A Study on the Optimal Amino Acid Pattern at the Proximal Duodenum in Growing Sheep

  • Nine crossbred castrated lambs fitted with rumen and duodenum cannula and fed a diet of hay and concentrate formulated with ground corn and soybean meal as main ingredients were used to assess the duodenal ideal amino acid pattern. Three synthetic amino acid mixtures with different profile of essential amino acids were duodenally infused in order to get three different amino acid patterns flowing into the duodenum. The mixtures were designed to have similar amino acid profile as rumen microbial protein (Pm), casein (Pc) and modified muscle amino acid (Pmm). Results showed a lower urine nitrogen excretion (p=0.05), a higher nitrogen retention (p=0.04) and bodyweight gain with treatment Pmm. The modified muscle amino acid pattern also promoted a lower ratio of Gly to other amino acids in plasma (Gly/OAA) and a higher RNA and RNA/DNA concentration in the liver of the sheep. Meanwhile, the urea concentration in plasma was reduced and the insulin concentration was increased with Pmm treatment. No differences in glucose and growth hormone concentration in plasma were found among three treatments. All results obtained indicate that the modified muscle amino acid pattern (Lys 100%, Met+Cys 39%, Thr 76%, His 41%, Arg 72%, Leu 158%, Ile 81%, Val 105%, Phe 81% and Trp 13%) was the best for growing sheep.

초기 설계단계에서 선박조종성능 추정에 대한 정도향상 연구 (Improvement of Prediction Technique of the Ship′s Manoeuvrability at Initial Design Stage)

  • 본 논문은 초기 설계단계에서 조종성능추정에 널리 사용되고 있는 Inoue 및 Kijima 추정법을 개선하였다. 이를 위하여 당연구소는 Horn 형태의 타와 선미벌브 형태를 갖는 저속비대선에 대해 12척의 계열 PMM 시험과 타단독시험을 수행하였다. 조종수학모델은 일본에서 개발된 MMG 방법을 사용하여 유체력미계수 및 MMG 실험 계수를 해석하였고, 그 결과를 이용하여 기본제원에 의한 회귀분석을 수행하여 민감도 조사 및 조종성능 해석을 수행하였다. 본 논문의 유효성을 검토하기 위해 개선된 회귀식으로 조종성능 해석을 수행하고 그 결과를 Inoue 추정법, PMM 시험에 의한 추정법 및 실선 시운전 결과를 서로 비교하였다.

A Causal Relationship Model of Factors Influencing One Tambon One Product (OTOP) Snack Food Product Quality in Thailand

  • In 2021 One Tambon One Product (OTOP) food products reached $3,447 billion domestically and $200 million internationally. Mirroring Japan's highly successful OVOP (One Village One Product) poverty reduction and rural employment program, Thailand's OTOP program has since become a global model of success as well. From May through June 2022, OTOP snack food vendor entrepreneurs were contacted and asked to contribute their opinions about what factors affected their enterprise's food product quality. Using systematic random sampling across six Thai regions, 311 export entrepreneurs, production managers, and marketing managers participated. The results revealed that product innovation (PDTI), process innovation (PCSI), packaging design (PKD), and the 4P marketing mix (4PMM) all positively influenced OTOP snack food product quality (PDQ), which, when combined, had a total effect R2 value of 27%. Also, the latent variable TE values for PDTI, PKD, 4PMM, and PCSI, were 0.38, 0.29, 0.22 and 0.11, respectively. Seven of the nine hypotheses examined were supported, with packaging design (PKD) determined to have the greatest influence on the 4P marketing mix (4PMM).

강우 추정관계식의 매개변수 결정을 위한 확률대응법의 적용성 평가 (Applicability Evaluation of Probability Matching Method for Parameter Estimation of Radar Rain Rate Equation)

  • 본 연구에서는 Z - R 관계식의 매개변수 결정을 위한 확률대응법(Probability Matching Method, PMM)의 적용성을 평가하였다. 이를 위해 먼저, 확률대응에 적합한 반사도와 강우강도의 자료 수와 히스토그램의 구간 간격을 결정하기 위한 민감도 분석을 수행하였다. 그 결과, 확률대응법으로 매개변수를 결정할 경우 1,000개의 자료쌍이 구축되어야 한다는 것을 확인하였다. 이는 약 2시간 정도 수집된 자료 수에 해당한다. 또한, 히스토그램의 구간 수는 100 구간 정도가 되어야 한다는 것을 확인하였다. 아울러 확률대응에는 반사도와 강우강도의 누가확률 차이보다 1차 모멘트 차이를 이용하는 것이 양호한 결과를 얻을 수 있고, 30~100% 구간을 대응하는 것이 적합하다는 것을 확인하였다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 비슬산 레이더로 관측한 실제 호우사상에 대해 확률대응법으로 매개변수를 결정하였다. 추정된 매개변수를 이용하여 결정한 레이더 강우는 전체적으로 지상강우보다 크게 산정되었다. 하지만, 이러한 결과는 레이더 강우와 지상 강우를 쉽게 대응하기 어려운 기존의 연구 결과를 고려하면 감안할 수 있는 부분으로 본 연구에서 평가한 확률대응법이 비교적 기존의 Z - R 관계식 보다 호우사상에 적합한 레이더 강우를 산정할 수 있다고 판단하였다.

