PVA/PAN 중공사 복합막을 이용한 IPA수용액의 투과증발분리 (Pervaporation Separation of Water-Isopropyl Alcohol Mixtures Using PVA/PAN Hollow Fiber Composite Membranes)

  • 지지체인 Polyacrylonitrile (PAN) 중공사에 Poly (vinyl alcohol) (PVA)과 가교제인 Glutaraldehyde (GA)를 코팅하여 막을 제조하였으며, 특성평가를 위해 물/Isopropyl alcohol (IPA) 혼합액에 대한 투과증발 실험을 수행하였다. 코팅용액의 조성변화와 반응온도의 조건변화에 따른 투과도 및 선택도를 측정하였고, 공급액의 조성은 85 wt% IPA 수용액을 사용하였으며, 온도는 30, 50, 70, $90^{\circ}C$로 변화시켰다. 투과도는 PVA 3.5 wt%, 공급액 온도가 $90^{\circ}C$일 때 1,870 $g/m^2{\cdot}hr$, 선택도는 PVA 7 wt% 공급액 온도가 $30^{\circ}C$일 때 804로 가장 높은 값을 얻을 수 있었다.

  • Poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) gels are easily formed via physical pathway. Most PVA solutions including PVA/water solution are well known to form thermally reversible gels at low temperature but these gels showed poor mechanical properties. In order to overcome this weak point, transparent crosslinked PVA hydrogels were prepared by electron beam irradiation or by chemical process with crosslinking agents or additives. (omitted)

  • Nanoscaled PVA fibers were prepared by electrospinning. This paper described the electrospinning process, the processing conditions fiber morphology, and some potential applications of the PVA nato-fibers. PVA fibers with various diameters (50-250 nm) were obtained by changing solution concentration, voltage and tip to collector distance (TCD). The major factor was the concentration of PVA solution which affected the fiber diameter evidently. Increasing the concentration, the fiber diameter was increased, and the amount of beads was reduced even to 0%. The fibers were found be efficiently crosslinked by glyoxal during the curing process. Phosphoric acid was used as a catalyst activator to reduce strength losses during crosslinking. Scanning electron micrograph (SEM) and differential scanning calorimetric (DSC) techniques were employed to characterize the morphology and crosslinking of PVA fibers. It was fecund that the primary factor which affected the crosslinking density was the content of chemical crosslinking agent.

  • The effects of substituting cement with fly ash(10%, 15%, 20%) and different fiber addition(polypropylene, cellulose, poly vinyl alcohol), on the control of microcrack and enhanced durability performance of face slab concrete in CFRD was studied experimentally It was conducted experiments of plastic shrinkage of mortar and concrete, and drying shrinkage of concrete. Also, durability test were carried out the chloride permeability, abrasion resistance and freeze-thaw repetition. Through the experimental results, it was concluded that ploy vinyl alcohol fiber containing concrete was the most effective mixture in control of cracking and durability.

전기방사를 이용한 Poly(vinyl alcohol)/TiO2 나노섬유 제조 (Electrospinning Fabrication of Poly(vinyl alcohol)/TiO2 Nanofibers)

  • Poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA)/titanium dioxide ($TiO_2$) composite nanofibers were produced at different $TiO_2$ concentrations (0.5, 1 and 1.5 wt.%) using the electrospinning method. The parameters of electrospinning including polymer contents, voltage and tip-to-collector distance (TCD) were optimized for fabrication process. The study showed that 7.5 wt.% PVA, 15 kV applied voltage and 15 cm TCD are the best condition to obtain uniform PVA/$TiO_2$ nanofibers. $TiO_2$ nanoparticles give significant effect in fiber morphology. $TiO_2$ content increases the diameter of the fibers and roughen the fiber surfaces. The PVA/$TiO_2$ nanofibers were characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD).

  • Poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) obtained from PVPi has the highest syndiotacticity among (PVA)s obtained via radical polymerization, and the s-diad content of PVA prepared by low temperature polymerization of vinyl pivalate (VPi)[1-5] comes to eve. 60%, Therefore, we an obtain (PVA)s with various tacticities through the copolymerization of vinyl acetate (VAc) and VPi and can examine the relation between physical properties of (PVA)s and their tacticities.
