  • This paper has proposed a serial 8-bit DAC for column driver circuits of mobile displays using LTPS TFTs. The DAC circuit takes very small area by using parasitic capacitance of column lines as sampling and holding capacitors. Moreover, the proposed DAC does not need the analog buffer, because the DAC operation is performed on the column lines. For the data driver circuits of 2-inch qVGA OLED panel, the DAC area is $84um{\times}800um$ and the simulated DAC power consumption is 8.5mW with 10-V supply voltage.

Size Effect for Tension Softening Behavior of Ultra-Strength Steel Fiber Reinforcement Concrete (초고강도 강섬유 보강 콘크리트의 인장연화거동에 대한 크기효과)

  • This study was performanced to investigate the fractural and fatigue behavior of ultra-strength steel fiber reinforcement concrete. The tension softening diagram can describe the post-cracking behavior of concrete in tension. In this paper, Three points bending tests with a notch have been carried out to investigate tensile properties of the steel fiber reinforced concrete(SFRC) according to variation of the height. Poly-linear approximation method combined with FEM analysis is applied to the steel fiber reinforced concrete to determine the tension softening diagrams and also to certify the validity of the method. The simulated load-CMOD curves using the determined softening diagrams though the poly-linear approximation method completely agree with the measured ones.

  • This paper reports the design of the ultra low power consumption microhotplates for high temperatures. The microhotplates consisting of a platinum-based heating element on AlN/poly 3C-SiC layers were designed. The microhotplate is a $600\times600{\mu}m^2$ square shaped membrane made of $1{\mu}m$ thick ploy 3C-SiC suspended by four legs. The microhotplate was compared with $Si_3N_4/SiO_2/Si_3N_4$(NON) structure microhotplate by COMSOL simulation system. Thermal uniformity, power consumption and thermal characterizations of microhotplates based on 3C-SiC thin film are better than microhotplates with NON structure.

  • The surface flatness of heteroepitaxially grown 3C-SiC thin films is a key factor affecting electronic and mechanical device applications. This paper describes the surface flatness of poly(polycrystalline) 3C-SiC thin films according to Ar flow rates and the geometric structures of reaction tube, respectively. The poly 3C-SiC thin film was deposited by APCVD (Atmospheric pressure chemical vapor deposition) at $1200^{\circ}C$ using HMDS (Hexamethyildisilane : $Si_2(CH_3)_6)$ as single precursor, and 1~10 slm Ar as the main flow gas. According to the increase of main carrier gas, surface fringes and flatness are improved. It shows the distribution of thickness is formed uniformly.

  • In this paper the weight loss, surface potential decay, surface resistivity and dielectric constant are measured to investigate the surface properties, insulation characteristic changes of PET film according to the discharge treatment. As a result of the test, up to the 10[min] the surface potential decay and surface resistivity have increased. Also, from the result of dielectric constant has decreased. On the other hand, the insulation characteristic of PET film have decreased after 10[min] in the discharge treatment.

  • The animation "Gloom" based on the low poly art expresses the intention of the production by expressing an music as an animation. The paper describe the production process including the modeling, rigging, animation, and rendering. Furthermore, the production process for pure creative animation with client's intention was also considered. Therefore, it can provide guidelines for pure creators who do similar creative work.

  • We present in this Paper a microwave Power sensor fabricated by a standard CMOS process and a bulk micromachining process. The sensor consists of a CPW transmission line, a resistor as a healer, and thermocouple arrays. An input microwave heater, the resistor so that the temperature rises proportionally to the microwave power and tile thermocouple arrays convert it to an electrical signal. The sensor uses air bridged 8round of CPW realized by wire bonding to reduce tile device size and cost and to improve the thermal impedance. Al/poly-Si junctions are used for the thermocouples. Poly-Si is used for tile resister and Aluminium is for transmission line. The resistor and hot junctions of the thermocouples are placed on a low stress silicon nitride diaphragm to minimize a thermal loss. The fabricated device operates properly from 1㎼ to 100㎽\ulcorner of input power. The sensitivity was measured to be ,3.2~4.7 V/W.

  • In this paper, system application techniques of a low-voltage low-power CMOS comparator are proposed. The proposed techniques employ poly-layer lines instead of conventional dummy cells to improve the accuracy of comparators which are located in both ends of a comparator array. This technique is easily applicable for hihg-density systems such as memory. The proposed circuits are implemented using a 0.6 um signle-poly double-metal n-well CMOS technology and the dissipated power is 0.38 mW. at a 20MHz clock speed based on a 3V supply. The comparator offsets are measured separately and compared for system applications. Using the proposed techniues, the measured comparator offsets are reduced by 40% of a conventional case.

  • For a better understanding of the fracture behavior of concrete structures, knowledge of the post-cracking behavior of concrete material is essential.   • In this paper, the characteristics of co-sputtered Ru-Zr metal alloy as gate electrode of MOS capacitors have been investigated. The atomic compositions of alloy were varied by using the combinations of relative sputtering power of Ru and .Zr. C-V and I-Vcharacteristics of MOS capacitors were measured to find the effective oxide thickness and work function. The alloy made of about 50% of Ru and 50% of Zr exhibited an adequate work function for nMOS. C-V and I-V measurements after 600 and $700^{\circ}C$ rapid thermal annealing were performed to prove the thermal and chemical stability of the Ru-Zr alloy film. Negligible changes in the accumulated capacitance and work function before and after annealing were observed. Sheet resistance of Ru-Zr alloy was lower than that of poly-silicon. It can be concluded that the Ru-Zr alloy can be a possible substitute for the poly-silicon used as a gate of nMOS.