PMM for Surface Treatment of Concrete with the Utilization of By-Products

  • The disadvantage of PMM's (polymer-modified mortars) that are currently on the market is the utilization of expensive polymer additives and also the cost of the other components. One of the possibilities how to decrease this price is the effective utilization of waste materials which are very inexpensive in spite of their good properties. The combinations of different degree in polymer adhesiveness and waste secondary raw materials - fly ash - are experimentally verified in the paper. The use of fly ash in adhesive materials for ceramic tiles is limited by unsatisfactory initial adhesiveness to sintered ceramic sherd as a result of a running pozzolanic reaction that lowers the efficiency of polymer additives. On the other hand, the use of adhesive and backfill coating materials for gluing ETICS board insulation materials has brought very good results.

초기 계획 단계에서 선박조종성능 해석에 대한 정도향상 연구 (Improvement of Analysis of the Ship's Maneuverability at Early Design Stage)

  • In this paper, we studied to improve Inoue's[1] and Kijima's[2] model used to predict ship's manoeuvrability in initial design stage. To perform this work, we had PMM(Planar Motion Mechanism) test and rudder open water test for 12 Models of low-speed blunt-ship which have horn type rudder and bulb in afterbody. Using MMG(Mathematical Modelling Group) model, we analyzed hydrodynamic and MMG experimetnal coefficidnts used to search sensitivities and to estimate ship's manoeuvrability, adn the results are performed by the regression analysis of principle parameters. We varified them to analyze ship's manoeubbrability , had simulate manoeubrability to check revised MMG model and compared them wiht Inoue's method. the result of PMM test and sea trial. Then it is found that the revised method can predict the maneuverability more accurately even for an unstable ship.

다구치의 동적 강건설계와 그 대안에 관한 고찰 (A Review on the Taguchi Method and Its Alternatives for Dynamic Robust Design)

  • Taguchi's robust design is a method for quality improvement by making a system insensitive to uncontrollable variations incurred by noise factors and it has received much attention in a wide range of engineering fields. Robust design can be broadly classified into static and dynamic ones. This paper is concerned with dynamic robust design. Taguchi suggested to use a signal-to-noise ratio as a robustness measure, but there has been much debate and criticism on its blind use. In order to cope with this drawback, many alternatives have been proposed. They are divided into performance measure modeling (PMM) and response function modeling (RFM) approaches. In this paper, both PMM and RFM approaches for dynamic robust design are reviewed. An example for illustration is provided as well.

  • Rainfall estimation is important to weather forecast, flood control, hydrological plan. The empirical and statistical methods by measured data(surface rain gauge, rainfall radar, Satellite) is commonly used for rainfall estimation. In this study, the rainfall intensity for East Asia region was estimated using the empirical relationship between SSM/I data of DMSP satellite and brightness temperature of GEOS-9(10.7${\mu}m$) with cloud types(ISCCP and MSG classification). And the empirical formula for rainfall estimation was produced by PMM (Probability Matching Method).

  • 본 논문은 초기설계 단계에서 HPMM시험을 이용하여 조종성능을 추정하기 위해서 Abkowitz와 MMG 수학모델을 비교하였다. 본 논문에서 MMG 해석에 의한 알고리즘은 일본의 MMG 그룹의 해석 방법을 적용하여 연구되었다. 해석 결과는 정유운반선을 대상선박으로 선정하여 Abkowitz 수학모형 및 실선 시운전 결과와 비교 되었다.

  • The purpose of present study is to examine the long-term strength improvement of hardener-free epoxy-modified mortars with steam curing. As a result, strength improvement of hardener-free epoxy-modified mortars is markedly improved with increasing of air-dry curing period. This is improved by markedly increase the degree of hardening of the hardener-free epoxy resin in the epoxy-modified mortars with additional air-dry curing period.
