In this paper, we propose a map alignment method for maps generated by point-line monocular SLAM. In the proposed method, the information of feature lines as well as feature points extracted from multiple maps are fused into a single map. To this end, the proposed method first searches for similar areas between maps via Bag-of-Words-based image matching. Thereafter, it calculates the similarity transformation between the maps in the corresponding areas to align the maps. Finally, we merge the overlapped information of multiple maps into a single map by removing duplicate information from similar areas. Experimental results show that maps created by different users are combined into a single map, and the accuracy of the fused map is similar with the one generated by a single user. We expect that the proposed method can be utilized for fast imagery map generation.

In this paper, a new method of phoneme segmentation of handwritten Korean characters using the local graph pattern is proposed. At first, thinning was performed before extracting features. End-point, inflexion-point, branch-point and cross-point were extracted as features. Using these features and the angular relations between these features, local graph pattern was made. When local graph pattern is made, the of strokes is investigated on contacting point. From this process, pattern is simplified as contacting pattern of the basic form and the contacting form we must take into account can be restricted within fixed region, 4therefore phoneme segmentation not influenced by characters form and any other contact in a single character is performed as matching this local graph pattern with base patterns searched ahead. This experiments with 540 characters have been conducted. From the result of this experiment, it is shown that phoneme segmentation is independent of characters form and other contact in a single character to obtain a correct segmentation rate of 95%, manages it efficiently to reduce the time spent in lock operation when the lock.
In this paper, we present the concept of generalization in constructing windows for subsequence matching and propose a new subsequence matching method. GeneralMatch, based on the generalization. The earlier work of Faloutsos et al.(FRM in short) causes a lot of false alarms due to lack of the point-filtering effect. DualMatch, which has been proposed by the authors, improves performance significantly over FRM by exploiting the point filtering effect, but it has the problem of having a smaller maximum window size (half that FRM) given the minimum query length. GeneralMatch, an improvement of DualMatch, offers advantages of both methods: it can use large windows like FRM and, at the same time, can exploit the point-filtering effect like DualMatch. GeneralMatch divides data sequences into J-sliding windows (generalized sliding windows) and the query sequence into J-disjoint windows (generalized disjoint windows). We formally prove that our GeneralMatch is correct, i.e., it incurs no false dismissal. We also prove that, given the minimum query length, there is a maximum bound of the window size to guarantee correctness of GeneralMatch. We then propose a method of determining the value of J that minimizes the number of page accesses, Experimental results for real stock data show that, for low selectivities ($10^{-6}~10^{-4}$), GeneralMatch improves performance by 114% over DualMatch and by 998% iver FRM on the average; for high selectivities ($10^{-6}~10^{-4}$), by 46% over DualMatch and by 65% over FRM on the average.

In this study, to clearly establish the concept of a geometric modeling I apply for the concept of Pushbroom, limited to two-dimensional radiation Locator to provide a three-dimensional information purposes. Respect to the radiation scanner Pushbroom modeling techniques, geometric modeling method was presented introduced to extract three-dimensional information as long as the rotational component of the Gamma-Ray Linear Pushbroom Stereo System, introduced the two-dimensional and three-dimensional spatial information in the matching relation that can be induced. In addition, the pseudo-inverse matrix by using the conventional least-squares method, GCP(Ground Control Point) to demonstrate compliance by calculating the key parameters. Projection transformation matrix is calculated for obtaining three-dimensional information from two-dimensional information can be used as the primary relationship, and through the application of a radiation image matching technology will make it possible to extract three-dimensional information from two-dimensional X-ray imaging.
The most important factor of mobile robot is to build a map for surrounding environment and estimate its localization. This paper proposes a real-time localization and map building method through 3-D reconstruction using scale invariant feature from monocular camera. Mobile robot attached monocular camera looking wall extracts scale invariant features in each image using SIFT(Scale Invariant Feature Transform) as it follows wall. Matching is carried out by the extracted features and matching feature map that is transformed into absolute coordinates using 3-D reconstruction of point and geometrical analysis of surrounding environment build, and store it map database. After finished feature map building, the robot finds some points matched with previous feature map and find its pose by affine parameter in real time. Position error of the proposed method was maximum. 8cm and angle error was within $10^{\circ}$.

