This study was to investigate the origin of meridian through the relationship between Five Su Points and arteriovenous anastomosis. We searched traditional studies about origin of merdian and papers on relationship origin of merdian and blood vessels. As bibliographic search results, we got the conclusion that it is funtion of arteriovenous anastomosis and its anatomical position. Next we compared relationship between it and merdian. We found that Jeong-Acupuncture Points of Five-Su Points and Geun-Acupuncture Points of merdian have close relate to anatomical position(similarities). When we compared relationship between arteriovenous anastomosis and hypertension, we found that Biao Acupuncture Points and Geun Acupuncture Points of merdian have close relate to regulation of blood pressure and blood circulation. According to this results, Five Su Points and arteriovenous anastomosis have close relationship in anatomical position and regulatory function of blood pressure.
The purpose of this study is to analyze tasks to find intersection points of a function and its inverse function. To do this, we produced a task and 64 people solved the task. As a result, most people had a cognitive conflict related to inverse function. Because of over-generalization, most people regarded intersection points of a function and y=x as intersection points of a function and its inverse. To find why they used the method to find intersection points, we investigated 10 mathematics textbooks. As a result, 23 tasks were related a linear function, quadratic function, or irrational function. 21 tasks were solved by using an equation f(x)=x. 3 textbooks presented that a set of intersection points of a function and its inverse was not equal to a set of intersection points of a function and y=x. And there was no textbook to present that a set of intersection points of a function and its inverse was equal to a set of intersection points of $y=(f{\circ}f)(x)$ and y=x.

Oriental medicine specifies points which have proven to be valuable in the treatment of certain diseases or conditions of pain-the so-called master points and alarm points of the acupuncture system. The idea of applying colorpuncture via the master points already suggested itself on the basis of the very old correlations between organs and organ systems and colors which we find in a number of different therapeutic systems and trations. Each of the twelve organs of the acupuncture system has an alarm point which is usually not situated on the related meridian but on another channel. These alarm points are always to be found in the vicinity of the organs they are associated with. The combined use of master points and alarm points is a simple and excellent way of using colorpuncture. Via their inherent vibrational frequencies, the healings rays of colored light radiation are capable of releasing potent resonance forces within the organism, thus contributing to the alleviation and healing of acute and chronic diseases.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate the infection control system and actual conditions according to the type of dental medical institution. Methods: From April 1st to May 10th, 2020, dental institutions were recruited through stratified random sampling. Each item constituting the infection control system by dental institution type was analyzed using the chi-square test and fisher's exact test. Results: The infection control system and operation level of each dental institution type was 89.0 points for university-general hospitals, 75.6 points for dental hospitals, and 34.4 points for dental clinics. The environment management levels were 76.1, 72.5, 73.0, and 74.0 points for university-general hospitals, similar to 77.2, 75.1, 71.0, and 73.8 points for dental hospitals, while dental clinics had 61.1, 40.0, 37.0, and 45.6 points. Prevention and management of staff infection exposure, wearing personal protective equipment, and hand hygiene levels were 90.7, 75.5, 88.5 points for university-general hospitals, 79.8, 79.5, 80.4 points for dental hospitals, and 50.2, 88.0, 61.5 points for dental clinics, respectively. Conclusions: Efforts are required to bring about improvement in the areas of insufficient infection control in order to raise the overall infection control levels, especially the management of dental clinics is urgently needed.
Objective : This study is performed to evaluate the clinical effect of acupuncture to acu-points in the normal side by means of amperage measured from chong points. Methods : Among the outpatients with ankle sprain who visited to Department of Acupuncture & Maxibustion, Jaseng oriental medicine hospital from 21, December 2000 to 10, February 2001, we selected 11 persons who showed normal finding in the X-ray. They were divided into two groups. One group was treated with acupuncture to acu-points in the painful side and the other was treated with acupuncture to acu-points in the normal side. Before and after acupuncture, we measured the amperage from their chong points. We selected 10 persons who we thought they were healthy as a control group. We also measured the amperage from their chong points. Results : Between the control and the ankle sprain group, there were significant differences of differences between the amperages of Rt. chong point and Lt. thong point of the same name. Between the group treated with acupuncture to acu-points in the painful side and the group treated with acupuncture to acu-points in the normal side, there were no significant differences of differences between the amperages of Rt. chong point and Lt. chong point of the same name. Conclusion : This result indicated that the acupuncture to acu-points in the painful side was not less effective than the acupuncture to acu-points in the normal side, and so the more study is needed continuously.
Objectives : First, we analyze the contents of Dong-Eui-Bo-Gam. Second, from the view of the 'Hyung-Sang(形象:body form)' theory, we try to interpret the acupuncture points chosen in each chapter with a base on the contents of the book. Methods : We study on the on 'Hyung-Sang(形象: form)' theory of acupuncture points in each chapter on 'Shin(神)' and 'Hyul(血)' in Dong-Eui-Bo-Gam(東醫寶鑑). Results & Conclusions : The acupuncture points on epilepsy in 'Shin(神)' chapter are come from the purview of 'Shin(神)' type, fire-form, bird-form & the flushing and feeble of lower-abdomen. The acupuncture points on amnesia in 'Shin(神)' chapter are come from the purview of the powerful intestines and deficient heart-lung. The acupuncture points on dementia in 'Shin(神)' chapter are come more from the purview of 'Shin(神)' type, fire-form, bird-form. And the acupuncture points on sudden palpitation in 'Shin(神)' chapter are come from the purview of phlegen form syndromes. As the epistaxis and hematemesis on 'Hyul(血)' happen more the heat of fire than extravasated blood, the acupuncture points on epistaxis and hematemesis in 'Hyul(血)' chapter are come from the purview of 'Shin(神)' type, fire-form, bird-form and Yang-Myeong body. And as well as the acupuncture points on hematemesis in 'Hyul(血)' chapter are come possibly from the purview of 'Wind-form'. The acupuncture points on feeble hematemesis in 'Hyul(血)' chapter are come from the purview of 'The body form on the deficiency of medium energy'. And the acupuncture points on melena in 'Hyul(血)' chapter are come from the purview of 'Hyul(血)' type.
Objectives: The purpose of this study is to consider the concept of Meridian Points(經穴) and to establish the directions in further research. Methods: First, based on the latest results from the researches of Meridian and Collateral(經絡), it was to infer the original concept of Meridian Points(經穴). Second, the meaning of Meridian Points(經穴) has been investigated and its directions in further research was studied founded upon Symbolic Mathematical Study(象數學). Results & Conclusions : Firstly, Meridian Points(經穴) are considered to be the source of information that contains 365 numbers of human physiological information which includes physiological information of Viscera and Bowels(藏府) and Meridian and Collateral(經絡). Secondly, advanced researches are required further to clarify the meaning of Meridian Points(經穴) as Symbolic Mathematical Study(象數學) has established the systems of Meridian Points(經穴). In addition, the efficacy of each Meridian Points(經穴) needs to be revised through literature studies. Clinical studies are essential to practically verify the results from the former theoretical research. Thirdly, the contention to oppose the presence of Meridian and Collateral(經絡) and Meridian Points(經穴) was acknowledged to be incorrect. Lastly, for broadening the theoretical systems of Korean Medicine(韓醫學) with integration of Western scientific knowledge, a paradigm shift is necessary to revise the concepts of Viscera and Bowls(藏府), Meridian and Collateral (經絡) and Meridian Points(經穴) in Korean Medicine(韓醫學). In order to accomplish the shift, the ambiguity in theories of Korean Medicine(韓醫學) should be clarified through the study of Symbolic Mathematical Study(象數學).
This study assessed knowledge-based environments for knowledge management in hospital dietetic departments. This study categorized the current knowledge management environment into routine habits, capability, culture and system. A questionnaire was conducted on dieticians in general hospitals with 400 beds in Seoul and Gyeong-in areas. Excluding responses with significant missing data, 160 usable questionnaires were analyzed by SPSS package programs for the study. The result of the study is summarized as follows. The average number of licensed beds in the hospitals was 717.5 and the average number of meals provided daily was 1,626.3. 53.2% of dieticians were aged between 26 and 35. Of the maximum score of 5 points, habits scored $3.65{\pm}.44$ points, capability scored $3.38{\pm}.44$ points, culture scored $3.21{\pm}.46$ points and system scored $2.77{\pm}.74$ points. Hospitals with a high ratio of occupied beds also had significantly higher points in capability, culture and system. The older the group the higher points it scored in habits and culture. The married group scored higher points in habits while the higher educated group scored higher points in habits and capability. The dietitians in charge of clinical nutrition scored higher points in habit, capability and culture while the higher salaried group scored higher points in habit, culture and capability. Therefore this study would provide useful information for the introduction of knowledge management in hospital dietetic departments.

