the synthesis of PPD by chemical polymerization. The molecular structure of conductive polymer synthesized were discussed by using SEM, FT-IR, NMR. The electrical conductivity measurements were carried out at room temperature. The electrical conductivity which was obtained from electrical instrument was 1.98${\times}$10$\^$-2/ S/cm at ambient temperature.

Ionic Conductivity of Anion Receptor Grafted Siloxane Polymers for Solid Polymer Electrolytes

  • We have prepared siloxane polymers grafted with trifluoromethane-sulfonylamide and oligoether side chains for solid polymer electrolytes with enhanced ionic conductivity. The grafted trifluoromethane sulfonylamide groups seem to be effective as an anion recepting site to enhance the ionic conductivity of the solid polymer electrolyte. The anion receptor grafted siloxane polymers showed one order of magnitude higher ionic conductivity than the siloxane polymers without anion receptor grafts. The fitting parameter A of the VTF plot which was related to the carrier density of the electrolyte increased with increasing the number of grafted anion receptor. The results of experiment indicate that the anion-complexing site of the anion receptor grafted polymer host effectively traps the anions. The anion receptor grafted polymer was found to be a promising material for lithium polymer batteries.

  • In this paper, the paralleled forward converter, that is generally used as the power supply for the low voltage, high current load, is described. The proposed forward converter for battery charging could be provided the power without failure not only in steady state but also in the transient period by the step load variation or the unexpected faults among the converter modules. Each converter nodule designed is operated alone with the self closed controller for the elevation of stability, performance, reliability, and maintainability. The frequency response of the designed converter module is analyzed, and the stability is confirmed in analytic method. And the experiments of the paralleled battery charger are carried out in steady state, in the step load variation.

  • A bimodal tram is being developed to combine the flexibility of a bus with the punctuality of a train. The propulsion system is a series hybrid type using a set of CNG engine generator and Li-polymer battery. This paper presents the experimental results of the series hybrid propulsion power unit using an active loader which can simulate powering and regenerative braking conditions of the propulsion equipments continuously. The power sharing scheme between PWM converter and a battery pack has been observed. The measurement results of DC link voltage and SOC(State Of Charge) of battery pack are presented.
