Noise map presents new alternatives of noise reduction counter measure and becomes important tool for making environmental policy. Many input factors such as road conditions, number of vehicles, speeds of vehicles are used for noise prediction of the noise map. However, results of noise prediction make difference depending on the values of the input factors. In this study, effect of measurement method for vehicle speeds all the prediction results of the noise map.

Garbage is one of the most rapidly emerging social problems in korea. Finding a good way of disposing the waste is a real concern to all social members. Especially residents in city are regarded a essential agent to problem solving. The main purpose of this study is to find out the caracteristics of active citizens who participate in the process of waste separation and recycling. Dimensions of the research are demographical charateristics, individual values, knowledge, and information resources of citizens. This study emphasizes the importance of the voluntary participation of consumers. Study results can be utilized as a policy alternatives for local authorities concerned.

The purpose of this study is to develop the decision support model for the investment in the operation and maintenance in telecommunication networks. First, we analyze the relation between the cost of quality and the quality of service, and then establish and analysis tool of the investment alternatives for the improvement of the quality of service. This study will offer a decision tool to enhance an efficiency of the operation and maintenance for telecommunication facilities, and will contribute to shaping a policy of network performance management.

This paper is about strategies for developing information and telecommunications standardization experts(ITSEs). For an analysis of current status of ITSEs or development of strategies for education and utilization of ITSEs, it is necessary to classify the types and roles of ITSEs. The classification of ITSEs can be made standardization technology field, characteristics of expert field, and activity domain. It is necessary to remind the ever growing importance of development and utilization of ITSEs. Furthrmore, More importanct is to set right direction and strategies with valid alternatives to enhance the importance. Correct direction setting, right problem-mindedness, long-term perspective, periodical evaluations are crucial to the policy of further development and utilization of ITSEs.

In many make-to-order production systems customers ask due date confirmed and kept. Unexpected urgent orders from valuable customers often requires short lead times, which causes existing orders in the production schedule to be delayed so that their confirmed due dates cannot be met. This Imposes significant uncertainty on the production schedule in a supply chain. In this paper, we propose a new concept of capacity reservation as a viable tool for due date promising and suggest its operational alternatives. Simulation results show that the reserved capacity scheme appears to outperform simple FCFS scheduling policy in terms of the number of valuable urgent orders accepted and total profit attained.

As a reasonable energy policy has become required because of consuming substantial amounts of oil than others, the studies on energy consumption are in work for energy savings of buildings that spend up to 24% of total energy consumption. However, there aren't basic data on energy consumption and installationregulations for effective equipments in energy guzzled buildings. The best plan to reduce the building energy consumption is that the insulation performance should be improved because the insulation and airtight of building envelopes have an effect on the energy consumption basically. Thus, we should prepare the alternatives to improve insulation performance of envelopes and the efficiency of insulation performance of the window for reducing energy consumption.

This research presents efficient operation schemes that is emphasized on mailing center's automation parts. We utilized the automation indicator to analyzed the mailing center system. For automation of the mailing center, we proposed the sorting automation alternative of registered mail, automation of conveyance system between workshops and the Up-Grade scheme for process improvement in mailing center. The selection of the registered mailing f s automation alternatives is composed of the AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) method. Through the analysis of the space and the quantity of materials, the simulation experiments are conducted to examine conveyance equipment possibility of the mailing center. By simplifying the mailing center conceptually, we proposed the upgrade of process for the mailing center system. The result of this research can give some ideas to people who are formulating a policy for the mailing center operation.

In FMS where tool movement policy is adopted, a mathematical model has been developed which determines the selection of a tool type for each operation and tool loading-part assignment simultaneouly. The objective is to minimize the total cost of operation including machining time cost, tool cost, tool replacement and loading time cost, and tool change time cost. Due to the complexity of the problem, an approximate solution procedure has been developed utilizing the special structure of the model. Tool selection was determined first to allocate one tool type to each operation considering more than one tool type alternatives for each operation. Tool loading-part assignment was determined to minimize tile total number of tool changes due to part mix based on the tool selection.

To internalize climate-related external costs from agricultural production and food consumption Pigou taxes and carbon credits increase private costs for food. Voluntary GHG reduction program for carbon-neutral food can be advantageous over such policy measures since they avoid higher food prices for the poor. The pilot project of low-carbon agriculture certification system is to reduce GHG emissions from agricultural production and enhance the competitiveness of domestic agricultural products. This study examines producers', distributors', and consumers' perceptions of the low-carbon agriculture certification system and analyzes alternatives to promote the low-carbon certificated agricultural products.