Feature matching using image descriptors is robust method used recently. However, mismatches occur in 3D transformed images, illumination-changed images and repetitive-pattern images. In this paper, we observe that there are a lot of mismatches in the images which have repetitive patterns. We analyze it and propose a method to eliminate these mismatches. MDMF(Multiple Descriptors-based Mismatch Filtering) eliminates mismatches by using descriptors of nearest several features of one specific feature point. In experiments, for geometrical transformation like scale, rotation, affine, we compare the match ratio among SIFT, ASIFT and MDMF, and we show that MDMF can eliminate mismatches successfully.

Recently, user-created video shows high increasing in production and consumption. Among these, videos records an identical subject in limited space with multi-view are coming out. Occurring main reason of this kind of video is popularization of portable camera and mobile web environment. Multi-view has studied in visually representation technique fields for point of view. Definition of multi-view has been expanded and applied to various contents authoring lately. To make user-created videos into multi-view contents can be a kind of suggestion as a user experience for new form of video consumption. In this paper, we show the possibility to make user-created videos into multi-view video content through analyzing multi-view video contents even there exist attribute differentiations. To understanding definition and attribution of multi-view classified and analyzed existing multi-view contents. To solve time axis arranging problem occurred in multi-view processing proposed audio matching method. Audio matching method organize feature extracting and comparing. To extract features is proposed MFCC that is most universally used. Comparing is proposed n by n. We proposed multi-view video contents that can consume arranged user-created video by user selection.

RGB+D database has been widely used in object recognition, object tracking, robot control, to name a few. While rapid advance of active depth sensing technologies allows for the widespread of indoor RGB+D databases, there are only few outdoor RGB+D databases largely due to an inherent limitation of active depth cameras. In this paper, we propose a novel method used to build outdoor RGB+D databases. Instead of using active depth cameras such as Kinect or LIDAR, we acquire a pair of stereo image using high-resolution stereo camera and then obtain a depth map by applying stereo matching algorithm. To deal with estimation errors that inevitably exist in the depth map obtained from stereo matching methods, we develop an approach that estimates confidence of depth maps based on unsupervised learning. Unlike existing confidence estimation approaches, we explicitly consider a spatial correlation that may exist in the confidence map. Specifically, we focus on refining confidence feature with the assumption that the confidence feature and resultant confidence map are smoothly-varying in spatial domain and are highly correlated to each other. Experimental result shows that the proposed method outperforms existing confidence measure based approaches in various benchmark dataset.
Panorama image is a single image obtained by combining images taken at several viewpoints through matching of corresponding points. Existing panoramic image generation methods that find the corresponding points are extracting local invariant feature points in each image to create descriptors and using descriptor matching algorithm. In the case of video sequence, frames may be a lot, so therefore it may costs significant amount of time to generate a panoramic image by the existing method and it may has done unnecessary calculations. In this paper, we propose a method to quickly create a single panoramic image from a video sequence. By assuming that there is no significant changes between frames of the video such as in locally, we use the FAST algorithm that has good repeatability and high-speed calculation to extract feature points and the Lucas-Kanade algorithm as each feature point to track for find the corresponding points in surrounding neighborhood instead of existing descriptor matching algorithms. When homographies are calculated for all images, homography is changed around the center image of video sequence to warp images and obtain a planar panoramic image. Finally, the spherical panoramic image is obtained by performing inverse transformation of the spherical coordinate system. The proposed method was confirmed through the experiments generating panorama image efficiently and more faster than the existing methods.

In this study, tie point observation in aerial triangulation was automated by the image processing methods. The technique includes boundary extraction and We matching processes. The procedures were applied to extract points of Interest and to find their conjugate points in the other images. The image coordinates of the identified points were then used to compute their absolute coordinates. An algorithm was developed in this study for the automation of observation in aerial triangulation, which is a manual process of selecting a tie point and recording the image coordinate of the selected point. The developed algorithm automates this process through the application of a mathematical operator to extract points of interest from an arbitrary image. The root m square error of image coordinates of the developed algorithm is $6.8{\mu}m$, which is close to that of the present analytical method. In a manual environment, the accuracy of the result of a photogrammetric process is heavily dependant on the level of skill and experience of the human operator. No such problem exists in an automated system. Also, as a result of the automated system, the time spent in the observation process could be reduced by a factor of 61.2%, thereby reducing the overall cost.