Objective : It has been reported in recent studies that 50-80% of patients with cervical disc hernia have concomitant sleep disorders. The aim of this study was to evaluate the quality of sleep before and after surgical treatment in patients with cervical disc hernia and to assess the effects on treatment. Methods : The study included 32 patients performed discectomy and fusion with an intervertebral cage through the right anterior cervical approach. Oswestry Disability Index (ODI), Visual Analog Scale (VAS) and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) were applied to all patients preoperatively and at one month postoperatively. Results : The postoperative PSQI total points and all the PSQI subscale points, the ODI and VAS scores were significantly reduced compared to the preoperative values. A positive correlation was determined between the preoperative ODI points and the PSQI total points and sleep duration, sleep latency and daytime functional loss subscale points. A positive correlation was also found between preoperative ODI points and VAS points. A positive correlation was determined between the preoperative VAS points and and the PSQI total points and sleep duration, and sleep latency subscale points. A negative correlation was determined between the postoperative ODI and the daytime functional loss subscale points. Conclusion : The results of the study showed that in patients with cervical disc hernia, sleep quality and daytime functionality were negatively affected by severity of pain that limited daily activities. Bringing the pain under control with surgical treatment was observed to increase sleep quality. It can be concluded that when planning treatment for these patients, it should be taken into consideration that there could be a sleep disorder in addition to the complaints and symptoms such as pain, hypoestesia and loss of strength.

In this paper, we propose an improved single view metrology (SVM) algorithm to accurately measure the height of objects. In order to accurately measure the size of objects, vanishing points have to be correctly estimated. There are two methods to estimate vanishing points. First, the user has to choose some horizontal and vertical lines in real world. Then, the user finds the cross points of the lines. Second, the user can obtain the vanishing points by using software algorithm such as [6-9]. In the former method, the user has to choose the lines manually to obtain accurate vanishing points. On the other hand, the latter method uses software algorithm to automatically obtain vanishing points. In this paper, we apply image resizing and edge sharpening as a pre-processing to the algorithm in order to improve performance. The estimated vanishing points algorithm create four vanishing point candidates: two points are horizontal candidates and the other two points are vertical candidates. However, a common image has two horizontal vanishing points and one vertical vanishing point. Thus, we eliminate a vertical vanishing point candidate by analyzing the histogram of angle distribution of vanishing point candidates. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm outperforms conventional methods, [6] and [7]. In addition, the algorithm obtains similar performance with manual method with less than 5% of the measurement error.
